Facing the Tagus River and built on seven hills, charming Lisbon is one of the oldest cities in the world. It offers unique tram rides, intimate Fado performances, great dining venues and much more.
The city is famous for its districts: the Belém's famous monuments; the Alfama's labyrinthine streets, bars and small shops; and the trendy Alcântara's docks. Lisbon’s most popular nightlife and shopping venues are located in Bairro Alto, while the traditional heart of the city beats rhythmically in the Baixa.
Enjoy a walk in the greenery of Jardim Botânico, admire the architecture of the Jerónimos Monastery or explore Feira da Ladra flea market. The Chiado area serves the city's best traditional Portuguese food. No meal is complete without some famous pastéis de nata!
Getting to the city centre is only a metro or bus ride from Lisbon Portela Airport. Whether you want a luxury hotel, a friendly guesthouse or a cosy apartment, Booking.com has plenty of accommodations for your holiday in Lisbon.

Lisbon offers great food, great bars and all at a reasonable price. Weather in April was perfect for walking around all day comfortably; although be prepared for steep hills and cobblestone. If you’re not up for much walking, ride-share services have unbeatable prices.

We have stayed in Lisbon many times and continue to find it an enjoyable city although, as with many other places, it could be said that tourism is getting out of hand - it was certainly busier than we have experienced in the past. We would recommend taking time to visit some of the less obvious museums and sights that are less busy but still very rewarding.

What a fabulous place to visit!
What a fabulous place to visit! People are friendly, prices are reasonable, food is delicious, our hotels were 5 star and were fabulous. We did a Viator food/culture tour which was super interesting and fun. We stayed in Lisbon and did day trips to Porto and Sintra. My only thing I'd change would be to stay a night in Porto because it's 3 hours by speed train each way and was a lot to do in one day. If you walk a block or two away from the tourist area in Lisbon and can find more authentic (less touristy) restaurants it really added to the experience. I can't wait to go back, I loved Lisbon.

For getting around Lisbon I would suggest taking certified taxis, Uber, or Bolt. For pictures, if you walk up the stairs to the main street and go left on main street & keep walking, you will come across several picture worthy spots overlooking the city, see Pink Street (Recommend mid-dayish as you will want sun on the umbrellas, and walk down to the water. Go left to see a famous statue & the castle and go right to see other things. Make sure to keep going along the shore. Make sure to go past the ferry terminals. If you follow the water again you will go towards another monument that is very famous in Lisbon. It is in the same direction as the big red bridge that crosses the water. Also, make sure to take the ferry across the water and walk to the right when you get off the ferry. It is a beautiful spot to watch the sunset and takes about 20minutes to reach on foot. You can also eat there but make sure to reserve as spots are highly sought after.

I liked everything. The highlight of my trip was the boat trip on the Tagus which was beautiful.I also got a surprise view of the changing of the guards? in the Imperial Park opposite St Jeronimos.
Because I was a bit nervous I didn't have a great appetite but I had some lovely sardines in tomato sauce near the cathedral.
The metro is great so easyt to understand.I was lucky the 727 ran near my hotel to St Jeronimos.
The combined bus and boat trip(yellow) was great.I enjoyed the wine!

