Located within a short drive or even walking distance of the bison pasture and the hot springs pools. Felt safe and was quiet, except we could hear our own kids through the door of our side-by-side rooms. Young lady who checked us out was cordial and welcoming. The rooms are modest but comfortable with working fridge and microwave. Bathroom was clean.

I did not stay long, but Thermopolis is a pleasant and friendly town. low to no crime and the Hot Springs complex is worth a whole day visit. I was there in the winter. In the summer there is a dinosaur dig quite close by. the shops and restaurants are very nice. The town and Hot Springs Park are within walkable distance of each other.

We enjoyed the mineral pool/bath.
We enjoyed the mineral pool/bath. Hot springs and swinging bridge. Drove State Park and saw lots of buffalo. Wind River Gorge is a beautiful drive. We were there on a Monday and found some stores and eating places closed. We would definitely visit Thermopolis again. Lots to see and do, especially for families with kids.

Had breakfast at the Black Bear Cafe.
Had breakfast at the Black Bear Cafe. Good food and some early morning specials! The One Eyed Buffalo was great for dinner. The Tomato and Basil Chicken was so good. The drive through the State Park is very fun. Drive out to see the bison. The surrounding area is beautiful from where the bison roam. The Wyoming Dinosaur Center is a must. So much to learn and see about many different prehistoric creatures.

Thermopolis is a great spot if you like mineral pools and history. The Tee Pee pool is pretty awesome and the terrace pools are beautiful. There was a band playing in the park and a great community gathered. This little town is a must stay in Wyoming.
We had prime rib sandwiches at the Safari Lounge located in the Hot Springs Hotel & Spa that were wonderful and the onion rings were out of this world good.
We didn't leave the state park area, but I would like to come back and explore more and stay longer.

Our family went to the Star Plunge which my kids thought was fun...The hot pools smelt like stinky feet, not sure what their cleaning protocols are (I'm not talking about the sulfer smell from the natural springs.... which isn't great but you can get used to that) The P6 pizza was great for dinner and we enjoyed our breakfast at the 7 lazy S.
Our highlight was actually the Wyoming Dinosaur Center. We spent a few hours there, and still wish we would have stayed longer!

Everything was perfect.
Everything was perfect. Needed a getaway for battery recharge. Thermopolis was Everything we needed to just relax & let world pass us by. Loved the pools. Loved the relaxed atmosphere. If one is unable to "unplug" from the cares of life in yhis gem of an oasis, I would recommend just keep driving!! 😆
The location was very close to the dinosaur museum, and the river walk. The dinosaur museum was a surprisingly great
exhibit, and the river walk was a great place to exercise the dog.
All the special treats in the fridge were a very thoughtful extra, and the homemade banana bread waiting on the kitchen table was very yummy.
The matresses were just the best I have slept on in a long time; I didn't want to get up.
The contacts with the host were speedy and helpful.
We loved the bison on the porch.....
We never saw the staff, but our key was available for us and the cabin to our liking. It was a quiet place, with good beds. Since we stayed there on Labour Day we had some difficulties finding a restaurant, but in the end had dinner at the Hot Springs Hotel & Spa which was excellent and very closeby. We had breakfast at the Black Bear Café, also closeby and very good and cozy.
The main attraction of this hotel is it's location, and that it delivers in spades. You are basically in Hot Springs National Park -- so it is definitely worth it. We went there for the dinosaur museum, which was close and great! But the park was a really welcome surprise. We did not do any spa, hot tub, etc. activities so can't comment on that.
The cabins were very cute! The kids thought it was an adventure staying in them. We enjoyed eating our breakfast out on the porch in the mornings. We liked that the cabins were within walking distance of the main street of Thermopolis, and an easy drive in to the hot springs state park, and the dinosaur center.
It’s a charming old mineral hot spring spa that has been converted into a modern hotel. Breakfast was great. They have free cold bottled water available all day. The bathrooms have been recently remodeled and the common areas are newly remodeled.
I love the property’s closeness to the numerous hot springs and the cabins are an excellent change of pace from your typical hotel rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful and seemed like they cared about our stay and making it nice.
Breakfast was only so so. I got the veterans rate and location were the prime reasons for choosing this hotel. Wanted to stay there again in may but clerk said there was a four day minimum. I booked next door
İ enjoyed the fact that this stay was an experience and not the normal overnight stay at a hotel. Loved the uniqueness of the tipi lodging, the remoteness outside of Thermopolis and the high comfort level.
across the street from the grocery store. they provide separate towels for hot springs swimmers. thermopolis is a small town, so the location was good, plus there is little or no traffic in thermop.
Bedroom was a good size but backed on to the pool which meant children squealing outside the window until 10pm. Highlight was moving out early to go to a different hotel.
Lovely hotel the lady had us all booked in when we got there really comfy beds spotlessly clean great coffee free water
loads of towels and good shower
