Bryson City is a beautiful little town with lots of cute shops and interesting history. The town only has one sit down diner for breakfast and it stays very busy, The evening options are quite diverse and offer a variety of menus and prices, The streets are nice for walking along, and some benches are available to sit, the town features fiberglass 'trout' in different designs and colors, so look for these as interesting photo oppportunities. The Swain County Museum is really interesting as well. The are multiple hiking/walking trails in the area and don't forget to visit the 'Road to Nowhere'. The highlight of the town is the Great Smoky Mountains Railway and Miniature Train Museum.

Bryson City is a Gem!!
Things to do... Definitely a must is the Train!!! Splurge for the first class tickets with lunch and request the Harper Car with Steve!!! (Adults only) It'll be worth the little bit of extra money, I promise!!
Next, Make reservations with GTR Adventures (right across from the railroad museum, on Depot St.) Ask for Robbie and he will give you an Itinerary of places off the beaten path to go see via ATV!!! Bucket List Trip, for sure!!
Falls, Road to Nowhere, Tubing, and you are so close to other Adventures in Cherokee, Fontana Dam, Maggie Valley...
One place for FOOD in Bryson City that I can recommend without hesitation is Pasqualino's Italian Restaurant!!! Hands Down, the best Italian ever and the best wait staff, starting with Jackson!!!! Amazing service!!! Sooo many Gluten Free Options, including freshly made bread from the local bakery from down the street! It was the only place we ate inside Bryson City, and we ate there twice!
There are lots of places to shop, snack and eat. We went during the off season. What we loves the most about Bryson City was the people. Everywhere we went, we were welcomed. Thank you Bryson City for the memories!

I love Bryson City!!
I love Bryson City!! It's not too far from where I live and it's just a nice getaway for the weekend. Lots to do here and great places to eat and drink. It should meet all of your needs. Plus the surrounding towns offer exciting activities also so you're in the center of it all. Definitely hit the Everett Diner for breakfast! Jimmy Macs and the Iron Wok for dinner. If you like a nice cold beer then definitely visit the local brewery, Mountain Layers Brewing Company.

We came for the train ride for our anniversary.
We came for the train ride for our anniversary. The town is very pretty at Christmas. But there is no where to eat. It's mostly fast food. 2 or 3 mom & pop places. We ate at 3 of those and they were very good but way too high for the food. Got burgers both places & it cost us as much for those as it does a steak dinner. And outside of downtown, everywhere we went everything looked run down and trashy. It's almost like there are no limit to how much trash and vehicles a person can put in their yard. Jimmy Macs was good, but pricey. Bryson City Bakery was really good but $28 for a breakfast sandwich, a coffee, a cinnamon roll & a breakfast casserole muffin.

Bryson City has a lot to offer from eating, shopping, and outdoor experiences with the close location of The Great Smoky Mountains and other wilderness areas to enjoy. My family and I took my son to the Polar Express if you haven't had this experience, I highly suggest it.

It was a very beautiful city at christmas time.
It was a very beautiful city at christmas time. Our trip was planned for 3 days, but our plans had to change. Will plan a return trip next year for longer time. Lots of little shops and all with in walking distance of the Relax Inn where we stayed. Very Nice mom and pops inn, clean and right in town. Can walk to many of the local shops and resturanunts. We went to ride the polar express, recommended to all. We had a great time just wished we could have stayed longer.
The property was amazing. Lots of character as you walk around. Plenty of sitting area to enjoy the outdoors. The fire pit in the evening was a great time to meet other guests. The main house amazing as well as the breakfast room with its windows to enjoy the scenery outdoors. Our room was great. It was very clean, spacious and well furnished. The place is on my list of places to go back to a stay. You are also only a half mile from downtown Bryson City.
The owner was very nice! He even let us keep our rental at the hotel while we went to walk through Bryson City. When we checked in, he asked if we had been here before and gave us a map of the town. The bed was comfortable, no bugs to be found anywhere, the AC worked great, and you're a few steps away from the river! (Depending on which room you get you'll be right on the river actually)We enjoyed our one night stay tremendously.
we enjoyed the cabin, although the dirt road to get up there is a little sketchy, you just have to maintain your speed going up and down, it was away from everywhere, so if you are looking for a quiet place to get away from people then this is your cabin. to get to Bryson City, it's only about 10 minutes away. the beds were very comfortable, The kitchen had more than enough supplies if you intend on cooking at the cabin.
Breakfast was wonderful! My grandkids did not want to leave. They were excited to put their golden ticket with their name on the Christmas Tree and participate in the Christmas crafts. This was the fourth time we stayed at the Inn. We will definitely stay at the Inn when we return to Bryson City. The Inn keepers and the little extras make it such a friendly and quaint place to stay.
We recently stayed at this lodge and were thoroughly impressed by the superb value it offers. The lodge is impeccably clean, is in a great location with easy access to trails (and Bryson City), and provides a fantastic night's sleep. One of the highlights of our stay was the amazing fire pits where we could gather and meet other guests. Would highly recommend.
The Sweet Pea tiny home was the perfect stay for our getaway to Bryson City. When we arrived, the cabin was clean and had all the necessary amenities. It was even decorated for the holiday season! The host, Gina, was very responsive and we enjoyed the home close proximity to downtown Bryson City.
The cabin was cozy and spotless. Loved the themed decoration. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you might need. There is a washer and dryer in the cabin. The location is very convenient to Cherokee and Bryson City. We have already booked another weekend in June.
Great location on the edge of Bryson City, quiet with a lovely view. Comfortable bed, great shower, easy keyless access, good WiFi. Easy access by car to two excellent hiking centres. Basic but adequate kitchen and crockery. For a couple it was great
This hotel is located less than 5 miles from the Deep Creek entrance and campground area of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The room was comfortable, breakfast was dependable, and everything was appropriately clean. Staff was very nice and helpful.
I liked how close the property was to Bryson city, NC. Andy the host was very kind and helpful. I was thankful it had three bedrooms for me and 2 girlfriends to have a nice girls trip for the weekend. If was a very homey little place!
Location was great that's why we chose Relax Inn.
The room was very clean, bed was very comfortable, and staff was helpful and friendly. We plan to stay again next time we visit Bryson City.
The cabin is a 5 minute drive from Bryson City with a lovely view in a quiet area! The house has everything you need for a very comfortable stay! Very cute decorating as well!
The Breakfast was a bonus and the staff was wonderful to work with. The location of the hotel allows you to park walk to the downtown area restaurants and shops.