Good tours from freedom Square, tram good train service very good. Open top bus good value. Tuk tuk and segaway good fun
Eat two streets back from tourist squares for better value although far too many italian restaurants need to hunt down smaller restaurants for authentic codfish, bacalua, piri piri and all
We stayed in the room with the small private garden. We really enjoyed our stay. The communal rooms look cozy and there is an kitchen (fully equipped Incl fridge etc) if you want to do your own cooking (we didn’t use it). It is not a hotel, so no reception. You receive login codes for the different entrances, works great. Best way to get here from the airport is with an Uber. (Airport to alfama just below 7 euros during our visit). It saves you walking up and down Lisbon’s famous steep cobble stones with your luggage.
The hotel is in a lovely and easily accessible location.
I absolutely loved my stay there; the breakfast was lovely and the room was so comfortable and clean at all times,.
I went to Lisbon with no concrete itinerary but the staff helped with recommendations, they have a special desk to help clients with suggestions and bookings so that made my stay very worthwhile.
All facilities are as stated online. Definitely worth the price for a 5 star hotel.
Great staff, I highly recommend.
This was an excellent experience. Within a 5 min walk of the airport. Hotel bus leaves every 15 min. Super helpful, friendly staff at check in. Very nice room. Did not hear ANY noise, incl. not a single plane. Very comfortable bed. Good lighting and storage. The breakfast with several serving stations was outstanding too. It opens at 5.30 am. We were in Portugal and
Southern Spain for 4 weeks. This was definitely one of the best stays.
The hotel is also very reasonable priced.
Loved the location of this hotel. Could not beat how close it was to everything. Surrounded by some of the best restaurants, coffee shops and boutiques. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The building is beautiful when you take the time to appreciate the fixtures, the old staircase, the wooden floors and the photographs placed around the building. The beds were comfortable, the view was great and we had AC that worked very well. It was hot in Lisbon.
Nice spacious rooms. Bit outside of the city centre, but with the metro very close this is a perfect location for a Lisbon city trip. Comfortable beds.
No sound from outside. Which surprised me, as it's a busy street and aircraft fly really low over the hotel.
Easy reachable from the airport. I used the metro, which in hindsight was not even the best solution. Metro takes about 40 minutes, where the bus would take only 15.
My stay at Jardim da Lapa was one of the best hotel experience i’ve had, the boutique hotel has a unique character in one of the most beautiful and quiet neighborhoods in Lisbon.
What i loved the most about the place: the attention to detail, the most friendly staff, the atmosphere, the pool, the breakfast.
It is a perfect place for a solo traveller, a couple and also a family!
I will be back for sure :)
Listen folks, it’s a cheap hotel in general but good standard. Too sterile vs the work paid 5 star hotel on same city but did the job very well for an extra night. Convenience stores near by. I did not have breakfast there so I cannot comment on the food. Location was good but uphill on Lisbon pavements with Willy bag on a rainy day not a great combination. Overall very pleased with product I got.
Definitely can be called "room with a view." It sits on the highest hill in Lisbon and probably has the best hotel view in the city. Book one of the rooms with the mini balconies, #15,25 or 35 if you can. Best value for the money. Bathrooms are old school marble, quite decent. Sitting outside watching the sunset with music and a bottle of wine, what's not to love.
Super nice and helpful team. Changed my room as I asked and I was allowed to checkout later what was very convenient.
As I know, breakfast is not often option in Lisbon’s hotels. In Hotel Capital breakfast was rich enough 👍
And the best is location! 30 minutes away from the Airport (by bus or metro) and city center (by foot).
We only had one night in Lisbon for a stopover. I'm so glad I chose this hotel! It is in the best location right on the main pedestrian street with many beautiful sights nearby, the rooms are stylish, comfortable and quiet (despite the noisy area outside) and we ended with the beautiful rooftop terrace and breakfast!
I loved the location, which was really close to the historic center of Lisbon. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and had a lovely complimentary breakfast. The best part of this hotel, however, is the staff, who were so kind and really took their time to provide us with recommendations for things to do in the city.
A wonderful, friendly, small hotel with easy access to the sights of Lisbon. The best part was the garden, an beautiful oasis to take your breakfast or for afternoon drinks at the honor bar. The staff and owners helpfully shared their recommendations on Lisbon and other places to visit in Portugal. A real find.
The young lady who checked me in was lovely and friendly. The shower in the small bathroom was excellent and very modern. The breakfast was okay. The area around the hotel is a working class area with some good, cheap restaurants and has a more realistic feel to Lisbon than the City Centre.
Fantastic luxury hotel. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. And the breakfast was by far one of the best I’ve ever had. The hotel is not in the center of Lisbon but there’s public transportation that’s very easy to use right nearby so this was not a big deal.
excellent location(just 3mins to the metro), very very friendly staff, the room is nice with a good view. I love everything about this hotel. The breakfast is great, the coffee is the best there. I will definitely book again if I go to Lisbon again.
5 star service throughout and you’re treat like a VIP. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in and can not fault the service of every single member we encountered. Hotel itself is beautiful with an amazing selection for breakfast.
This is the best place to stay while we were in Lisbon..Bruno really give us a great room with a great view from our room..
Definitely..this hotel will be our place when we come back to Lisbon
Location 10/10

Great location. Netflix available so I could unwind before bed. Linens were wonderful. I’m currently staying at a 5 star hotel here in Lisbon and the linens and mattress is nowhere near as good.
Has everything that one would love about boutique hotels. Best value for money in Lisbon. Shout out to Mayk and all the staff who were lovely throughout the entire stay.
