There's something for everyone in Sour! If you're looking for an intimate boutique hotel with an amazing sunset view while sipping on a glass of rose wine, you got that! If you prefer sandy beaches and lounging while your kids build sand castles, you have that too! If you're looking for the freshest seafood catch, you're in the right place! Craving that delicious Foul and Hummus breakfast or beef fillet sandwiches or Kanafeh? Sour has that for you too! Shaped like a peninsula, the ancient city of Sour, or Tyre, is surrounded by the cleanest swimming water in Lebanon, as well as some of the richest Phoenician and Roman archeological sites.
The Old Town offers lively night life, while the main town is bustling with restaurants and cafes to please everyone's palette. You can rent a boat to go fishing or simply enjoy a boat ride around the city. And a mere 15-minute drive takes you to the Amalfi-like coast of Al-Bayyada in Naqoura with spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea. Families, who are more conservative will also feel just as comfortable on the beach, in the restaurants and on the streets of the city. It's a very open-minded environment and everyone feels welcomed.

The city is beautiful but it’s badly maintained.
The city is beautiful but it’s badly maintained. Trash everywhere on the beaches and bad traffic organization.
If cars were not allowed on the Cornish i think the city would be much more pleasant for tourists and there will be more cafes and shops for people to explore and enjoy

Sour has a beautiful energy that you cannot ignore, it is still authentic and simple something we lack in Lebanon. The beach is one of the best beaches but the trash on the shore made me angry and furious.
The municipality should take a strict action in keeping it clean and fine whomever throw anything on the shore.
We must protect this area in Lebanon!!

Tyre is one of the greatest cities of Lebanon.
Tyre is one of the greatest cities of Lebanon. For its archaeological and historical sites, to its small old streets and colorful buildings, its warm and welcoming people and its amazing beaches, Tyre is not to be missed.
