Situated at the heart of Livingstone City Centre, within a historic 19th century colonial building, New Fairmount Hotel blends historical architecture with contemporary interior design.

The hotel has the charm of times gone by.
The structure has what I would call a colonial architecture, in some ways a little old which makes it of a particular charme.
There are different levels of comfort within the hotel and this is an obvious fact.
My stay could be summed up as a two parts' movie.
In the first half I was assigned a room that was, let's say, not perfect, but almost certainly adequate for the price I paid.
After I complained (kindly of course) to the staff, I was immediately given a huge room, full of comforts and at the same starting price.
This allowed me to draw the conclusion that the staff really represents an additional resource and, as far as I'm concerned, it made the difference.
Good dinner at the restaurant.
A club also operates on weekends.

Spectacular view over the Zambezi river with the mist of the falls in the distance. Within a short, safe walk to the falls. Super helpful and friendly staff who are obviously very well trained. Loved the Zebras, Impalas and Giraffe calmly walking around the property. Bed was super comfortable and the room spotless with a stunning view.

The staff are amazing, friendly, courteous and efficient!
Location is great and restaurants, supermarket and many locations are walkable from the lodge.
Location is safe.
Loadshedding was a nuisance but staff did everything they could to assist and reduce discomfort.
Breakfasts are included and sumptuous full English meals!
Fridge in each room. AC in each room- though I did not use it because it was cool weather in May.

The staff were lovely, the location on the edge of the park was perfect, elephants roaming at night, truly atmospheric. Darius, the manager was incredibly helpful and despite our wishes to walk alone, always catered our safety

Livingstone town is a bit raw, but not unsafe. The classic components - Victoria Falls (you really do not need a guide just call a local taxi - avoid a guy called Bison! The park with Rhino tour, sunset tour - we used the African Queen/Princess and it was excellent. More than adequate snacks and unlimited drinks. The crew were exceptional. We ate at our hotel - the Victoria Falls Waterfront as it was so good and great value. Didn’t need to consider anywhere else. Amazing pizzas.

Friendly and safe town. Easy to get around.
Friendly and safe town. Easy to get around. Avoid being ripped off by taxi drivers. The falls are a sight to behold, it was majestic. Zambesi cruise is a to do activity, have dinner in one of the restaurants afterwards. Instead of buying at the town market, take a trip to Mukuni village for affordable souvenirs to take home.

Lovely quaint little town, friendly people and clean.
Lovely quaint little town, friendly people and clean. Mosquitoes weren't too much of an issue. We walked the whole length of the town in one day, enjoying the sights and sounds. Very USD focused though, so plan accordingly.

We booked a tour to Livingstone Island and Devil's Pool through LIFE ON THE EDGE. It was an awesome experience. Highlight of our trip. We paid $120 USD per person. Other tours charge more on viator and get your guide, but this is the only company that runs these tours so do not overpay by going through a middle man. Book directly. We felt safe the entire time. Well worth the money!

Getting around Livingstone was convenient as one can walk...
Getting around Livingstone was convenient as one can walk around the town or easily catch a taxi at an affordable price. There are many different cuisine options, be sure to try the local foods which were quite tasty. The Zambezi river cruise was my personal favorite activity.
Very friendly welcome by Caroline and Kenny.
After a short introduction we were guided to our room which
was a nice comfy room, but as soon as we wanted to unpack,
we heard a knock on the door and our hosts offered us a free upgrade
to a bigger room that was more the luxe.
Also they arranged a great safari for us into Botswana.
We can highly recommend the hotel, plus eat the local nshima at their restaurant!

Staying in the tents gave exceptional value for money as you had all the facilities of a lodge but at a cheaper price (better value, and cheaper, than other places I will not mention). Also, the site was superb by the Zambezi. Just like I imagined it would be except that it was raised about 20ft up from the river's edge by decking. Finally, this was a hub for all the activities that could be done in Livingstone.
The whole experience at the lodge was above expectations! The staff was friendly and helpful, the lodge area and rooms where clean and the food was good in the lodge's restaurant and bar. The lodge can also arrange wide variety of activities such as sunset cruises and safaris with a decent price that start straight at the lodge. These were easy and hazzle-free way to see Livingstone and Victoria Falls area!
I really like how its in a central location in livingstone, yet when you walk through the gates you feel like you are in a little gated jungle and it feels safe and peaceful! And it is super close to different food places and right across the street from an ATM and grocery store. All the staff were so so nice and for the price, you really can't get anything better in livingstone!
Room was very comfortable. The hotel itself is not a new glass and steel structure - it had a lot of charm. Right in the middle of town - many nearby eating, drinking and shopping opportunities. The staff was polite and professional. The price was UNBELIEVEABLE. Truly, I thought the front desk was forgetting something. Five nights, room, board and drinks for $500.
We were warmly greeted by the host, Francois and his capable staff. The Lodge is in a quiet cul-de-sac in the heart of Livingstone convenient to the airport and are able to organize, or arrange for sightseeing events, adventure sports and game viewing.
The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast varied and tasty.
perfect place to stay not far from the main road in livingston. the aircon in the rooms and pool are the perfect way to cool off in the summer. the rooms are humble but after a busy day of safaris in Chobe or exploring Vic Falls (all things you can organise through the hotel) you don’t really mind that.
The property is beautiful with specious rooms and comfortable large beds which gives value for money. Cleanliness is top and beautiful garden
The food were so delicious. Stuff and cleaners were friendly . Next time I go to livingstone I'll consider the facility
The staff were so friendly, helpful and made me feel so welcomed. Whenever I required a taxi they arranged one for me. It is a small resort and peaceful. Hopefully more tourist will travel to Livingstone soon and stay at this resort. Thank you to all the staff.
The hotel is beautiful, with lovely pool, gazebos for all day relaxing, and is right on the banks of the Zambezi River. The Victoria Falls is just a couple of kilometers away. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly.
The staff is really friendly and helpful! The locations is great.
The room is quite old, many things are broken or didn't work. The kitchenette doesn't have enough tools.
The best thing of the hotel is the staff!
Very classy hotel in a wonderful location with outdoor dining beside the Zambezi river and a short walk to Victoria Falls. Very helpful staff, and lots of activities that can be booked through the hotel.
The Victoria Falls Waterfront is a place where us as middle Class tourist can stay it is affordable, the facilities are very clean and well looked after. There is also activities available for tourists.
Overall, this was a lovely hotel and I would stay there again. The location on the river was beautiful, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the food in the restaurants was excellent.
Second stay in this hotel, everything was excellent like the first time. During power shortages in Livingstone hotel was producing its own electicity so we did not feel any discomfort.
The hotel is located in the central, the features of the hotel are beautiful and ambiance is great. The people were very warm, from house keepers to the reception.
