A nice hotel in a lovely location - the view from the window was absolutely stunning! Also very quiet with a nice garden so great if you like walking and want to relax.

The breakfast was simple but still very tasty. I did wish it was available till 11 or 12 though, rather than 10

We had a lovely break. Heather, Alison (and her mum) were so friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. We’ve not been anywhere we felt so comfortable taking our dog. He will be back for his breakfast sausage! In a nice quiet area, slept like logs on the comfortable bed and breakfast was lovely. Short walk to the harbour and if you’re feeling a bit lazy for the walk back, the taxis will take dogs! Highly recommended!

It was clean, quiet, airy, with comfortable beds, excellent recycling. Everything was clearly explained in signs, good for neurodivergent people.

A family-run hotel set in the seaside resort of Ilfracombe, Palm Court B&B is a 3-minute walk sea front and shops and just a 1-minute walk from Tunnels Beaches.
The hosts were lovely and the breakfasts were superb
Great fish and chip and ice cream shop. Lovely walk up to the hill with fabulous views.
Sadly, lots of shops closed or closed early. Need more interesting shops in the high st. The Nest, florist, chocolate emporium were definitely the best.

Being tucked away on the North Devon coast, Ilfracombe is not nearly as crowded as its southern & Cornish neighbours, but is nonetheless a delightful location which we visit very often & always enjoy being there.

Ilfracombe is a lovely place to visit, however please be aware how hilly it is. Walking down to harbour is easy but the return journey can be a bit of a slog.
Had gluten free fish and chips from Lynbay fish and chip shop.
Gluten free cream tea from St James tea garden.
Wasn't overly impressed with the beach as it mainly slate pebbles, but Woolacombe is not far away with golden sands.

Many part of this town including its HIGH STREET are looking terribly run down and rough. So too some pubs ...
I'm sure it will perk up in higher season but money needs to be spent on its appearance .
The streets felt as safe as most places in Britain and some Bistros and cafes were delightful. Roads are narrow and some extremely vertiginous . Parking can be an issue in high season I guess.

Ilfracombe is worth a visit and is probably better in the summer than when we visited. We preferred Woolacombe and Puttsborough beach is great for surfing. We walked around Baggy Point and saw some amazing views. Well worth a visit.

There were some really lovely parts of Ilfracombe and some not so nice , like most towns . Most of the architecture is stunning with old and new together but some new don't fit in. The scenery on the coast is amazing with lots of craggy coves and you can walk along the South West Coast Path . There is a small harbour where a stunning Damien Hirst statue is of Verity ,Statue of Justice if I remember correctly Parts of Ilfracombe are quite steep but there are slopes and some roads on the flat. We ate Sunday lunch at the Thatched Inn , had Breakfast at the Lime Kiln Cafe down by a cove . We loved it.
The apartment is good-sized and clean. The owner has provided all the expected mod-cons alongside some nice extras such as board games, DVDs and books. There are some lovely views out towards the sea, hills and coastline. It's a short walk downhill towards the charming harbour and beach area with plenty of eateries and attractions to fill a day. Head in the other direction, towards the town centre, for supermarkets and convenience stores.
Overall a pleasant stay in Ilfracombe, which is a great base from which to explore North Devon.
We stayed at The Devonian for four nights last week. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to check we had everything we needed. The breakfasts were delicious with a great choice. The great attention to detail and cleanliness throughout the property was amazing. We stayed in The Pullman Green Room which overlooked the gorgeous gardens. Free parking on site. Walking distance of Ilfracombe harbour and the shops and restaurants. Would definitely recommend and definitely stay again if visiting Ilfracombe.
This B&B is quite close to the Ilfracombe Harbour and centre (roughly 20 minutes walk and less than 5 minutes drive) the area is quite green and it is a very quiet place to stay at. It's quite close to a lot of the places we planned on visiting.
Room facilities were quite alright, selection of teas, coffee, hot chocolate and complimentary mini chocolates, fridge with still water and milk. Shampoo, shower gel and soap provided and a hairdryer.
Cute seating area by the window, perfect to read a book
The drive there was wild, wet and windy. It was quite late and dark. Eventually I found myself driving really slowly down windy narrow lanes into Ilfracombe. The postcode took me directly too a very convenient car park. The hotel had a nice bar with Doom Bar on tap. The room was just right. I had to leave early for my work in Barnstaple so missed breakfast. Luckily there was a Wetherspoons in Barnstaple to the rescue. I think I will book in again for a quiet few days soon.
The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. I ordered the kippers and they were superb. All the staff were friendly and went out of their way to please and nothing was too much trouble. The location was good and within walking distance of the harbour and town of Ilfracombe. Our room had a lovely sea view was very comfortable. We had a relaxing break and hope to return.
Great location for visiting Ilfracombe and north devon in general. Heather was a lovely host welcoming and friendly. The room was comfortable clean and tidy. The ensuite had a good shower and was a decent size. Parking was limited but free on the drive way. Really liked the garden area which offered an alternative to sitting in our room.
We had such a wonderful stay at Laston House.
Everyone was so friendly the house was lovely as was the room.
Great breakfast,
The location was perfect within walking distance to town and harbour and a good base for
exploring north Devon.
We were sad to leave wish we had booked a longer stay.
Will definately be returning.
The hotel is in a brilliant location -- great base for exploring North Devon. It's close to a large car park, small beach, harbour, shops, bus stop, visitor's centre, theatre, high street and places to eat. A very pretty Victorian town. Pleasant Reception area at the hotel and a comfortable public lounge with Wi-Fi access.
breakfast briliant one of the best b&b breakfasts i've had room lovely and clean host very polite but down to earth and nothing seemed to be a trouble to her we could,nt of asked for more we were on the boundry to ilfracombe a great spot to visit nearby city's in north devon if you drive
Hotel was very clean, tastefully decorated and staff very friendly and efficient.
Booked b&b however of our 4 nights stay ate "in" on two nights as the food was so good.
Five minutes walk from High Street and main places of interest in Ilfracombe so good location.
The property was exceptionally clean which made us feel very relaxed. The sea view from the front room was amazing and unique for the town. It was close to the local shops. Hosts were really friendly and welcoming. Quiet at night, slept very well.
the location is excellent ,, fabulous views from our accommodation , staff were always happy to help in answering questions or recommending places to visit ,there’s a coastal path which takes you over to ilfracombe harbour , Hot tub lovely also .
We had a lovely stay in this really spacious, well equipped flat. Everything was thought of and the location was very convenient close to the harbour.
Would definitely stay again.
