We loved our time at Estero Inn. The location is perfect along the waterfront, there are lots of nice eateries and shops nearby and you can rent boats or kayaks next door.
The staff are lovely, really friendly people, and the rooms are fantastic. The wildlife is spectacular too - in two days we spotted sea otters, sea lions, ospreys, divers and grebes and a bald eagle.
There's so much to explore in the local area. If you like wildlife, you can walk down to the boardwalk trail or drive to the elephant seal viewing point north of San Simeon. Kayaking on the bay is recommended, and good value.

Loved Morro Bay, but wish we'd had more time to visit other places around the area. Easy walk to shops and restaurants on main street. We especially liked Kickers (Tabitha was awesome), The Great American Fish Company, and Blue Sky Bistro. This was our first trip to the area, but it won't be our last.

Morro Bay is a charming small oceanside town.
Morro Bay is a charming small oceanside town. It is quiet, at least in February when we visited. The sea lions and otters are fun to watch and listen to. There are lots of restaurants and bars to chose from for going out. We loved the wine and beer choices at The Savory Palette. There is live music but not on the night we were there.

We were surprised by the small town.
We were surprised by the small town. Great places to eat and buy souvenirs, but best of all was seeing the otters and their cubs up close. We loved it! There were also some harbor seals on the platforms. Guaranteed fun for animal lovers. We also took a walk to Morro Rock and watched the sandbanks and the waves breaking on the rocks. It was great! We had breakfast at Frankie and Lola's Front Street Cafe. We had lunch at Tognazzinis, dinner at The House of Juju and beer at Three Stacks and a Rock Brewing Company.

Morro Rock is incredible!
Morro Rock is incredible! Be sure you leave enough time to walk around the wharf and the rock area. There were so many restaurant options that it was difficult to choose one as we were only in Morro Bay one night.
What an amazing place to stay! The property is small but don’t let that fool you! Easy check in and very delightful lady who checked us in. The perfect location in Morro Bay! Walking distance to great thrift store shopping and yummy restaurants! Parking is a little tight but not bad. Cute and very clean rooms. The hotel doesn’t have air conditioning, but the weather is perfect. The staff provided a fan, but we didn’t need it. The hotel is super cute and I highly recommend staying here. We definitely will be staying here again!❤️
Highly recommend this hotel if you’re planning to travel with your pets! It was my first time being in a pet friendly hotel and I had lower expectations but surprisingly the carpets were very clean, the room was extremely spacious. The room also came with an entire kitchen with a table and vintage microwave/fridge and stove with silverware as well. The bathroom was tidy but very clean and in great condition. The room didn’t have any bad odor it was nice and fresh, I really loved the wall decor as well!
I was a little worried with the hotel being 2 star and 1/3 the cost of our hotel in Monterey but it was perfect for what we needed. Small hotel, easy parking, short walk to the water front and Morro Bay was lovely. Such a chilled out place with plenty choice for restaurants. The room was spacious, modern, minimal and clean. Would recommend! Lovely white bedding and lots of white towels - my kind of clean and fresh!
Great experience with staff, check in etc. was great. Good location, just at the end of the Morro Bay commercial area- easy to walk to restaurants, etc. Free parking, equipped with elevators, windshield cleaning supplies in parking area. Modern secure door locks, etc.

Nice room with all needed facilities. Air conditioner functioned very well (was not as a matter of course at other hotels:) Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location. Good breakfast.
The room was incredibly clean and comfortable, considered the very low price we paid. Overall, this hotel was the perfect place for a one-night stop of a journey on the road.
The staff at the hotel was very friendly, the room was clean and super close to parking and in a classic motel style. Perfect for an overnight stay when visiting Morro Bay
