A very comfortable, clean, luxurious room in a great location in central Davis. My only quibble would be that there was no one around in the morning when I tried to check out about 6:45 am, but that didn't seem to be a problem.

Bummer was Hotel was falling apart No Elevator for our 6 days stay we were on the second floor of the hotel so we had to climb lots of steps to get to and from our room the ice machine was broken on our floor and when we first arrive for four hours no water
But all the staff and the managers were all very nice there and pleasant, very good breakfast and that was it

Great place to stay in Davis.
Great place to stay in Davis. Close enough to UC Davis that we didn't have to get up early for Aggie Day. There were good restaurants nearby (highly recommend the Japanese one) and a fab grocery store.

Be prepared for a friendly hotel that has slipped away from its previous high standards, with rooms badly in need of a facelift. It has all the facilities, though some are slightly shabby. It definitely needs tighter management and staff with better training.

The hotel met my expectation.
The hotel met my expectation. However, I was charged about $15 over the price that was shown during booking and confirmation. I asked why but was told it was for incidental and would be refunded upon checked out. It was not refunded when I checked out. In fact, I was not given a receipt even I had asked for one. Booking.com has not done anything to help me to resolve this situation. It is not so much about the $15 but it is the principle of the hotel not meeting its advertised price.

I lived in Davis for many years, so I know where I want to go when I am there. I recommend the Davis Food Co-op for bulk foods, organic produce, and spices hard to find elsewhere. There is an Asian market on Fourth street. The Farmers Market is Wednesday afternoon and Saturday morning. Davis Ace Hardware has a good selection of kitchen wares, towels, and napkins. Pence Gallery on D Street and The Artery on G Street have original art for sale. There are independent book stores downtown, one for new books and toys, another for used books. There are three movie theaters downtown - one for indie films. The arboretum and university campus are favorite places to walk. Unitrans buses can take you around town - walk down third street to campus to get on board. There is a variety of restaurants on Second and Third streets, E and G Streets, and the university student union on campus. Indian and Nepalese food are especially good. Amtrak service is frequent.
Excellent location in Davis, in the center close to all restaurants, good positioning for UC Davis, even if not right next to it. You can hear the train sometimes during nighttime but it is not a big disturbance. 10 mins walk to the Arboretum which is beautiful and definitely worth a visit.
Cafe Bernardo downstairs is very popular and has a very diverse offer both for breakfast and lunch. The food is excellent. Wiki bar is pleasant.
Price for area is very reasonable. It’s clean and rooms are best as far as Motel 6 locations. Has everything you need plus like a regular hotel room. Fan works like air conditioning, that was nice. Staff are efficient and friendly. Plenty of parking, near nice shopping center with Starbucks, grocery, and a few great restaurants. Area has lots of trees, easy to go to downtown Davis or get on freeways and go where you need. Thumbs up.
Loved Drsk Man, he was so great...we had cash and he was kind to tell us no cash...held the room till we got back..rest was gravy.. also I love this spot because when I moved to davis in pandemic it was this spot I lived until my apartment was ready... they rock...wish it was under a 100 tho..lol...well done otherwise
Have to say room was very nicely remodeled, bright, cheery, very inviting. Location to city of Davis, good, and highways, excellent. Breakfast bar, lame but for such short stay ok, I guess! Pool was closed, when inquired as to why, check in person just shrugged her shoulders, duh?
very well located to walk in Davis. The bed was very comfortable and the room was nice. only drawback was the noise from the refrigerator and heater as well as the street noise. overall, it was a good place to stay near campus, however. we will do so again.
We stay at this hotel often when we visit our daughter at Davis. I love the small, equipped kitchen and comfortable room. Staff is always friendly and breakfast is good. I like the location, right off the interstate and close (but not too close) to campus.
The Vine Inn can be considered as a standard US motel, but with the benefit a great down town locaction in Davis. A nice renovated room with a comfortable beed raised the motel experience from the usually modest level for this kind of accommodation.
Great location near campus and nature trail and promenade. Nice small hotel in a mixed residential/light commercial, tree lined neighborhood. Everything was good except the rooms are small. But still comfortable. Also, close to some restaurants.
The location was close to town, a pleasant walk to all the shops and restaurants. The room had a microwave as well as a small fridge, and a separate living room area. Nice air conditioning system for those hot summer days in Davis.
The breakfast was wonderful. So many hotels have cut breakfast offerings, but this had everything--and it was good. The bed was the best part of the experience. I slept much better than I usually sleep in hotels.
This is a standard hotel that offers what you pay. There are no surprises. it has all you need. However, the overall quality is median, but everything functions well
Everything was good with this hotel. It is located at downtown area so there are a lot of restaurants nearby. The lighting in the room is nice and bright..
