Breakfast choice was amazing. Plenty to choose from. Staff were so pleasant and always willing to help. Even had a little birthday card and yummy dessert for my little girl who was having her first birthday trip away with her sister and I. Honestly place was immaculate and so cosy. My girls had the best time and can't wait to come back.
Originally built in 1867, this charming town house has been tastefully renovated in a modern style, whilst retaining its historic charm, with stained glass windows and high coved ceilings

I grew up in Drogheda for over 18 years so naturally i am totally biased as this is a very historic town and the river Boyne has been within reach since childhood with places like Baltray, Terminfechin and Clougherhead memorable haunts.
The reason for staying at the D was convenient for all of my family members to visit. My usual place to sstay when "HOME" is with my sister but unfortunately she can no longer drive.

Drogheda is an historical town set between Dublin and...
Drogheda is an historical town set between Dublin and Dundalk on the east coast of Ireland. It has a mainline station and a busy bus station providing connections to the main cities, regional centres and local places.
The town is busy with plenty of places to eat, meet friends and have coffee. People are welcoming and interested in stories from abroad (in my case, London) and also like hearing what is going on up the coast (Dundalk) and in Dublin.
There are some great 'curiosities' in Drogheda (historical sites & quaint shops) and most of all it's a stone's throw from Dublin, making it a convenient place for international travel and further exploration of particularly the east coast of Ireland.
Because it's not Dublin, the cost of accommodation is considerably more economical, with a slightly more laid-back feel and good efficiency.
I particularly liked the buses and even got a free ride when I got on the wrong one (something which rarely happens to me in London!).
We had one night short stay in Drogheda, and didn't want to spend money on the expensive hotels,so this hostel come very handy. We have had a separate room,so can't comment on the other, dormitory type of rooms, but our room was spacious enough, with ensuite shower and toilet. Windows were out to the yard,so it was quite. For the breakfast, they have well equipped common kitchen, with everything you would need for a light start of the day. Overall positive experience
On arrival you were brought to your room which is furnished with a small kitchen. There was some cereals and tea in the kitchen which you could enjoy following your journey. There was a bathroom and shower in the room and more facilities downstairs which meant that two people could get ready at the same time. The room was clean, practical and it was better than a hotel because you could prepare some snacks for you and your friends.
The hotel itself is a period building and very beautiful. Now in Covid times they had plenty of outdoor space/facilities to sit out to enjoy the good weather or spend some time with loved ones. Have really appreciated this opportunity! It's calm and peaceful yet very central. Lovely front patio with loads of greenery which adds to the feel good factor. Spotless and cozy inside. The staff is very helpful and courteous.
The room was nice, the bed was not very comfortable. We had requested for twin beds. The twin beds were right next to each with a king head board. We had to separate them ourselves. We found out after we booked that they were only serving a continental breakfast, no lunch or dinner served in the dining area. There was also remodeling going on in the hotel. Limited services. The staff was very pleasant.
Listoke House is beautiful place to stay, with everything just as you would wish it to be. But the hosts really make this an exceptional place. Raymond in particular looked after us, and ensured that we knew the best spots to visit in and around Drogheda while entertaining us with a few tales. Make sure that you ask about the house’s founder!
I have stayed here now 3 times on two separate trips to Ireland, and love this hotel! The staff have been really nice and super helpful, recommending local eateries and entertainment and helping me with requests. The rooms are spacious, well kept and lots of storage. Stunning views, especially if you get ones overlooking the Boyne River!
Comfortable B&B outside the business area of Drogheda. Chose this location for our last night in Ireland and it’s close proximity to Dublin Airport. Maya gave a good overview of our room and its features. Several options available for breakfast, along with a breakfast bar of packaged croissants, yogurts, fresh fruit, cereals and breads.
good location
wonderful and helpful hosts
breakfast was delicious and an overwhelming amount
we had a medical emergency and needed prescription filled and Michele and Arthur arranged for the filling and even picked up the medication for us (having arrived tired and ignorant of the area)
Fantastic place and hosts!
This is my fourths stay and I LOVE the place.
Far exceeds numerous stays at some 5 star hotels
The staff are amazing, really lovely. The food is fantastic - we had breakfast and dinner both nights. And its a beautiful old place, ideally located downtown....
Cant wait to book our next trip!
Exceptional B&B. Tremendous breakfast, Superior rooms. Juilet is brilliant, an excellent, knowledgeable and friendly host. This is a great place to stay and explore the many attractions of the Boyne Valley. It's also not far from one of the best sandy beaches in Ireland.
Room and all facilities were very clean
Room was spacious and facilities provided were as stated at booking
A la carte dinner was excellent
The hotel was very good value for money
All staff were very polite and helpful
How close to shops pubs and eateries. We moved closer to Dublin to catch an early ferry impressed with the location of hotel and would like to stay again in the future.
Michelle and Arthur were friendly hosts, who made us very welcome. They have a lovely home, situated well for visiting any of the Boyne Valley sights or Drogheda.
