Back in 2019 I stayed at 123 hotel Fukuyama. It was not available this year, so I got this instead. Honestly, I don't regret it. Everything was an upgrade. The room is big, the bed comfortable and the bathroom clean.
I honestly have nothing to gripe about. This booking was a bull's eye.

The view of the castle was amazing. Right next to the station and convenient to shops. We had fantastic okonomiyaki just on the other side of the train station. There is also a small bakery that is worth trying.

This is a great way to experience authentic Japanese accommodation without paying huge prices. And there are enough modern touches to make it very comfortable. The women operating the place are lovely. The products they provide are delightful.

This is a "love hotel", and as such, rents either by the hour or for an overnight stay. Nevertheless, the hotel also functions as a hotel and anyone can stay. The hotel was in very good condition, the room clean and spacious, and on weekdays a simple breakfast is included and there is a simple drink bar on the 1st floor. The price was very competitive with business hotels closer to the Fukuyama station, and the room is roughly twice the business hotel size and much better appointed.
We had the Fukuyama Castle view from our window so we could see the Dino eggs change colors and the light show along the wall and over at the church. A nice seasonal touch. The room was large and the hot water shower/soaking tub was wonderful. There were plenty of outlets for all our chargers.
The hotel is right across the street from the JR Station which has a substantial food court and shopping options.
Homey, clean and cosy. The host was friendly and customer-oriented. Free coffee, green tea (on disposable cups, not shared mugs!), and chocolate sweets up for grabs. This would be my go-to place when I visit Fukuyama again. Within a walking distance from Matsunaga Station (15-20 minutes) and the central pharmacy with a wide range of food and beverages and other products at affordable prices!

Nice & friendly staff, especially one of the female staff member who spoke fluent English. She explained everything clearly & patiently.
Beautiful sea view
Shuttle service from Fukuyama station made access very easy and were well looked after on arrival.
Quiet place and within walking distance there is small town facing sea ports with old houses.
Loved the interior, the super soft tanzen jackets, and how roomy it was compared to other Japanese hotels I've stayed at. Walking distance to everything: the castle (could see part of it from my window), the station, the mall around the station... Absolutely loved my stay here.
Very near Fukuyama Station so great for daytrips to nearby places like Hiroshima, Okayama, Onomichi, etc. Staff were friendly and welcoming (even though my Japanese is limited, we managed to communicate okay). Loved the room with its big windows and the privacy of the bunks.
Super friendly and attentive staff (especially Hanami, tusind tak 😁), beautiful view of Sensui Island, beautifully decorated room, great private onsen w/view. We also took advantage of the free shuttle from Fukuyama station to the hotel - very convenient.
I was very surprised how nice the room was. The bathroom and shower were huge by comparison to other hotels. It has an amazing view of the castle out some of the rooms. It is also very close to the train station.
