This hotel is grossly over-rated.. our room booked had few windows.. no ability to boil water.. parking was hugely inconvenient.. why should anyone hand over car keys so the hotel staff could move your vehicles around. Never again.. the best bit about this hotel was that Good Stuff was very close nearby for a proper breakfast & leaving after two nights was a blessing. Don't even think about it!

The Hermosa beaches are very clean and well kept.
The Hermosa beaches are very clean and well kept. Lots of restaurants and bars close by. Beautiful scenery! The one major drawback back is that the restrooms were closed all except the one by the pier and there are not enough of them along the beach.

Great place!
Great place! It's away from the city hussle, lots of places to go out and eat and drink at all times. The beach is perfect, also lots of volleyball fields for everyone to come and play. With a bike you can go all the way up to Santa Monica in a reasonable time.

Hermosa Beach is a great place for a 4 night stay if you enjoy a clean sandy beach, plentiful restaurants and bars, close proximity to nearby towns and beaches. We had a fabulous dinner at MB Post Restaurant in Manhattan Beach which is only about 10 min Lyft ride. Super easy to get around on foot or by bike. Parking can be a challenge, so make sure you have parking available at your hotel or your rental. We traveled in October during COVID year, so was probably less crowded than usual. Can imagine much more traffic and parking challenges during peak season. Reservations for diner are highly recommended on weekends.

Hermosa beach has some of the best beach volleyball on earth. The strand has shopping and restaurants and bike rentals. It's one of my favorite cities on earth. Very outdoorsy city with lots of people walking, running, biking and just enjoying nature. Lots of stop signs so be patient driving around.
The hotel is in a perfect location for the beach, restaurants, etc. We only stayed the one night before boarding a cruise but was so impressed with the hotel and its location that we may book a week another time. The selection of restaurants and clubs is awesome with a pedestrian only section by the pier.
The hotel has underground parking which is awesome because Hermosa Beach is one of those beach towns where parking is impossible to find.
The location is amazing as Hermosa Beach is walking distance and even if our room was on the side of the street, it was really quiet and relaxing. It was spacious and had an area that allowed us to work for a day (on Friday) and the wi-fi connection was good. Breakfast was okay and there was the option to sit inside or on a nice terrace. Fitness room very small but with several dumbbells, exercise bike and treadmill.
I am familiar with the neighborhood and needed 4 nights to stay. Since I was traveling alone, my priority was safety, location and cleanliness. There are no amenities like a lobby or food service but for this trip, I wasn't looking for that. Coffee was available in the room and the room was large enough to spread out. Anything you could possibly need is steps away...including the beach!
I loved how close it was to the beach & Hermosa pier. We met other family for lunch in Redondo & was so easy to just walk down the strand. We loved the historic feel of the place. Also it was laid back & easy to communicate with the hotel staff. Very close to so many restaurants. We were there for family in Torrance as well as Universal Studios, it was the best location.
Staff is delightful. Best roof deck bar one of the best in the bay - the High Top is stunning - you must make a reservation at least 48 hours in advance. The rooms are reasonably comfortable with great lighting. Egg Slut is right next door for THE BEST breakfast. Hama Sushi is the best happy hour on Windward circle. Love the Erwin.
I stayed here last year. Still as good as i remember. Great location. Right where the action is at Hermosa Beach. Lots of cheap options to eat nearby, as well as convenience stores. Beds were comfy. Wifi is reliable. There’s free breakfast. Very basic (bread, PB and Jam, cereals, bananas, pancake mix) but hey it’s free.
The Location said 100 metres from the Beach and it was exactly where it said, and I was a littler concerned about booking a small boutique hotel, but the location appealed to me. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality and standard of the hotel, the owners and ll staff!! I'll be back Cheers Ray
Easy to find by Pacific coast highway. Nice helpful staff and big clean rooms. The bed was big and very comfortable, and bathroom was clean and bright. Positively surprised by the breakfast buffet, which was really good. A short walk to the silent end of Hermosa beach. Would stay again.
One of the most amazing areas I’ve ever stayed. Got the private room upstairs at the front so had amazing smells of food along with sounds of beautiful guitar/live singing during the day plus epic views of the sunset and crisp ocean breeze.
Excellent location in Hermosa Beach! One block off The Strand and one block over from pedestrian area with shops, restaurants and Hermosa Beach pier. Easy walk to Manhattan Beach or head the other direction to Redondo Beach.
Location is simply amazing. The Strand, Dining, Pier, Surfing and the beautiful beach right outside your door. Breakfast was very nice. Room was comfortable too. I would definitely stay here again for the location.
The hotel was in a good location, only a 10 minute walk to the beach. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast had a good variety of food. The rooms were nice and clean.
room was really clean. hotel was basic but good value. parking was included and plenty of space. easy walk to the beach. all staff were really helpful and pleasant. I would definitely stay again
The renovations were tastefully done. Has a great aesthetic. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Back lounge area looked nice but we didn't get to use it as we were only there 1 day.
-great location
-modern and stylish hotel
-mini mart at the hotel
-check in at 2am no problem
-luggage storage etc
overall great experience, would come back
We like the location and the hotel (the lobby and terrace are really nice) but it needs cleaning and maintenance of the facilities e.g., clean AC filters.
