Panama Kite Center, hotel in Punta Chame

Facing the beachfront in Punta Chame, Panama Kite Center features a fitness centre and a private beach area. There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking.

We had an amazing experience at this kiteparadise in punta chame. We found this kite spot/school via booking.com. The spot is really amazing with wind the whole day between 14-28kts. The gear we rented for a price of $90 a day, which is really worth it, because we got to use perfect and new kites from Core and Cabrinha. The cabins are comfortable, and precisely what you need to hang out in between your kitesessions. The restaurant has great kitchen with local food and other worldly kitchens: burgers, pasta and noodles! In the evening it’s cosy to hang out with the other kiters and release the adrenaline a bit with a nice cocktail or cerveza. The personal is helpful friendly and made sure we have a safe kite experience, where you can start as a beginner (me) or learn to do your first kiteloops (my boyfriend)! Amazing place! Thank you!

Studio Unit in Beautiful Resort, hotel in Punta Chame

Studio Unit in Beautiful Resort in El Mangote provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a bar and water sports facilities.

I'd rate the facilities at 2/5, but with how helpful the owner was (5+/5), I'd put the place at 3.5/5. Note that there is a gate, so if you need to leave early, youd need to inform owner about this, so that they open the gate. I'd recommend the owners to stay at this apartment for 2 days themselves, to see the critical missing parts.

Punta Chame is a peninsula were you feel that mass tourism has not arrived yet. It is very authentic and has a very special atmosphere were you can enjoy a mix of see and mountain views. There are not too many good restaurants around but we had a great experience at Casa Amarilla which is run by an italian family established there since a few years. It is a great location to have a feel of the panamean culture and lifestyle away from the classic touristic routes.

Unfortunately, what could have been a pristine nature...

Unfortunately, what could have been a pristine nature setting has bin obliterated by people's trash - On the roadways there all the way to the beach. I am still amazed that humans around the world will destroy Eco-systems with their garbage. The water is naturally greenish-brown and riddled with jellyfish and sting-rays buried in the shallow sea bed. We saw numerous dead fire-jellyfish which gave us pause to even enter the water. Maybe that's why you won't find people swimming there. One fisher-man told us outright that the waters around Punta Chame are dangerous for tourists as there are so many sting-rays hiding in the sand. We never went into the water and were generally disappointed about the lack of care Panamanians have for their nature reserves. And why doesn't anyone feel responsible for cleaning this mess? Can't be a lack of money - Panama-canal is generating millions of revenue each day.
