Brasov is a nice town but it doesn't seem to be well maintained by the municipality. Historical buildings are left to self-destroy and there isn't much to see in the old city center. Otherwise, there are plenty of shops, restaurants and coffee places to sit, eat and drink. It's more convenient to walk around on foot than with a car. There are many car parking places around the old city center and all are paid. Parking fee is 3 RON for 1h, 24 RON for 24h, Mon-Sat from 8:00-20:00. Great city, with many things to do, gives you that middle-aged feel. Clean, and organized, you have the old part of the city but also the modern, mall, and shopping part if you want. Plus you are in the heart of the mountain.

The city has a lot of beautiful places. It is a historical town for Romania. You can check out the local cuisine, historical monuments and even the streets are very welcoming because the town is very clean and quite calm for the 6th largest town in Romania. When you finish your tour in Brasov, you can go to a mountain resorts that is almost adjacent to the city, called Poiana Brasov, renowned for it's skying adventures (applicable only in winter, of course), mountain hikes and very good cuisine.Dan RomulusRomania - 10Scored 10

Brasov is one of my fav cities of Romania. From the first time I travelled here, I felt like I was at home. You always have something to do or visit. The food is excellent, the people are nice and it is the perfect city for relax and have fun. We eat at Jasmine, in the centre. It was amazing!AAnonymous

It is 10 to 15 min walk from the Black church & the old city center. There are very nice pub & restaurants very close by - one next to the hotel & one just accross the street with great papanasi. The hotel offers a parking place (reserved only for the guests of the hotel) with a fee of 30 lei per day. Very, very convenient and very easy to park in this part of Brasov. Nice hosts.

We stayed here during a very cold weekend (-15 C). The apartment was very warm with the possibility to set the temperature at your preference which is another important aspect as we've had problems with the cold when staying at 4 and 5 stars hotels in Brasov.
