Our stay at barefoot beach exceeded our expectations. The location is amazing - right on the beach and close to downtown. We stayed in a deluxe room with sea view, which was spacious and comfortable. There are bikes available which we used every day to travel around the island, which really made us feel like locals. The staff were exceptional! Chet and the manager picked us up and drove us to the ferry terminal upon arrival and departure. Leron is the best bar keeper and quickly became a friend. He made this place feel like a second home! We will definitely be back and are already planning our next stay.

It is a very relaxing island. We enjoyed riding around on the bikes provided by our hotel. Feed the tarpoons, look for the sea horses and watch the sting rays come to shore at 4 pm. The wild life is beautiful. You can snorkel, sail. It's just really a lovely island.

Caye Caulker is very welcoming and relaxing.
Caye Caulker is very welcoming and relaxing. The people are friendly and the food is very tasty. I ate the coconut curried shrimp dinner with rice n peas and barbecue chicken at Chef Kareem. Walking distance to the water is one of my favorite part of being in Caye Caulker. Anything you need is steps away and you can walk without the need of a golf cart anywhere. I didn’t get to go to the other side of the split because I didn’t have enough time, but I will definitely visit again.

Caye Caulker is great.
Caye Caulker is great. Everyone we ran into was super friendly. I would not go there just for the beaches. There are only a few that are what one typically thinks of when they think of Caribbean beaches. The snorkeling was 100% worth the trip out there alone. The food we had was great -- ask your lodging, they can steer you to the right places (I would recommend Reina's, Errolyn's, Maggie's Sunset Grill, Ice and Beans). The owner of Ice and Beans remembers your order and name on the second day you stop by and is sooo nice. I would also recommend that you do not miss rooftop yoga at Namaste Cafe!. The Split can feel a little Cancun Spring Break 1990ish. But its easy to avoid. We rented bicycles at our cabanas and that made getting around the island so much easier! Highly recommend- fun and easier than a golf cart because the roads are a little bumpy.

One of the smaller Belizean island, CC has its own charm and its own pace -- go slow but keep moving is the motto. Food is excellent, dive opportunities everywhere, terrific snorkeling. Ah, but the Sand Flies!! Ouch! Make sure you have plenty of reef safe insect repellent and stay off the sand in the early morning and late afternoon when they come to feast on your legs and ankles. And remove your shoes before going back inside so you don't bring the little critters with you. I was pretty okay, but my manpanion looked like he had chicken pox and he was pretty miserable. Take care....but go slow!
Best lobster is to be found at Pelican Sunset on the west side of the island. Make a reservation in person around noon if you want a sunset table. Dinner is served all day, but you might want to avoid happy house as it's crazy crowded. The Art Cafe is great for brekkie and has a lot of vegan options as well as salads.Eat meat pies when you can find them. Use Marie's hot sauce, a locally produced product! Go to The Split and eat crab claws, lobster kabobs, and BBQ corn at Esther's roadside stand. Drink local beer. Also local rum is darned tasty.

Caye Caulker does not have a beachfront, there is a barrier wall around all the areas. The water is beautiful and we went to Iguana Reef Inn to enjoy a little beach. The roads here are not paved, they are sand or clay and there are a lot of potholes. Your shoes and feet will not stay clean. The major mode of transportation is bicycle or golf cart. The island was not what I expected, we started our vacation in Hopkins which we loved. Check out Coconut Row if you want fabulous service, lazing by a glorious pool and enjoying beach front. The food on Caye Caulker was good but repetitive, most places serve the same stuff. We ended up going to San Pedro one day and renting a golf cart out to Secret Beach, that was really nice. The beach is free and there are restaurants and bars that come to your seats to take your orders and serve you drinks and food. We snorkeled with Nauti Time which is right next to the water taxi. It was a great experience and we had a good time.
Our best stay in Belize! Very relaxed environment, check in was a breeze and the food/drinks at the attached restaurant were excellent. The Split was only a 10-min walk from the hotel and the ferry port was even closer (<5 min) so it was really easy to get to everything. Great value for the price. Staff VERY helpful and friendly. The area the hotel is in is "lively" but not loud/crazy like the hotels closer to The Split. Very easy going atmosphere.
The cabanas were lovely, very clean and spacious. We often sat on the porch with a coffee and fryjack. The room was cool, the aircon and fan worked great. The room was clean and the towels smelt great.
The coffee and tea facility was nice. We haven’t had that anywhere else in Belize or Guatemala.
The book of recommendations were great! We used Ragga sailing, the laundry service and all the food places.
The 8 cabanas are in their own gated community.
Staying at sea dreams was an excellent experience! The rooms were clean, the breakfast was delicious and the hotel atmosphere was a dream! But what really made the experience amazing was the staff!! They went above and beyond to make sure our stay at Caye Caulker was unforgettable and stress free. Thank you for everything!
Go Slow is definitely the best hostel on Caye caulker! The entire hostel was very clean and I liked that the outdoor areas were gravel and not sand like other hostels which meant that the sand didn’t come into the rooms. The ac was good and it was nice to have a microwave and fridge in the 4 bed dorm.
This was a great little place to stay. The room was very clean and beds were comfortable. There was a kettle, fridge and water provided and a binder with great food recommendations! The host was very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting caye caulker!
Caye Caulker is so beautiful and a lot of fun. Tropical Paradise is within walking distance of the ferry, restaurants and other activities. The pool is really nice with a beautiful ocean view. We kayaked off the hotel's beach, very convenient and not too expensive. The staff was very friendly.
We liked our stay at the beach hotel, the location was convenient, close to all the restaurants and the ferry terminal. The bed was comfy and the shower hot with a good water pressure. It had a lovely rooftop terrace with hammocks from where you could see both east and west coast.
The people working at the hostel were incredibly accommodating and helpful. Bella’s backpackers is in a fantastic location to explore Caye Caulker from. The activities they put on are good fun too. Perfect if you are looking for a social hostel on a budget!
Wonderful cabanas, best place to stay on Caye Caulker! The owner was wonderful with many local recommendations of things to do. Awesome location with a great beachfront, kayaks and bikes available!
I loved the location of Colinda Cabanas and Juan was the best host. Having bikes and kayaks included was such a perk and made exploring the island so much more doable and fun. Can't wait to return!
This is the perfect place to stay at Caye Caulker, staff is super helpful, friendly , they have comolimemtary paddle boards and kayaks and their private tours are just amazing totally recommended
For my needs perfectly! Centrally located, an easy walk to everything. Luis provided great a great breakfast. I would highly recommend staying here if your travels bring you to Caye Caulker.
Cute, colorful - great location in the action of Caye Caulker! Great sized room (esp for just me!!), kitchen, bathroom and shower all very close. Would definitely stay here again!
Excellent location, and big and comfortable apartment. Also has a balcony which is very nice. Hilda the host was great, kind and reachable, so overall good catch in caye caulker.
The location on Caye Caulker cannot be beat-- so close to everything. I felt safe and comfortable during my stay, and having the bikes and kayaks was a huge plus!
