The location is amazing. We came to Agios Nikolaos beach last year for the day and loved it so much we booked a week this year. It’s a picture book location, sandy beach and clear water, ideal for swimming. Koukis club is up a few steps from the beach with a lovely pool area, pool bar, taverna with views over the bay, and a beach bar. We asked for a third floor apartment and the views from the balcony were amazing. The breakfast area also has tables outside with lovely views of the bay. Also the balconies are shaded in the afternoon so it’s nice to escape the sun if you want to. There’s a lovely family taverna a couple of minutes walk back up the road and one or two others as well.

- it is basically a farm-vile with chicken , dogs, rabbits , goats , sheep - which for us and for our young daughter was awesome
- silent and calm , just what you would need to recharge
- the hosts were really nice, they provided fresh vegetable from their garden , chicken eggs , home-made cake and even one evening when it was rainy they brought us pizza. Also, we needed something from Zante and Mrs Johanna offered to search and buy it when she went in town. Not to forget, we have received a welcome present and when we left she gave us as gift home-made olive oil.
- facilities, all you could need : dishwasher, washing machine, electrical stove, oven , BBQ area with enough wood prepared to use
- it is located 10 - 12 mins walking distance both to Banana Baya Beach and also to Ionio Beach ( no charges for beach- beds )
- it is located 3 mins walking distance from several souvenir shops , mini markets ( where you can find almost everything needed ) , coffee shops
- around , at 5 - 10 mins walking distance there are several Greek taverns
If you wish to have a nice , calm and recharging holiday , I definitely recommend it and for sure , we will get back.

A great location to explore the rest of the island, you will need transport to get about because the public transport is a bit hit and miss. Xirokastello has some fine restaurants (Agnadi and the Windmill to name but 2) so does Argassi (Zinc) did not visit Vasilikos but drove through it and it looks nice.

Ms. Rula is a very kind host. Always smiling, hard working in the morning making sure everything is in place whether she'd be doing laundry or sweeping the leaves. She is very attentive of her clients and takes extra care of them like offering baked homemade goods in the morning wich were delicious. The location was away from the busier areas like Zante Town and Argassi, but still accessible in 10 mins. There is a family run Taverna Agnas (I think) near the Florida Taverna, great food and set on the top of the hill it gas amazing views!Reda

The staff was friendly and the breakfast was so good! The best part is that it’s away from all the touristy places and you feel like you are in paradise. There is a beach about 3 min drive and the hotel has a shuttle that drops you off and picks you up. We rented a car for two days and it was dropped off and picked up from the hotel. The unit is small but efficient with a good kitchenette. The small size did not matter as there is a lovely balcony overlooking the open ocean. The complex is close to the beaches, but be aware that the beaches in Vasilikos are very crowded in August. Our hosts were gracious and attentive. We were given a plate of the most delicious green figs. All our needs were met. Highly recommend.

Pigi's villa is in an ideal location and very quiet. I would suggest some form of transport like renting a car or bike, which can be easily parked on the premises. The rooms are cleaned daily and suited all our needs. Pigi was always available and just a call away. She was very informative and had many suggestions.

Lia was always available and assisted us on our excursions, nothing was too much trouble.. everything was clean, the pool was a refuge from the sun. I cannot fault this place, and we will certainly be back.
