The location, room and facilities were all excellent.
The location, room and facilities were all excellent. The premises were very spacious and very clean. Fresh milk was provided in fridges for tea making. The breakfast was lovely and cooked in front of us which was a nice touch. The premises are located in an ideal location for travelling to Fakenham, Wells-next-the-sea, Holt, Sheringham and Cromer.

Wighton is a tiny village near Wells next the Sea.
Wighton is a tiny village near Wells next the Sea. It has a magnificent medieval church and lovely old buildings for those interested, and walks around the area. A short drive takes you to Walsingham with its religious shrines. The Abbey Gardens are worth a visit, especially enjoyed the court room. Convenient for Holkham Hall, Wells, Blakeney Point for the seal boats, Cley next the Sea for bird watching and a cute little train ride across the fields from Wells to Walsingham. From Holt you can get a full size preserved steam train ride to Sheringham, an interesting old fishing port. I absolutely love this area.

Welcoming guest house with extra touches such as cake upon arrival. There is a fantastic hot tub for guests use, overlooking surrounding fields. The breakfast was excellent, freshly prepared within the kitchen/ diner.
Great pub food served next door at The Carpenters Arms.
A quiet village well positioned to explore the local coast.

Lovely quiet little village located perfectly for touring the area. Would be interesting to learn more about the history of Wighton as several of the old properties now coverted to living accommodation are still identifiable as the village school or shops. Understand that the village chapel currently being converted to heritage centre.

It was a lovely quiet village set in stunning surroundings.
It was a lovely quiet village set in stunning surroundings. Driving through lots of narrow country lanes was essential to get anywhere but we didn’t mind this- traffic was very quiet.
It’s a great central base to get to nearby towns and villages, just a short drive away. The Carpenter’s Arms is a lovely local pub that welcomes dogs and, whilst not the cheapest, isn’t too expensive. The staff and food were lovely.
Would definitely stay there again or recommend to others.
