My main objective was visiting Alhambra Palace, and that was wonderful, even in the rain. Bus system was good, older areas were fairly easy to walk around and navigate, even for me with older legs!
A lovely town to sit and enjoy a coffee, tapas, and watch the world go by, with many outdoor eating places. And it's the home of flamenco, something else to enjoy.
Language was not an issue for me, an English speaker with limited Spanish.

Granda is a great place to visit.
Granda is a great place to visit.
I recommend Alhambra but you need to buy tickets way in advance.
Walk around the city - the parks are wonderful, they have good brunches. In general the city vibe is good. Try a free walking tour.
Avoid the Arab district - we got scammed with candies at a local shop - too late we checked the reviews in Google Maps, seems like its a practice for that district.

Granada was best out of three - Cordoba next and then Seville. This is based on architecture and history. City Seville is good but if I want to go to one only , it will be Granada. Alcazar, Gardens and palaces great treasures but book early as sometimes no places as we heard from others. Take a guide. We enjoyed our stay at:
El Ladrón De Agua Palacete
Great hotel, location and staff. We got free upgrade, welcome fruit basket ( no charge) and late checkout without extycharge. Very flexible. Place is spotless, with top of features and furnishings.
Highly recommended. Pricy though but worth paying!

Al Hambra is a must.
Al Hambra is a must. Also, a walk suggested by Granada Tourism, starting at Mirador San Nicolas, walking thru the Albaicin, Placeta de San Miguel and the flea markets, ending in Bib-Rambla Plaza behind the cathedral. We walked up to the starting point from Gran Via but it was a very steep climb. You can catch bus C32 from near Gran Via up to the starting point.

Granada is beautiful. The Alhambra is a must!
Granada is beautiful. The Alhambra is a must! The Sacromonte cave museum was an interesting find and Albaicín is lovely.
Prices of food, taxis and experiences were reasonable. Food was great for vegetarians, Muslims and coeliacs. Most places open late (including Burger King and McDonald open at 10-11am)but there are a few cafes open at 08:00. Everyone was friendly and kind.
It is a bit difficult to get to from the UK so we caught a coach from Malaga. The queues for passport control are long due to Brexit so if you do this, leave more than an hour after arrival to get to the bus stop on-site of the airport. I left 1 hour and missed our coach by 8 minutes but the kind driver allowed us to get on the next coach without an additional charge.
Granada is very hilly so not buggy/wheelchair friendly. A great holiday for adults but I’m not sure kids would appreciate it.
Easy to get around on buses/trams or taxis.
The historical and architectural elements were stunning! The views from all parts of the hotel were stunning! The rooms and beds were comfortable (except for the pillows!!). Every worker was helpful, gracious, and attentive
. The restaurant food was delicious and varied. Wonderful service. Great location for visiting the Alhambra- just a short walk through a park- or to visit the historic Albracin area also a short walk away. The highlight of our hotel stays in Spain!
What a charming hotel situated halfway up the hill to the Alhambra. We loved everything about it. The room was clean and comfortable with a lovely view out on to the street below. The tea and cake in the foyer on an afternoon was lovely. The best bit though was the roof top restaurant with views up to the Alhambra and over the town of Granada - utterly charming! The staff were helpful and the hotel was a welcome oasis after a busy day of sightseeing.
I can’t compliment this hotel enough. I travelled alone as I was visiting my daughter at the university of Granada. I felt very secure and safe, my room was huge and spotlessly clean. The bed was so very comfortable, I wish I could have transported it home!!
The bar/restaurant served lovely food at good prices. The staff worked so hard to accommodate everyone. Daniel was particularly lovely. I had the best time. Thank you x
I was lucky to have room 616 which had a large terrace table and umbrella. i was able to have my byo drinks and coffee there every morning before going to the hotels partner cafe for a typical spainish/granada breakfast. The hotel is close to everything Granada has to offer. Super quiet and clean and comfortable. Note there is no fridge or kettle etc as it is a typical basic but smart Spainish hotel.Loved it!
Fantastic location to this boutique hotel, easy walking distance to all the restaurants, bars and sights in Granada. A very good room size with small balcony to look out from. Exceptional look to the hotel itself, traditional Moorish build. Considering it is reasonably near a busy tourist area the sound proofing is amazing, didnt hear a thing!
I'm a repeat guest in this small but friendly hotel. The staff are always the best. Location is perfect. In the ground floor there's a small restaurant that serves killer Argentine meals. I will continue to use this little hotel in my future trips to Granada. I feel at home.
The girl at the reception was a real charmer, thanks to her we were able to visit the best places in Granada. The apartment is very central, close to everything and with a carrefour just a few steps away. If someday we come back to Spain, we will repeat without hesitation!
The rooms are exquisite and the staff fabulous. They helped us with the car park, took care of our bags and offered us refreshing champagne! This was the best hotel we stayed in all of our journey through Spain. I would stay here again! oh how I loved the staff!!!!!
best location, kitchen/laundry-room/gym-room/seminar-rooms...this hotel really offers a lot!
I was super happy with my room, it was a nice mix of traditional granada-house and modern/clean/new!
The staff is very professional and friendly!
It's my second time visiting Granada. Also the hotel. Glad that I stay here again. Great location, cozy atmosphere and the amazing owner is doing his best for the guests. I will be back again if I'm visiting here for the 3rd time.
The location of the property is clearly privileged. It enjoys one of the best views of Granada and the architecture and climate that you breathe inside the hotel seems to take you back to the time of the sultans ….
this was the most beautiful hotel we’ve ever stayed it. the best view of the Alhambra in all of Granada! the photos don’t do it justice. just stunning, very clean and beautiful staff. Great proximity to everything.
The hotel was lovely, well maintained, and the views throughout captured the city center from high up on the hillside. The location was less than 10 min walk to Lahambra, a must visit for Granada.
Amazing location, Joaquin was very nice and always available. So far m8y best place in Spain that I reserved, I invite all of you to stay in his beautiful place you will not be disappointed.
Beautiful boutique hotel right in front of the cathedral. Right in the heart of the city center. Rooms were airy, bright and big for Spain. The staff was magnificent. a great choice!
it was beautifully decorated, we felt we were in Spain. Also, the patio on the roof was awesome to simply sit and chill. The bed above the kitchen was also kid’s favorite.
This property was beautiful and the location was exceptional. We absolutely loved Granada and this property was by far the best we have stayed in on our Holiday in Spain.
