I went Sunday to Thursday in mid December, but it seems like "season" doesn't start in Lake Placid until Christmas day. A lot of attractions and restaurants are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday and it was raining the only day the speed skating oval was open for me, so I had bad luck and would plan better next time. I didn't get to do bobsled experience and other things from the legacy site and was even turned away from the Gondola at whiteface as a sight seer. So just make sure the things you want to do will be open when you go.

Lake Placid is an absolutely beautiful little town.
Lake Placid is an absolutely beautiful little town. Everything is within walking distance and there is so much to see and do. It’s pricey but there are so many beautiful little shops and places to eat. Walk the lake or climb a mountain, you’ll keep busy for days.

The hotel was great, very clean, beds comfy, great breakfasts! Staff was friendly and personable. Nice keurig coffee machine in room, so you can bring your own k cups if you want. They only have Green Mountain brand. They also have decaf. Location was the best! Not very far from anything! Loved the top of Whiteface Mountain, can access by elevator or hiking. Was a continuous fragrance of pine, reminded me of Christmas. While at the ski jumps we had a chance to see some of the 6-14 year olds practice. That was great! We had a very good meal at Black Bear Restaurant! Getting around town is very easy. All in all a great place to stay for a few days.

we participated in the Olympic venues passport choice and had a wonderful time exploring and partaking at each venue.
the food at every restaurant was great, we liked the creperie and black bear restaurants. driving around was easy. We did mini golf, the visitors cruise on lake placid, had a manicure, made a bead bracelet, and browsed the shops. We also went to High falls gorge.
the scenery in the area cannot be beat, the trees, mountains, and lakes are awe inspiring. i think that was my favorite part.

Rooms very new but sterile..
Rooms very new but sterile.. No pictures on walls.Shower floor VERY SLIPPERY! Great location but parking very poor… When I complained about no parking spots available the front lady said” first come first served “.. no guarantee.REALLY? ! Not what web site says.
The place was beautiful, the jacuzzi was wonderful after a day of sight seeing, the breakfast was ok, but they didn't seem to be on top of keeping the hot dishes stocked. The cinnamon rolls were dry, but the muffins were good. The fruit was fresh. The chocolate waffles was a plus. The hotel was very clean, the rooms & bathrooms also. I really enjoyed my stay. Great location, just a short walk to Main Street and tge lake is right across the street.
Close to Lake Placid. Izzy front desk excellent and was so nice and made our stay better with problems fixed . Top notch customer service! Rates seemed very good until we arrived and saw conditions of outside of building and pool closed at our hotel. Had to check in across road which was ok, but pool and everything was across the road. Didn’t know that when booked but wasn’t bad. Pool inside looked very cloudy?
Excellent location. Beautiful bay with kayaks to use for free. Beautiful rooms with everything you could possibly need. The pool area was awesome. The view was so relaxing at night. Our entire family was sad to leave this hotel. There are so many things to do in the area. The lounge area had an ice machine, microwave and extract towels. Contactless check in was a plus. We will be back.
Beautiful hotel, with rustic and comfortable shared areas. Rooms were basic, but clean and comfortable. Nice, cold AC and plenty of hot water. Lobby and breakfast area really gave the "Adirondack" feel, nice outdoor decks and chairs. Great location right at the foot of Main Street a d right across the street from Olympic museum, ice rink and speed skating oval. Y
Absolutely gorgeous views and love, love, love the balconies. Rooms were quiet even though we knew there were other people in the rooms around us. We loved trying out the hydrobikes and exploring the lake. Location was amazing--walk to all the cute restaurants and shops Lake Placid has to offer. Really a perfect spot for a getaway!
Accommodation is of a high standard with virtually everything you need for a stay in Lake Placid. High standard of cleanliness throughout and a well equipped kitchen if you want to cook yourself.
Visit was to experience the fall colours, which were exceptional in 2022. Trip was made first two weeks October.
Very modern, clean, and comfortable room. Located a short walk from a bunch of restaurants in the middle of Lake Placid. A great place to spend a few days exploring the Adirondacks.
The family rooms was spacious and perfect for family with 2 children.
The location was good, walking distance from Mirror Lake and the main Street. The cottages were nicely maintained and comfortable. The kitchen was also good and useful. Overall good value for money and worth staying here.
The location of the hotel was great. We were at the bottom of the main street in Lake Placid and could walk to many shops and restaurants. The view from our hotel was fantastic and there was a nice pool/patio area.
Location, comfortable and clean. Yuri the manager was great! Small problem with ac and he could not have been more helpful getting it fixed! We had a great visit to Lake Placid and this hotel made it special.
The view is the best, the hotel is very nice decorated. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. Pool and gym are great. Dinner at the restaurant was nice, service was good.
Conveniently located to downtown & all things Lake Placid but still out of the bustle of all the people downtown.
Comfortable beds. Good sized rooms. Well-maintained.
Very simple room. Nice location with beautiful view. Close to Lake Placid. Fine for 1 night. Looking at the pictures I think the cottages are quite a bit nicer.
