I didn't liked this hotel because it's not worth for the money you spend. Staffs are nice but the building structure and room is not good. The facilities are less. The renovation works really disturbed

Central location, excellent facilities. Room had those little extras that some of the more expensive hotels in New Haven don't have, such as the all important coffee machine!
Staff at the front desk were super friendly and helpful, even when I arrived close to midnight.

This is a great hotel slap bang in the middle of New Haven Yale Campus . Centrally located for the arts, restaurants, live music venues it is perfect. The staff are outstanding and will help with any queries you have and provided me with a pin ho to overcome the rain. A fantastic lobby area with books is ideal to relax with a coffee.

There are great museums, restaurants and other sites to see in New Haven, Modern and Zuppardi's are my favorite pizza places. I would avoid the "famous" spots in Wooster area -- the founders are gone and the kids don't know how to make pizza. However, I would not stay in the city. Ugly traffic and construction and you would have to park in a off street facility. Better to stay outside in the many suburbs and also less expensive. Pictures below are from Cafe Fiore in Branford -- great food.

Can't say enough wonderful things about New Haven.
Can't say enough wonderful things about New Haven. A lovely town to enjoy for a long weekend. Simply walking the campus at Yale can soothe your soul. Great eateries and shops, fun historical landmarks, special cultural treats from museums to architecture.
You MUST go to Louis Lunch, home of the first hamburger. Milkcraft makes icecream in front of your eyes with liquid nitrogen. Several bookstore/coffeeshop options.
The Group W Bench will appeal to your inner hippie. Plenty of museums to enjoy.
Don't forget to ask for a room with a view of campus when you stay at The Study.

We came to area for daughter college graduation, had her car parked in parking lot under a street light and it was stolen. Apparently the hotel camera didn’t cover the parking lot !!!!! We understand it isn’t the hotel’s fault someone would steal a car from their parking lot, but security is not a top priority at this location!!

- no restaurant (although on booking.com lunch and dinner option was offered). Check carefully your invoice - room, parking and breakfast! Check your credit card regarding holds! if not you might end up paying a lot more that initially booked via booking.com

Trip from Hell:
Trip from Hell:
My flight was cancelled (United Airline) very poor service and worst customer service I have ever encountered. had to finally book another airline. So, I send a message to inform the hotel that I would only be arriving a day late. When I finally arrived the reception clerk informed me that my booking had been cancelled and he couldn't find it in the system. he told me to step aside very rudely. His senior finally came to help him. And miraculously they both found my book. I then presented my credit card which was declined. And he informed me loudly that it had been declined, I gave him another card it was declined again. My daughter (leaves in the USA) gave him her card, gain it was declined. So, I called my bank in South Africa. Who quickly informed me to tell the clerk to stop tapping Rand 35 000. Due to fraud, you can only tap Rands only 250. Note not fraud in South Africa but global!!! The clerk informed me that all the cards he is used to in the USA accepted Tapping!!! i told him the world has changed not everyone/VISITERS come from America. The world is now global!!!!
Nothing at all. This hotel is a nightmare. There were no rooms available nowhere and was forced to stay here. OMG, please do yourself a favor, and don't even dare to visit this place. The filthiest place I have ever visited. There is no other way to describe it. Then to top it off, it's full of drug dealings, woman offering to sell you, their body. Infested with drug user's and car break ins.
Great location, great amenities, friendly staff. Everyone we encountered - and I mean everyone - who worked at the Blake Hotel were friendly and helpful. Comfy beds, great rooftop bar, and access to a free laundry room (came in very handy during our stay). Valet parking was very convenient. We found our "go to" hotel for our trip to CT to visit friends and family.
The loft (201) was very roomy and very nicely decorated. It had everything needed for a short stay, great shower, comfortable bed, TV and kitchen. A nice bakery/coffee shop on the ground floor and a pub steps away from the building. it is located one block away from State street station in New Haven and 10 min walking distance from the Yale university art gallery.
The Study is a wonderful hotel. Super comfortable, well located and everything a family could want in a hotel. We unfortunately left a few valuables behind in the safe in the room, but the team sorted this out with a courier delivery to our next hotel without any hesitation or fuss. Thanks for having us - we’ll be back to stay.
The room design was very nice, though a little small. We had drinks at the bar which were very good. The bartender was very helpful and nice. We also had breakfast in the morning and it was also very good. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. My wife also enjoyed shopping at IKEA.
We loved the room and the shared spaces. The pillows were top notch (hard to find in a hotel)! The hotel itself was masterfully decorated and the coffee was exquisite. Helpful and kind staff, perfect location. Only wish we had stayed longer!
The location was good in a quiet residential area. All the bedding and furniture was new and good high quality and comfortable.Everything was there in kitchen and bathroom. The host Brian was very much reachable and helpful all times.
The location is superb, close to the sea, parks and woods. Also easy distance to New Haven Town. The house is tastefully furnished and well equipped with daily essentials. The beds are comfortable and we had a great stay.
The room and bathroom were clean. A bit of a strange smell in the hallway. Room was on backside away from traffic. Fine for overnight travel. A little too expensive for hotel but might have been the city norm.
This hotel has a lot of antiques from Yale that makes it look very "academic". The hotel staff are very helpful. Location is second to none in New Haven. You can pretty much walk to all of the important sites.
I didn't liked this hotel because it's not worth for the money you spend. Staffs are nice but the building structure and room is not good. The facilities are less. The renovation works really disturbed
Nice clean room with sofa. The location is great. Walking distance to New Haven green, restaurants, and bakeries. Friendly staff, smooth check-in and checkout. I would recommend this place to stay.
I didn't stay the night because the girl in the room next to mine was talking on her phone for @ 2-hours while dropping F-bomb after F-bomb.
I ended up leaving a getting a hotel room instead.
I loved how the property had a 24/7 security guard. That made me really comfortable at night. The property is also gated which I appreciated given the area the hotel was located in.
We love this place. It is a treat staying in this historic, quirky, and lovingly restored mid-20th-century modern hotel. The rooms are tranquil and comfortable.
Suites are designed for long stay - with full kitchen, lounge area and plenty of storage. Well equipped and very comfortable. Breakfast included in room rate.
