The bar is beautiful, the food was amazing, the breaking choices were great. The room was lovely with robes and the pool and gym were great. Received drinks voucher for my friends birthday with a card. The location is amazing with beautiful views.

This lovely old hotel is in much need of refurbishment but its faded grandeur lends itself to the pleasant dog friendly relaxed and warm atmosphere. The views remain stunning the bed was comfortable the food excellent and the staff unfailingly helpful smiley and courteous

Location is good, lovely sea views and room over looked the garden. I was there as we were getting married locally, we had the lovely surprise of a bottle of fizz on return to the room (we had not told the hotel but the photographer was a big clue). Staff were really friendly and helpful trying to get the bridesmaid dresses steamed.
Breakfast was tasty and there was plenty of choice and if you wanted to swap something out it was no issue.
We were in room 4 which was on the first floor, great as my husband is waiting for knee surgery and could cope with one flight of stairs, my parents and bridesmaids were up a lot further so if you have mobility issues contact the hotel for room advice.

Falmouth is a hilly town but has lots to offer for all age groups if you can walk up hills. The town is like most other towns with many empty shops sadly but there are still lots of shops and independent shops. The art gallery was a bit disappointing although the building it was in is beautiful. The Museum is good value for money and you can return any time within the year once you have paid entrance fee. Falmouth is very close to lots of other nice places in Cornwall. You can easily walk from the train station into town. I ate at Verdant Tapas bar and another Tapas bar outside of town, you cannot pre book at Verdants. The town is a bit tatty in places but it adds to its character! Lots of places to eat to cater for all peoples tastes!

I love having a variety of safe sandy swimming beaches with calm waters ideal for paddleboarding, kayak exploration. Great range of places to eat, lots of options for vegans. Always some type of live music on somewhere. Good vibe to the town. Ideal location to explore the surrounding area by foot. A must visit is the Wilder Kitchen, such a gem serving delicious Thali. Also Castle beach cafe for takeaway breakfast or lunch and Ciuri Ciuri for the best italian Gelato (always great vegan choices too)

We loved falmouth and are looking forward to visiting in the spring. Great independent shops with loads of places to eat and drink.
Gilly beach was fab and the restaurant was great
Well be sure to visit again
Great Location, right at the seafront, only a few minutes to the centre of Falmouth. Electric charging available at no extra cost, which was a real benefit! My first room (single) had issues with the shower, so I was moved to a slightly bigger room the next day without any problems, that was really great. The staff is so attentive and welcoming. Check- in was not impersonal at the desk but they take you to the bar and offer a glass of prosecco, which was so nice after a long drive
It was my second stay at Poltair and was just as enjoyable as the previous one. This place is a gem: comfortable beds, large room with a lovely view and a little balcony. This is a small guest house and the owners take very good care of the place and their guests. The staff are all lovely. There are many little extra touches too, such as a little bottle of wine and chocolate in the room on arrival. I will definitely choose them again when I am next in Falmouth.
When booking long distance and not knowing the area, you never know what you might get. The hotel was so welcoming, even with a small dog.....absolutely immaculate, fresh, the view was priceless and the food and service absolutely top class. So very, very impressed and would highly recommend and only a short drive into Falmouth past the most gorgeous little beaches. A very tranquil place to stay.....not one for the party goers who want to be right in the town.
The hotel room itself was clean. We didn't use the kitchen but when we poked our head in it looked clean. The price was good for Falmouth. The room was spacious and had what we needed for a short stay. The door codes were helpful as we didn't need to bring an actual door key around with us. The car park was up a steep angle for our poor little car, but it was good that there were spaces. The bathroom was small but nice.
I've stayed here before so the fact that I came back tells you everything. The rooms are comfy and very clean and even a little chic in some respects. The staff are all really friendly and helpful and the breakfasts are excellent. Location is perfect, at the quiet end of town but still only a few minutes walk from the main drag. Also, if you're really lucky you get greeted by Teddy the hotel poodle upon arrival.
Short staffed over NYE but that didn't impact on the fantastic service we received. Wonderful hotel and amazing spa. Big thanks to the resort director who saved our NYE dinner at The Cove after missing our taxi and him offering to drive us there! What more can I say other than I can't wait to return to this little piece of tranquility in the beautiful town of Falmouth!
Very nice and cosy hotel in Falmouth. The property is historical and old, but facilities have been nicely renovated and modernized while yet maintaining the historical elements and feelings of the property. Nice long area with fireplace, and beautiful view from parts of dining area.
The location of the hotel is great ,also the staff and breakfast was great.
We have been staying here for the last five years and return later in the season as enjoy it so much.
Havent yet found another hotel in Falmouth that offers the same value .
This hotel offered a truly serene and secluded escape. Its perfect location, nestled far away with its own garden/forest and proximity to the beach, made it an ideal choice for a peaceful and quiet getaway. I thoroughly enjoyed the tranquil ambiance.
We liked absolutely everything about this hotel.

A great hotel in an fantastic location and within 5-10 mis walk into Falmouth. I had a really spacious room with an out look
towards the sea. Breakfast was first class and really tasty. All staff very good.
Very friendly owners. Everything very clean and COVID aware. Breakfast was tasty and served by Karen who was a great asset. It was a pleasant 10 min walk into Falmouth or an even shorter walk to the beach.
Great location within walking distance of Falmouth and on the river. Very comfortable room. Hotel is abit old fashioned and traditional but comfortable bed which is the main thing, so a good nights sleep!
