Mergozzo is a gem of a place, and this traditional house has you literally 1 minute from the lake shore cafes and bars, yet is set back so generally quiet. Kitchen is really well equipped but the local eateries are so good we didn't use the kitchen much.

Mergozzo is a beautiful old town on the edge of Lake Mergozzo. There are many amazing places to stay and have food and the most delicious ice cream is sold on the town square. There are activities on the lake such as paddle boarding, canoeing and peddle boats and you can hike several different paths from the town. It is in close proximity to Lake Maggiore which offers boat trips to its islands and has many restaurants overlooking the lake. The views are stunning.MargaretUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

Its a very peaceful place, close enough to the other lakes. The restaurants were all dog friendly and the service and quality was brilliant. The old town has got cobbled streets and some very old buildings.

We were there for a wedding so only booked a few days but I now wish we could have stayed longer to really explore the area. Mergozzo is much quieter and relaxed than Stresa and some of the other towns nearby which were too crowded and touristy for me. It's a beautiful location with several decent bars and restaurants to choose from and lots of things to do nearby.MELANIE

The little cabin was nicely decorated and comfortable, set away in the middle of a camellia farm. We could eat our breakfast (coffee, yogurt, fruit juice, and fruit) sitting surrounded by nature that we had to ourselves. There is a good restaurant a short walk away in Bracchio. For the more adventurous Mergozzo and its lake is only 15 easy minutes on foot.

We felt welcome in this hotel and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It was relaxing to have a meal at the restaurant downstairs, especially the croissants at breakfast, while staring at the beautiful view of the lake and mountain. At the end of a long day, it was also nice to just sit at the balcony while enjoying the view.
