Big chess pieces are in the garden, a swimming pool used mainly by us only, and a nearby beach to watch the sunset. There is a wide parking area. The place is a 15-minute ride to Vigan City, so they did not mind us buying "pasalubong" and leaving them inside the room. The restaurant on the third floor has a fantastic view of the beach and the sea.

Close to the city and historical Road. Great staff, very friendly and helpful. We were asked to upgrade our room for 1000 pesos so we got a king size bed and balcony. Worth it. Clean room and bathroom. Got our breakfast delivered to our room and enjoyed it on the balcony.

I like Vigan for it's old world appeal especially at the very popular Calle Crisologo. I also like the friendliness of the people, the amazing plazas and the choices of restaurants available. Vigan has its own very unique charm and despite not being as modern as some of the more developed cities in the Philippines, it is just as, if not more interesting. This is definitely a place I would like to visit again.

Beautiful and historic. Very friendly people. Getting around is fairly easy. We took the Kalesa to tour the city. Really need to plan where to eat at early since most places close early enough. 1995 Studio Cafe is a great place for tea, coffee, smoothie and some food.

Calle Crisologo itself is beautiful and a great spot to take pictures especially at night, but beyond it there's not much to see and do. A one-day visit is enough, IMHO, as there are many more things to see and do around Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte.

Vigan is a lovely city with old world charm.
Vigan is a lovely city with old world charm. Uncharacteristically it is not crowded unlike much of the Philippines. The beaches are good, the old city is fun to explore and its one of the few places in Philippines where I wasn't stressed driving as there is little traffic, and so easy to get around. One of the cleanest places I have seen. Vigan take pride in their streets and surroundings and don't litter.

Great food, a lot of attractions within walking distance of each other, Calle Crisologo and the Cathedral are always a great idea, especially at night.
Must try eats: Irene's Vigan Empanada, Cafe Bigaa, Cafe Leona, Calle Brewery
Pasalubong: Irma's Longganisa and Bagnet, Tongson's Bibingka, Senorita Dulce
A perfect location for tourists in historical Vigan. Everything is in walking distance. There's an ATM, convenience store and plenty of horse and buggies just outside.
The Hotel is gorgeous, and the helpful, friendly staff maintain the heritage look in and out of the rooms.
The ground floor includes and independent restaurant with good food. The Hotel's own restaurant was closed for renovations when we stayed, so the staff offered breakfast in bed instead!
We had a wonderful stay and were thrilled with having chose this Hotel.
This hotel is in the yard, so it is very quiet. It is a new building, everything is new and in good condition. TV have BBC, CNN and many more English channels. Purified drinking water is supplied. It has a excellent location, less than a 10 min walk to supermarket, bus terminal, and city market place. The world heritage streets and historical city center is also in a walking distance. And more, a good price for budget travelers. After Manila, Baguio and Banaue, Happy Grey Hotel is the best I stayed.
The hotel does not have a kitchen so breakfast comes in a plastic wrapped plate from a nearby facility and is often delivered ahead of your requested time thus is cold when you are ready to eat. To their credit, they knock on your door to say that the meal has arrived. Parking is somewhat limited though they have overflow parking nearby. The room was small but the bed was very comfortable and the hotel is an easy walk to all the main attractions.
The location is in a quiet area of Vigan Mestizo District; a leisurely 5-minute walk to Calle Crisologo. It's also a stone's throw to First Sinanglawan, where I had a nice breakfast of sinanglaw and arroz caldo. The amenities and facilities are quite standard for a boutique hotel, but what I really love is the very big space of the accommodation. The property owner is also very responsive to our needs and is very accommodating.
I will say that this hotel is one of the best hotels we visit during our vacation in the Philippines. They were extremely friendly, especially the supervisor (Sean). The hotel is very decent and functional to the main tourist attractions (walking distance).
It’s very awful that Vigan when thru a natural disaster. I pray that they could be able to regain soon. If they open up for tourists do not hesitate to book in this hotel.
I highly recommend this place for a family.
*room is clean

I like the location of our room, nice view outside the window. Food is nice and room and linen is clean and theres a pool. The resto is very nice.too! Even if its not in vigan city, we enjoyed the place..its only 15 minutes by trike or.shuttle going to.vigan city. Thank.you ovemar! We had a nice time!
Beautiful hotel, nice bedrooms.
Japanese toilet
It has nice museum with stately room inside.
Swimming pool & gym - children had fun while adults could sit with laptops and wifi at the tables next to the swimming.
Very central location - easy for popping outside and getting back.
I like that the hotel is near the beach and have amenities. It’s worth it I really would love to comeback. the fact that the only thing that you will do in Vigan is store do sight seeing being in this hotel you can do a lot away from the busy streets of calle crisologo
Walking distance to Calle Crisologo and city center. Clean, modern interior design throughout hotel and rooms. Love the 'tabo' with tassel accent! Friendly and welcoming staff and security guards. Beds were comfortable and clean. Overall a great and comfortable stay.
The hotel rooms are behind the 1960s residence which is not occupied. This house is charming to bring in guests if renovated. I like the garden adorning the entry, the parking space and the availability of 2 beds in one room.
This hotel was good for the location and price. Although one thing is the elevator on that day was broken and being put to fourth floor room was a bit annoying especially after your long travel and walking around vigan.
The location is very accessible and easy to find. The staff are very accommodating and friendly.
It feels so homey and comfortable.
I will recommend this to my friends and family who will visit Vigan City.
Happy that breakfast was included on the rate.and the food was good :)
The room was clean and comfy
The palce is just 5-7 min.drive within the attractions in Vigan.
