I stayed in ‘Kelling’ - the bed was very comfortable and the room itself was cozy. I really liked the garden terrace and also that it was quiet throughout the night. Lovely hot shower, towels, tv and tea and coffee along with biscuits provided for. Loved the quirky feel of the room. Unfortunately I couldn’t stay for breakfast but it was nice they take your order the night before should you want breakfast - you know what you’re getting. The host offered cereals and yogurts that could be left out in the morning as I needed to set of way before breakfast start time. I’m going to book this room again in the summer and stay longer this time!

A Warm and comfortable house within walking distance of Sheringham and main town centre shops. House was in good order however the toilet seat needed properly fixing and the kitchen was in need of a refurbishment.

The cafe at the nearby Lighthouse Baptist Church was a great place for lunch and the Little Theatre had an excellent programme. Shops and public library very good places to visit. Easy to get around one way system by car and plenty of disabled parking spaces.

We were there for a specific event, but found Sheringham...
We were there for a specific event, but found Sheringham itself a bit of a let down. Maybe because it was April and out of season? but everything seem to close at 4pm and then practically completely shut down by 8pm! AND THIS IS ON A SATURDAY! There was only one proper takeaway fish and chip bar (2 others were closed down) and this one had a queue the length of the entire road! Even the restaurants were closed by 8! After that the only things that were still open were amusements and ice cream bars, of which I counted at least 4! within feet of each other! Where does everyone go?

A great base for a North Norfolk short stay.
A great base for a North Norfolk short stay. We find that Sheringham is mainly day trippers so becomes quiet come early evening, not as crowded as other spots with a handful of good eateries. Access to Cromer via the beach walk or cliff top walk or bus or train if not feeling energetic. Holt via the steam train is a great day trip from here. A lot of country parks/national trust properties within half hour drive. Don't miss whelks copper tea rooms overlooking the pebble beach end of the beach and Stubbys pizza is also great.sueUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10
Sheringham is a small town but with everything you need.
Sheringham is a small town but with everything you need. We visited to go to the Theatre but stayed an extra night. We found a great pizza house (fully booked but we had a takeaway) It was delicious. (Benny’s) Fish and chips the next day, Pia’s. Such fresh fish and excellent chips. Cooked in veg oil 👍🏼

I like Sheringham, but only visited twice in Winter (for Thursford Show). I think it would be lovely in Summer. It is an old fashioned seaside resort , but unlike many others, has thrived and not deteriorated. Many individual shops and a few nice pubs and coffee places.

On street parking, close to the property proved to be relatively easy but I'm not sure this would be the case in high season. The rear garden was secure and a great area for sitting when the weather is warm enough. Sheringham is a friendly small town and offers great customer service in all shops, pubs and the Heritage Railway.

The Ramey is in an excellent location, on a quiet residential road, with off street parking and only a short walk from the seafront and local shops/restaurants. Served as a good base to explore North Norfolk. The apartment itself was clean, modern, spacious and well stocked with all necessary amenities. Lovely peaceful garden terrace (apartment 2, ground floor) where we could sit with a coffee and watch the world go by. Location was convenient for a very short walk into town or the beach etc. Also, Sheringham itself lies near other beaches and several interesting places to visit, such as Holkham Hall, the ancestral home of "Coke of Norfolk" , the great agricultural pioneer. We used Sheringham as a base and The Crow’s Nest offered us “space” and the opportunity to sit and relax at the end of the days walk. The apartment had been recently decorated in a contemporary style and was clean and comfortable, and there was a fully fitted kitchen for anyone who wanted to self cater. The bathroom was spacious with a good shower and nice toiletries. The bed was very comfortable.

The staff and volunteers are lovely, and very welcoming. A credit to preserved railways, the carriages are clean, freshly painted and varnished inside, the exteriors of their rolling stock also excellent, we were really impressed. Knowlegable and enthusiastic a must to visit, a credit to the town!

Also very happy with the location - right next to the old priory and maze and priory gardens - and just a walk away from the town and seafront. We loved Sheringham and had great weather throughout.
