We had an excellent breakfast pack from them on our early morning excursion. Well presented and packed for us to eat as we got hungry on the boat trip. All were wrapped in eco-friendly packaging. 10/10
We were super happy with how they explained their commitment to being responsible towards nature and what they do to be actively involved. The info in the rooms was presented subtly, although not overwhelmingly. The free shopping bags and water bottles were a nice touch.

Puerto Ayora is a place where you can enjoy the nature and have the facilities of touristic places like different restaurants, bars, etc. Unfortunately, because of those facilities the fauna has gone to other islands like San Cristobal so that is a downside, but if you go with family it is a great place to get a screenshot of what Galapagos is.

A small but beautiful city.
A small but beautiful city. It was a fishing village but has been transformed to a tourist town. The main street -- Ave. Charles Darwin, is full of life, literally -- sea lions, iguanas, pelicans, etc. It's an adventure like no other.

It's a nice, friendly town.
It's a nice, friendly town. It's got plenty of ATMS, several grocery stores, and a lovely oceanfront walk. The fish market is a must see in the morning. There are sea lions who hang around waiting for scraps. I also saw iguanas and pelicans waiting for handouts. There's very nice bars, restaurants, and market stalls. It's a little spendy, because you're on an island. There's things you can do for free, on your own. There's also TONS of tour companies running day trips to all the nearby islands. You can walk most anywhere, and there are cheap taxis as well.

The touristy part and the harbor to the Darwin research...
The touristy part and the harbor to the Darwin research center was full of shops, restaurants both cheap and expensive, street food, and travel agencies. People are friendly and it’s clean and safe.
Los Kiosko is an intense street where people are coming at you with menus trying to get you come to them - at the same time. But they have specials for $5 lunch or dinner plus a regular menu with cheap meals too. Great Ecuadorian food! We ate ice cream everyday! There was a little froyo place on Baltra and a gelato place down the same street closer to the harbor that was excellent. We found pan de yucca at a street food vendor that was magical, though not always open.
Sea lions are everywhere near the water (not in the same capacity as San Cristobal but still).
You can watch blue footed boobies diving into the water all the time and the frigits are out in mass as well!
Everyone is happy.
Also we found our favorite travel agency with the Galapagos Living Travel Agency. They were fair priced and hilarious. Lots of laughs and planning of epic next day adventures.
The hotel room was very spacious and beds comfortable. Filtered water on every floor. Oscar and his cousin were helpful, courteous, and friendly! The breakfast was excellent. Pool was good, if you want to use the jacuzzi you have to reserve it. Even thought the hotel is up the hill from downtown area taxi ably $1.50 each way. The hotel has a rooftop area for lounging with a beautiful view of the city and ocean. I would recommend this hotel and will stay here again when visiting Santa Cruz 😎
Great location for a good price. Friendly staff. The aircon was decent enough to keep the room cool. The bed is huge, as it is two small double beds put together, and you don't notice any gap in the middle. Next door to one of the best restaurants in town and close to everything else, including the best beach in Puerto Ayora, playa de la estación. Decent kitchen with plenty of seating, and free drinking water. Plus you can leave your bags in the hostel after checkout.
My husband and I live an Galapagos and have stayed in many hotels in Puerto Ayora. I particularly like this location a few blocks away from the center; it's so much more peaceful and quiet at night! Rooms are large, a/c works great, good hot water showers. We ate breakfast (not included - we bought supplies at the grocery and stored in the mini-fridge in our room) on the communal 2nd floor balcony. Also appreciate the free drinking water.
Great location in Puerto Ayora. The flat came with a full kitchen which is perfect if you do not want to eat outside all the time.
the rooms are spacious with air condition.
local stores, restaurants and diving centers within less than 10 min walk.
the main street is reached within 10-15 min walk.
Patricia is really kind and helpful, ready to help if needed.
Great family-owned guesthouse in Puerto Ayora. Owner doubles as a tour booking agent and can help with arrangements in the Galapagos. Large comfortable rooms and apartments. Lovely breakfast, and they're happy to provide it early or the night before if you have an early tour. Great location. Working WiFi, hot showers, nice terrasse area for reading.
Hotel is walking distance to restaurants, stores, and supermarket. Very unique décor throughout hotel. Big spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Nice breakfast up on 3rd floor. Staff were friendly and helped getting us an air conditioned taxi for $25 to take us to ferry when en route to airport. Filtered water on site to fill your own water bottle.
Second floor apartment located across from the ferry dock in Puerto Ayora. Good value for family of 4. Excellent location with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Modern apartment is large and quiet with a functional kitchen, living area and large bedroom with 2 queens. Plenty of closet space, Wifi worked fine, A/C in bedroom.
right in the center of Puerto Ayora
2 minutes walk from the port (departing tours and boats for other islands) and the buses (airport)
staff was nice and organized my diving tour and my Isabela day tour
complimentary water, hot drinks

wifi is pretty good for the Galapagos except in the rooms
I adored the mother and daughter who keep this hotel running. They were helpful and had a wealth of knowledge about things to do in the area. I can't recommend this hotel enough for anyone interested in a more extended stay in Santa Cruz. I applaud them for their patience as I tried to navigate Spanish.
Very warm welcome. We were made to feel at home and enjoyed a really nice breakfast. Being slightly outside the main town (Puerto Ayora) made it feel very tranquil. Lovely green surroundings with beautiful flowers and banana trees!
Great location, easy to find, quiet evwn though it is on one of the main streets in Puerto Ayora. Staff was helpful with recommendations and they stored my luggage for ne for 3 days while I traveled to Isabela.
great stay at Hotel Acacia. very pleasant concept that I would not have expected in the Galápagos Islands. the hotel staff really makes the difference - very pleasant and always helpful. 100% recommendation
Perfect location! Honestly the best hotel on the island. So cozy. The restaurant is amazing and beautiful view. Every day right at my feet were sea lions, crabs, pelicans and fish. It was a dream .
Awesome experience! Everything perfect from check in to check out! The staff is the icing of the cake! Great people and they make you feel home. Highly recommend it in Puerto Ayora!
Off the main street in Puerto Ayora, a nice tucked away quiet location. Kitchen available, fresh water dispenser available (very nice!). Rooms are a good size. Air con works well.
