Staying at The Pearl Beach Resort, Palolem was an absolute delight! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The amenities were decent, and the attention to detail in every aspect of our stay was truly impressive. Divine Kingdom at Abba's Agonda, hotel in Cola

Set in Agonda, a few steps from Agonda Beach, Divine Kingdom at Abba's Agonda offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a terrace.

We absolutely loved this oasis of calm and peace . We went for 2 days and stayed for 2 weeks. Fabian, Swizle and their family are the perfect hosts. Beautiful tropical gardens frequented by tropical birds , have been lovingly and thoughtfully created to give a sense of peace . Immaculate facilities, with a variety of accommodation for everyone from chalets to deluxe air conditioned rooms. As local residents Fabian and Swizle have a great insight into the town. Fabian contacted the local turtle conservation and liased with them so we could witness turtles hatching and being released as well as a mother laying eggs. What a privilege. We cannot thank them enough for their friendship and all they have done for us.

Blue Lagoon resort is a jewel, but it is for those who want peace and basics, and to get away, rather than another sanitized beach experience with all mod cons. The cabins, certainly those on the sea front, are spacious and well equipped, with fans and a large bed and deck, and also a large bathroom with hot water. The restaurant is excellent, and all staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Some reviews seem to be from people who arrived with unrealistic expectations, or who just like to complain. Yes, the access road is challenging, but dozens of 2- and 4-wheel vehicles (non-4x4) do it every day. Yes, swimming directly in front of the restaurant is also challenging, if one is not a confident swimmer, but there are calm waters just 50m along the beach. Yes, there are sometimes spiders, geckos and ants, but this has nothing to do with hygiene; it is because the accommodation is beach huts in a remote rural location. If you wanted modern conveniences and sterile conditions, you chose the wrong holiday. Yes, phone service is poor (same reason as above) but actually a blessing. Wifi coverage was perfectly adequate. Some people actually complain about not having TV in the rooms...really???? In summary, Blue Lagoon is a fantastic place that should be cherished. The moment it starts being the sort of place that some reviewers seem to want will be when I stop visiting.

Cola area is a panchayat and very small town , but its very peaceful as I understand most of the resorts are situated in this area. People are friendly and helpful . If you dont consider spending for up and down travel on bumpy roads , Cola is enjoyable.

The beach view is great and is a must if you want to escape from the normal hustle of north goa. It gives a relaxing and soothing experience. The backwater near the beach is an added advantage for families who are traveling with kids and wants to enjoy water activities with safety. The picturesque location of the beach makes it an exotic location. However, the resort fails to build on that. The rooms dont encourage you to sit and enjoy the property. The lighting in the room is quite dull. Although you can order anything from the nearby restaurant, but it is always great to have few essential stuff in the room while on arrival. No water bottles, electric kettle, toiletries.... were all missing considering the INR 7000 room. Will not recommend anyone with family to stay here. Good for honeymoon couples and the people travelling with friends
