The hotel's central location is excellent, all tourist...
The hotel's central location is excellent, all tourist attractions can be seen on foot. I appreciate the cleanliness of the room and the kindness of the staff.
However, I cannot but mention the poverty of the monotonous breakfast, every day the same two slices of bread, a croissant, some transparent slices of cheese and a box of butter. I can say that I have never met such an anemic breakfast in any other hotel in Europe.
I also didn't like the fact that you had to sit at the table and wait to be served with the portion by a lady a bit overwhelmed by the situation.
Maybe it wouldn't hurt to have a kettle and some tea in the rooms for cool days like the ones we had.
Honestly, the high price I paid was more reflected in the location of the hotel than in its facilities.

Madrid is a great walking city full of art, parks, monuments, history with lots of fun bars and great restaurants. Everywhere we went we had great experiences. An easy to navigate metro system which also linked into inter city rail travel is a bonus. We felt safe at all times. Love the different places and the smaller calles that spread off them.

A fab place if you like art.
A fab place if you like art.
Madrid should be an example for all European cities: the Prado and Reina Sofia museums offer daily free visits in late afternoon. What a smart way to attract people who do not initially have art as their main focus.

Beautiful and monumental urban architecture (this applies to all buildings: 'ordinary' tenement houses, as well as state and historic buildings). The city is very well connected (many metro and bus lines). Lots of local bars, restaurants and cafes, but you must be aware that most are closed between 5pm and 8pm.
NOTE: when reaching the airport by metro, you must know that you will have to pay an additional 3 EUR/person to enter the airport (this information is hard to find anywhere and usually surprises everyone on the spot).

Madrid is a great city with lots of interesting architecture...
Madrid is a great city with lots of interesting architecture and museums within walking distance of the city centre hotels. There is plenty to do during the day and lovely vibrant restaurants and nightlife.
The room was large. Beds were very large and comfortable. The kitchenette was great for light food prep. Very clean hotel. The adjoining park was lovely. We would sit there in the morning and drink our coffee. The location could not be beat. You could go anywhere with the metro very close. Quiet neighborhood but shopping was also within walking distance. Overall a very good hotel. Oh and the best parking experience we have had in Spain. Parking is at the property, it is spacious and easy access.
All the staff at the hotel were very nice and friendly , the gentleman who checked us in also gave us some recommendations of good Spanish restaurants nearby, sadly I forgot to get his name. The bar is very nice & so is the swimming pool. The hotel is 2 minutes walk away from the Metro which takes you into Madrid city centre and there are many restaurants and cafes within walking distance. We parked in their underground carpark which was secure and reasonably priced.
Friendly staff with excellent check-in. Hotel is smack in the middle of Spain and close to everything a tourist would want or need for a stay in Madrid.
We had a room in the back on our first visit which although had no views, it was roomy and comfortable. When we returned a few weeks later, they upgraded us to a room in the front with a view. The front view room was a bit smaller but nice anyway.
It’s a good mid sized hotel and breakfast was pretty crowded.
pros: this is one of the cleanest hotel rooms i've ever stayed in! everything was shining bright, white, not even a dirty spot in the toilet. I'm so happy with my decision to stay here. location is perfect, near Gran Via/Callou metro station, which means it's near the shopping district. I went around Spain and came back here again for one night before continuing the journey to Germany. whenever I'm back in Madrid I'll stay here again!
The hotel is located at the business district of Madrid, 5 minutes walking distance from Chamartin central train and subway station, very convenient not only to commute to the city centre but also to visit nearby cities. The room was spacious enough with nice furniture and quiet. The breakfast, althougt it costed 25€, was very satisfying offering a big variety. The staff were friendly and helpful.
We decided to up our budget for our 3 night stay in Madrid and we weren’t disappointed with The Mint. From the moment we arrived Christina was our savior taking the time to give us ideas and tips for our first time visit. After several apartments in Spain with no contact with staff, this was wonderful. The hotel is a place to chill right from the lobby to the crafted cocktails on the roof.
The location was ideal. A short walk to the Metro, bus stops and regional train service. It's also near a beautiful park and square, which filled with people on the evening paseo. The customer service was also exceptional - the best we experienced in our two week stay in Spain. Very responsive and the 24-hour desk was always staffed. Cannot recommend this hotel / apartments enough.
Very near shops, restaurants, etc. Many landmarks are walkable from the hotel. Rooms and toilets were clean and beds comfortable. I’m glad that we included daily breakfasts in our booking since things start a little later here in Spain. Breakfast was ample. Staff were kind and helpful. Hotel is eco-friendly. Taxi service from and to the airport is easy to get and rate is fixed.
Is my second stay on this hotel. I choose it cause is free transfer from airport, they're attentive to customers having a fast reply and caring for you.
The location is very near airport and 40 min by metro to city center of Madrid.
Breakfast is also nice, small but enough. If you have overnight for a trip i think this hotel suits very well and the worth for money is super
Best location in Madrid. However, the hotel is beginning to feel a little 'tired'. Friends stayed in a cheaper city centre hotel that was cheaper and had a roof-top bar and swimming pool! If you want an authentic Spanish experience in the heart of old Madrid then stay here. For comfort and value for money look elsewhere.
Good location in the city centre. Private room with bathroom was a good size and we got a little terrace. We got it at a very good price comparing to other hotels in Madrid. Plenty restuarants all around. Close to the metro. They have a little bar downstairs with 2 for 1 drinks if you are a guest and show them your key.
Everyone was helpful, did their best to answer all concerns, very friendly and professional. I recommend this hotel very highly to everyone who's traveling to Madrid, Spain. Our thanks to Dionie, Rafael and Celia at the front desk and the housekeeping ladies, estamos muy agradecidos a ustedes, hasta Pronto
Hotel was in a great location, being a short walk from Gran Via metro station, with easy connections to the airport. Room was nice and cool. Shower was decent, everything worked fine. Lovely, welcoming staff too, and decent value for the centre of Madrid.
very nice beddings m rooms are cosy and clean.
all the necessary confort is there.
the hotel is perfectly located in the city centre of Madrid. within a walking distance to everything.
The Hotel is very good with excellent location in the Puerta del sol which is the city center and about few steps from Gran via which is the most popular shopping street in Madrid
it is the perfect hotel for staying in Madrid city centre. Great location and comfortable room. I particularly liked the terrace for smoking as I hate standing out on the street.
