Brazilian Beach Fun
Sophisticated restaurants, beautiful sandy beaches, nightlife going on till sunrise, all mixed with cosy ‘pousada’ guest houses and luxuriant tropical landscape… Armaçao de Búzios is one of those beautiful Brazilian beach towns where samba and good mood blend perfectly with sun and crystalline waters, opening the doors to a memorable holiday.
The city occupies a peninsula, spanning through hills, beaches, coves, tropical vegetation and charming roads. Of course, there are also plenty hotels and resorts on the beach in Búzios. Follow the central Rua das Pedras cobblestone street and find a mix between colonial architecture, bustling life, and beautiful sea views. Hotels, B&B’s and guest houses in central Búzios are a good option to enjoy the nightlife.
The town became popular in the 60’s, when Brigitte Bardot fell in love with it. A statue of her can be found in the central promenade. The beaches of Ferradura and João Fernandes are popular for their bars and seafood eateries. Armação, and Geribá are well-known surfing spots, while Manguinhos is a windsurfing beach.
Before arriving at Umberto Modiano Airport or Rio’s Santos Dumont Airport, check the deals for Búzios accommodation on Booking.com. Just grab your caipirinha and enjoy!
We loved Búzios! It was very picturesque with beautiful views and beaches. Many many restaurants and bars, live music, art, shopping, etc.
The city had well maintained buildings and roads. We ate dinner in a central seafood restaurant called Valencia something, super tasty fish, shrimp, mussels, and squid. We had breakfast in a Doce Mel Buzios (padaria) with good coffee, juice, and warm sandwishes.
We were only sadded by the fact that we only booked 1 night in Búzios!

The weather could be better. Most of the time it's cloudy, which is great for walking around, but frustrating when you want to spend a day at sea or on the beach.

Lovely place, lots of restaurants and exciting for young people. Safe to walk on the streets and didn't see any beggars as in Rio. Our family of 8 loved it so much that we left Pousada Corsario where we had a bad exerience and stayed another 4 days at the Atlantico Buzios, where we enjoyed our stay.
Selling staff at the shops are friendly and laid back, no pressure. Quality shopping as there are some shooping areas that remind us of Leblon !
It was definitely worth the 3.5 hours transfers, we recommend it.

This is a beautiful place, but it seems more suited to residents than to visitors. I couldn't escape the sensation of being an intruder on wealthy people's private beaches. The Orla Bardot is the one exception: it is beautiful and accessible. Pick your beach and stay at a pousada or hotel nearby. Getting around the peninsula is very difficult, whether by car (roads are narrow, windy and mostly cobbled, and parking is difficult) or on foot (the beaches are far apart, access is confusing and there are few footpaths). Still, it was well worth the visit just for the beautiful beaches.

Búzios is a quiet place for everyone, from young people who want to take a little break from Rio chaotic lifestyle still having the possibility to have entertainment. the beaches are extraordinary, and just easy to explore.
Beautiful newly build/furnished house on top of a hill overseeing two beaches and the sea of Buzios.
- High quality furniture (difficult to find in Brazil)
- Amazing infinity pool
- Very private and quiet atmosphere (feels more like a private vila than a hotel)
- Perfect individual service.
We had dinner at other upscale “Pousadas” in the region ( Vila d’este and Abracadabra - Very good restaurants) and casa mirador definitely offers the best views and the more private atmosphere.
Everything!! The location, the facilities, the room, the view, and on top of it: The hosts!
Marcus and Simone are fantastic! And will do absolutely everything to make you feel at home.
Moreover - The breakfast is delicious! It is not your usual breakfast buffet - It has a huge variety of food - Fruits, desserts, juices, eggs.
This is by far the best place I have stayed at ij Brazil. If I go back to Buzios, I will 100% stay here again.
This hostel has one of the best atmospheres that I have ever experienced. It has a huge garden with a bar and a pool, where everyone gets together. This gives it a very familiar vibe. The owners are great, help you with everything and will be your best friends in a couple of hours. This was the first place where we went when we first arrived in Brazil and we will come back here every time that we can. Highly recommend.
Loved, loved, loved this hotel! Would definitely stay here again if returning to Buzios. Such a cute style / interior, a lovely pool and garden with a view of Ferradura bay, and the breakfast was such a treat every morning. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The general atmosphere of the place is just so nice.
The place is very well located, the view is beautiful. The facilities are good, the breakfast was very good. We also used the swimming pool a little, it's small but pretty decent since the hotel was almost empty. The parking lot is practically next to the rooms so it is very convenient.
This is possibly the most beautiful boutique hotel in Buzios with an amazing, friendly staff. The views are breathtaking, the sunset is surreal. Breakfast is delicious! The pool is so nice. The room with a private pool on the balcony is absolutely stunning.
Location. Pet friendly. Good value for the money.
The hotel is located at one of the best beaches in Buzios.
The room is spacious, good breakfast. Great pool area.
Very recently this hotel changed administration so a lot of improvements have been done.
Excellent location, view from hotel is breath taking, rooms are big, clean, comfy and balcony spectacular!
Real life was better than pictures!
Beach Joao Fernandinho was perfect and hotel provides team working in the beach with chairs and umbrellas.
if you are looking for a downtown location, this is it! keep in mind downtown Buzios can be loud at night. this house is beautiful, lots of light, great balcony and view. we loved it! They also have beach chairs and umbrella, which was very useful!
Great hotel. Close to the beach. Very good breakfast. Good bed and clean room. The best part is you can use the facilities of the other hotel opposite which are AMAZING. Overall satisfied.
