It is port city. Not touristic. Bad moment - was no beach near and everywhere in cafes and restaurants no wifi internet. no printed paper menu, it is needed to be scan by QR code with special application in mobile phone which need internet connection. Why no wifi? When in all other cities in Spain this option is available.

It's a very interesting and nice city.
It's a very interesting and nice city. People are very kind and pleasant. There are not as many tourists as in the south of the island. Living in a local neighborhood outside the center was very nice to interact with local people. There are many pleasant cafes and restaurants. There is also a great urban transport system of trams and buses. It is also a beautifully green city with many parks.

We have only ever visited during carnival which is extremely full-on everyday, so don't expect to feel rested after a holiday during that period. But do expect to feel exhilarated by the noise, music, costumes, fancy dress and joy.
I think it would be a lovely place to stay outside of carnival as a city break in dependable warm weather.
Its an easy bus trip to Playa de las Teresitas, and there are many efficient bus routes to other regions of the island. If you wanted to go off the beaten track car hire would be useful. Few if any organised trips start from Santa Cruz, for example, trips Mount Tiede tend to originate from the southern resorts.
Much of the centre is pedestrianised. Its a city for locals so don't expect all menus to be translated. Food orientated towards local taste also, which is excellent IMO.
Lots of good shops in the centre.
No great permanent cultural highlights, although I understand the Tenerife Orchestra is one of the best in Spain.

they check you in very early - 12:30 :) the hotel is located in a very quiet street, very clean room, all you need in the bathroom that is very clean too. nice reception service, parking for free in the streets nearby, there is a bar/cafe next door where you can grab a good breakfast for under 5euro (or beer/wine later on during the day), good-sized balcony compensates for not the greatest size of the room. bakeries nearby. 15mins of walking and you are in the centre of Santa Cruz.
The hotel was centrally situated to the centre of Santa Cruz. First impressions were first class, lovely reception and bar area on the ground floor. Check in was spot on and received a complimentary room upgrade. Room was spacious and a good quality of furnishings in an Art Deco style, shower was amazing. Rooftop bar was an added bonus that gets very busy on a weekend, nice area to chill out at the end of the night.
And a welcome return to Principe Paz, simply a great centrally located hotel in the centre of Santa Cruz. Staff are helpful and friendly. Hotel is modern and my room was a good size with nice facilities. I will come back here for sure, it does everything you need for a city stay. They also provided a picnic bag as I had to miss breakfast. The picnic was more than enough.
The hotel is located in the perfect area of Santa Cruz. Nearby the main bus station (Intercambiador), from where you can explore the rest of an island if you are not renting a car. Rooms are actually pretty comfy, spacious and with lots of lightning. Breakfast was decent, with lots of selection of both - sweet and salty stuff, absolutely loved their pastries!
The staff were friendly and attentive, the breakfast was fresh from a nearby bakery and the option was available from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM each day. The room is equivalent to a loft style residence. Most of the areas in the central area of the city can be reached on foot from the hotel, also nearby two main bus stops at the pier and Plaza de Espana.
Hotel in an excellent position. Santa Cruz lovely city. Lovely parks, good shopping, great selection of cafes, bars and restaurants. Good walking.
Hotel staff very helpful and friendly. Good size room. Comfortable bed. Good bathroom. Great view over the pool. Good terrace area for food, drinks etc. Great pool. Good to be able to access the gym.
This hotel is in a fabulous location to get around central Santa Cruz. The room was very clean, comfortable and the Standard room is reasonable in size. Perfect for a long weekend. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely stay again. Many thanks all.
The hotel crew were very nice and welcoming, helped with everything I needed and did their best to make my stay as pleasent as possible, location is in the heart of Santa Cruz if I was planning to stay again in the north of Tenerife this is the place I would choose
An opportunity to visit many interesting places without necessity to come back to hotel every night.
Nice design inside the caravan: blue curtains, blue sitting place. Mirror, enough dishes, gas and fridge. A lot of USB chargers inside. Good lightening inside.
Very convenient location near the indoor market and other city attractions. Staff very welcoming and clean, comfortable room. For the night of the Carnival Parade, rates were obviously higher but still moderate compared to similar hotels in the area.
The nice hostel in the heart of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. I’ve been here only one day, however, I can say that here are very friendly, easy-going people, cool staff and highly recommend this place for solo-travelers. I met here many new friends.
Room was very warm ,no air conditioning, the mini refrigerator barely worked, it was stifling and woke up every night after a couple of hours sleep, it was a nonsmoking hotel but that was not implemented at all.
We were redirect to a sister hotel, Adonis Plaza, as this one was closed at the time.
The hotel is right in the centre of Santa Cruz, so is easy to get around the city.
Hotel is very clean and comfortable.
Beautiful house in a very nice old part of Santa Cruz. Obviously not super quiet, if you want that in the middle of a city get some hotel with triple windows. Quite spectacular roof for all the guest.
The hotel was incredible. The suite exceeded our expectations with the utmost attention to details. Our host was amazing!!! So helpful and great restaurant recommendations!
I had been in that hotel before and it had not been renovated, now it is perfect and the rooms have been renovated, the Wi-Fi connection is great, I liked everything
