The staff was impeccable! Mario greeted us and was very accommodating, he helped us with directions, how to get around, called for luggage porter and even checked on tickets for the Blue Grotto. The breakfast buffet was a huge spread, so we had dinner at the hotel both nights with live music! Highly recommend the filet and eggplant parm fabulous! The wait staff is fantastic, from David, Fredrica, Jonathan and our Sommelier. We loved having wine on the outdoor restaurant patio and balcony of our room, the view was incredible and gorgeous at night with twinkling lights. Mario upgraded our room because not many people this time of year, the room and the view was phenomenal, it was everything you imagine Amalfi coast to be!

One of the most stunning places I've ever visited.
One of the most stunning places I've ever visited. Relatively unspoilt as it's difficult to reach and very expensive. Felt like an exclusive holiday location. Colourful buildings springing out of the hills, beautiful climate and STUNNING flora and fauna. All in all, one feels like one has been dropped into paradise on earth. Visiting in April is to be recommended as it feels neither too hot nor too crowded. I can't sing its praises enough. Travelling can be tricky if you have older people in your party - almost every route around the town involves steep steps. Spoilt for choice in terms of eating - we didn't have a bad meal. Shout out to Il Capitano (higher end) and Il Fornillo (slightly more reasonably priced). Recommend day trips to Pompeii and Vesuvius, the Amalfi coast (from Positano to Maiori), boat trip to Capri and Anacapri, and Sorrento.

Positano is absolutely amazing, but be ready to walk a lot...
Positano is absolutely amazing, but be ready to walk a lot of stairs, on very very steep trails. Respectfully, this place is not ideal for unfit people. Depending if you’re staying close the beach or on the upper side of the city, you will either have to take the stairs with your luggage or get a taxi, which is not cheap there.
There are a lot of good restaurants to choose from, and also very affordable, even though the city is rated to be quite expensive.
The beach is relatively small, so don’t expect to find a spot to lay down on the sand if you’re travelling during the summer season. As we visited in march, the weather was 10-18 degrees Celsius, which was prefect, also we avoided the crowds and the Mediterranean summer heat of June-August.

Is picturesque.
Is picturesque. Very hilly so if you have mobility problems would be best avoided. It is expensive even for little things like snacks I found it financially beneficial to have a proper meal. Other than that an enjoyable place to visit.

The Amalfi Coast is a beautiful destination to visit in...
The Amalfi Coast is a beautiful destination to visit in Italy. Originally, when booking this location, I thought the area was sold out-it was hard to find accommodations. But once we arrived we learned that the entire Amalfi Coast pretty much goes silent from November to late March. The area has limited restaurants open as well as hotels. So we were lucky we found a home in which to stay. Use the bus SITA to buy a trip to Amalfi to spend 4-5 hours. Well worth the 3euro cost. Other locations available too on this bus line. Sorrento can be visited as well using the public transportation. The winding roads leading from Sorrento to Positano and then to Amalfi will leave you spell bound. Sharp drops, scenic ocean views and the lovely speckle of homes up and down these cliffs is just breath taking. Highly recommend a visit to the area.

Everything was closed during Dec, no where to eat and only few shops were open, spent 3 nights and it was too long with no where to eat and not much to do, walked daily for spectacular views!
Lots of stairs to climb and I would definitely avoid coming December-March.

