I visited Tetouan at the time of Ramadan, which added a new dimension to the whole experience. The medina is of a fair size, possible to walk through it using the markings. The people were also friendly and willing to help if asked for directions.
The Archeological Museum has a nice collection of mosaics from the Roman time.
The bus terminal is a short walk from the medina, but I found that not all the buses listed were actually running. Out of 3 buses in direction Tangier (8:00, 8:15 and 8:30) there was only one bus on the morning of my departure (at 8:45 🙂 ! )

A prosperous town with lots of people living their lives out on the streets. The Medina is not as pretty as the Fes Medina but felt more relevant to the daily needs of Moroccans and much less crowded. Delicious and inexpensive pastries available everywhere!

Tetouan is one of (if not the most) beautiful city in Morocco. The people there were amongst the friendliest I have encountered in Morocco in the two trips that I have been there. Many foreigners go to stay at the nearby beach properties, and miss out on the jewel that is Tetouan.

It's a strange city.
It's a strange city. We stayed in it for four days and it seemed very long to me.
Very interesting old medina, but 2 days to see the city is enough.
I found there was almost no place to eat in the city - we had to go to Martil for a fish restaurant.

The place is very amazing and i wish i had more days to stay here. I got a chance to visit another city an hour away called Chefchouane (The Blue City) its another small city not far from Tetouan and i will definately recommend a visit there, its has amazing falls and friendly markets and. All in all Tetouan has alot to offer and if you ever get a chance to spend time in the city centre of Tetouan please i will advice to go to a small coffe shop called AMAZING COFFEE, they make coffee to die for and the staff and owner are just very friendly and great people. Generally i will sum up by saying i will be back here cos its a really good place.

Excellent value for money for food. people very friendly but be prepared to contend with a lot of people insisting on offering to bring you on tours of Medina etc, this was the only annoying thing I found on the trip but very hard to avoid. Very cheap restaurant called "La Union" in Teteoun, taxi service is excellent and cheap.
Beyond my expectation, the whole Riad was so great, my room was so comfortable, I took the Junior Suite, the water heater for me is a must, the room had AC and TV which really helpful during Morocco's 9pm curfew. They are serving the breakfast from the roof top and it was so great. The ambiance of the whole Riad was really nostalgic that you can really feel you are somewhere else but feels like home. And lastly, Younes was the star, he really help me all thru my stay, he guided me about the city.
Perfect location in the old medina, just inside Bab Tut.
The rooms are cost and traditionally furnished, there's a nice central covered space and an open-air courtyard, and rooftop views to enjoy. Mr Lotfi is extremely helpful with suggestions recommendations about where to go and what to do. I've stayed here before, and this is a perfect place from which to explore Tetouan. Enjoy.

The price was low and the tiny room had 2 twin beds. It was one of the quietest riads I stayed at. I tried not rate the room not too harshly given the price, but it was the smallest and least nice of all the rooms I stayed over 12 nights Morocco; some of the other places didn’t cost over 20 euros more than this, a night.
Everything! Perfect place, amazing value for money, it was my second time and I would definitely stay again. Unbeatable location, right in the town's centre, easy to find which rarely happens in Morocco. Spotless, spacious and bright room, excellent bed, modern and well kept bathroom. The owner is lovely, very welcoming.
Blanco Riad is a beautiful traditional B&B in the historic Medina of Tetouan with beautiful amenities and a delicious restaurant. I have been coming here for years and always feel so fortunate every time I am available to return. Asmae and the whole staff are so knowledgeable, sweet, and helpful.
In the heart of the city Tetouan a vivid place you find this calm and clean place call a home. The hostel is well located to reach gate de routiere for the destinations like Chefchaouen or to Supratoues to Martil at the beach and CTM Busses. Laundry is available too.
We liked everything. The gentleman who works at the hotel was very knowledgeable and accommodating. The location perfect for the airport. The breakfast delicious. The room was very comfortable with a heater and hot water. the internet worked very well.
I am in my honeymoon, and I have visited many cities. Riad Dar Achaach is the best place I have ever been in Morocco. Everything was great; room, reception, staff, place owner, food, location, price…etc. I cannot expect better than this
Great service from the staff. The hotel is super clean and new. The accessibility is excellent and the whole experience worth to try. I’ll definitely stay there again whenever I have the chance to visit the beautiful city of Tétouan.
The hotel was 20 minutes from Tetouan airport, we booked a shuttle which came no problems.
The rooms were very clean and the staff were all happy and couldn't do another for us. We were a group of 6 and really enjoyed our stay.
I loved the location and especially the view from the rooftop at night it's fascinating, the room is good and the hotel is very clean.
The staff were very welcoming and extremely helpful to us, big thanks to Dina and Redouane.