Positano is beautiful, but I would go back in the summer...
Positano is beautiful, but I would go back in the summer when we could use the beach. Stairs ! Stairs! Stairs! I didn't believe it until I seen it with my own eyes how much stairs there are. If you have trouble with stairs or walking Positano could be a difficult area. Luggage is also difficult to carry around here, and there is only 1 major road and if your not staying at a hotel on that road, there are alot of steps to get there.
This was the most magical experience I will never forget. The moment I stepped foot into this wonderful hotel I felt like I was a movie star just like all the historical phots on the walls of the famous people that have visited over the years. The staff were incredible and nothing was ever to hard. the food was incredible best restaurant in positano!! I will be back and will stay for longer next year. I thank you so much for having me at your wonderful establishment and look forward to my return.
kind Regards
Alex
Location is 5 star. Upper floor rooms all have balconies. Well sized for europe, good AC, ocean views. Ground floor has check in, and then a small area for breakfast, cappuccinos, etc. all of which are comparatively affordable. No roof top bar, or pool. But solid 3 star hotel, with 5 star staff and 5 star location. In general in positano, parking garages are a distance from your hotel, hire porter's to carry your bags (10E/bag). Everything is stairs or hills. So be prepared. Hotel helped arrange everything.
EVERYTHING! the views, the property, the rooms and the service were all top notch! We are not easily impressed and we were simply amazed. It was an unforgettable experience. Completely worth the money. We can’t wait to go back.
The breakfast might have been one of the best hotel breakfasts I have had, including executive floors. The 5-7pm wine time was a lovely touch. The staff could not have been nicer.
You’re close enough to town square but not in the middle of the chaos of Positano in June.
We had an excellent stay at Casa Caprile. The room was clean and comfortable but by far the best thing about the property is the friendly and helpful staff, who helped us make the most of our time in Positano. Breakfast can be taken in the sister hotel (Il Gabbiano) just over the road - the views are fantastic here, such a nice start to the day! I’d recommend this place to anyone who doesn’t mind a short walk into the centre of Positano, who can handle some stairs!
Cada Pietro is a place to be in Positano, it’s really well located just beside the main road( which is the best way to get to town and avoid the hundred and hundred steps ) nice restaurants close by ( at main road). The place was so clean, spotlessly. The owners are so welcoming and helpful and the bed and shower was the best I got during my trip to the Almafi Coast/ Capri. Great value for money! Literally a 5 star guest house !
Jacky is the best host in Positano for sure! With a welcome lemonade he makes you feel like home immediately. The location is perfect and the breakfast is better than many other hotels, highly recommended!
You have to pass through a carpark to get to the apartment but don't worry the place is surveilled 24/7. We would come back at night with no problem.
We had a really good time and will definitely come back!
Best views in Positano! The hotel is located right next to the center, and the views are the best you can find in positano. Loved everything about this hotel and our room, and had a great breakfast on my balcony with the most wonderful view. The staff were amazing and super friendly - if you're looking for a great hotel in Positano, you won't go wrong with this one.
Amazing! Our host, Antonio, helped w everything. The villa was spotless, we got an amazing breakfast outside every day overlooking the water and Positano’s cliff. We had a huge deck and massive hot tub w the best views. If you’re looking for relaxation- 100%. I’ve never been to Italy before, but this was the best lodging- not even close.
This hotel is the best kept secret in Positano! We had a beautiful ocean view with a balcony. The room itself was much bigger than expected and was very clean. The location is ideal. They even arranged an airport transfer to Naples for us at the end of our stay. I would recommend anyone to stay here! A great deal for the price.
The location of this hotel is amazing with a wonderful unobstructed view of the ocean! The breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever had at a hotel and the cherry on the cake was the owner, Giovanni and his wonderful family who treated everybody like family! We had an unforgettable time in Positano and Al Barilotto del Nonno!
This is the most beautiful place to stay. We got married here and it was so wonderful to go back and visit. The villa is stunning, every detail is so special and the views are the best in Positano. The food is also the best we have ever had in Italy thanks to Chef Nick! Everything is wonderful I could not recommend it more.
The location, staff, service…everything was just perfection.
The property is centrally located with stunning views (we had an ocean front suite). They have an excellent service to carry your bags to the property so you don’t have to hassle and the service and staff was just impeccable. A true 5 star hotel!
The location was superb a few yards up the road was a 5 star hotel and we had the same view but the best thing were the staff , the hotel is family run and the owners and their daughters are the nicest, friendliest people you will ever meet fantastic service
Excellent stay at Hotel Poseidon! Everything was great and we especially enjoy the breakfast and chilling time up on the pool level. Staff was helpful and kind, and the view is absolutely amazing. Will recommend to those that are traveling to Positano!
The best hotel we have stayed in during our trip to Italy
Breathtaking view of the sea.
The staff were extremely nice and helpful
Do not use google maps to get to the hotel as we did, you will end up clamping more than 1000 stairs steps.
Amazing view. Design and decor combines the taste of vintage Italy and Positano with modern facilities
Stuff are very helpful and friendly trying their best to make guests comfortable and enjoy their stay to the fullest.
The view from the balcony was spectracular. Maybe the best view in Positano. The reception personel was top. The hotel is just 10 minutes walk from the shops and the beach.
The staff was so helpful and accommodating! The best we experienced in our entire 14 day trip in Italy. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Positano
Just superb. Has everything you could wish for. absolutely one of the best hotels in Positano. stunning views. private beach. really helpful staff. 10/10 service.
