Lou and the other staff members were so friendly, as they made sure to check on us, asked if we needed anything, and encouraged us to take advantage of their lounge area. We only stayed one short night, but the kindness really made an impression on us. We were upgraded on our room, which was a nice surprise. The room was clean and comfortable.

The location was central, we were able to travel to Nanaimo, and Courtenay easily and in a timely manner but also able to enjoy Parksville too. The bed was comfortable and the room came with a double pull out couch that my linebacker son said was comfortable.

Best apartment we stayed in. Very modern, spacious and clean. Despite having no view, it was a light and airy. It was great to have 3 proper separate bedrooms. Ni windows in the bedroom was no issue at all as the rooms were plush and all beds were extremely comfortable.
Very modern open plan kitchen and sofa area. L-shaped sofa very comfortable.
Location was great. Short stroll to the waterfront and to an eclectic selection of suburban shops nearby.

We loved that the room had so many unexpected amenities like some pots, pans, a hot plate, cooking utensils, as well as a small fridge, a microwave, coffee and very comfy beds/pillows! The staff were extremely friendly, and very informative on everything available to us during our stay. This was the cheapest option at the time of booking-Plus, free mini golf?! Heck yeah. We were thrilled. Thank you for the great stay! We will be back for sure 😊

Interaction with a very friendly and well-trained staff, and the unexpected 'class' of the property, both much greater than our expectations. Very clean and nicely appointed room with unobstructed ocean view. Lovely dining room, also with with superb view. Had the Bayside's version of a French 75 cocktail with dinner - and having had the real thing in the Hemmingway Bar at the Ritz Hotel in Paris, it compared very favourably ! For certain we will come again, and soon. Hint : be sure to request an 'Ocean Facing' room when booking, 3rd floor gives the best view.

Quiet area around the hotel and close to the highway for scenic drives. Easy access to many restaurants and the centre of the small city.
Access to Coombs which is a small centre with unique sites.
Close to Qualicum which also has beach frontage and a wide selection of choices for dining.

Nice little town, close to the Sea Edge Motel.
Nice little town, close to the Sea Edge Motel. They seem to have everything: fast food, great grocery stores, Dollar Store, Home Hardware, pubs, Mini Golf, nice restaurants and plenty to see in the area like Cameron Lake, Cathedral Grove, Qualicum Beach, and Coombs Market where the goats are on the roof!

Parksville is central to going up to the Comox Valley, or down towards Nanaimo, various golf courses, and beaches both in Parksville and up and down the island. If you are into the Artisan scene, there are so many spots to check out in Parksville and surrounding areas. If you enjoy nature walks there are many in this area.

Excellent place for families with young children.
Excellent place for families with young children. The beach is fantastic for finding shells and crabs, with loads of small tide pools. Swimming is the best in warm water. The community park is excellent area for children, with a water park beside it. Ample parking too.
The moment you walk in you feel at home. The room and even bathroom were thoroughly decorated. A big choice of cosmetics. The garden very well kept with numerous comfortable furniture. Breakfast was a 5 star hotel experience and extra plus to breakfast is enjoying The view of birds and squirrels feeling on the terrace. The owner is an extraordinary interesting person, very friendly and ready in any way she can Provident very useful information of all kinds. The accomodation is in quite area, the beach us 10 min walk away.
Our room had a lovely balcony overlooking the beach & boardwalk. Location was good but a fair walk to Arrowsmith Brewing. Bathroom was excellent & was the best of our recent stays in Vancouver Island. As we had not booked a separate restaurant we decided at the last minute to eat in the hotel restaurant & for some bizarre reason we received a complimentary meal but we had not given our name or room number, most strange. Also included free underground parking.
The gentleman who checked us in was one of the most charming hotel clerks I’ve ever met. And I’ve met lots! He was an absolute gem.
We weren’t happy with our first room bc it smelled like someone had been smoking in it. He moved us without question and agreed that it didn’t smell very good. The rooms were very clean, the beds were very comfortable and spacious. We all slept well. Would absolutely stay again.
As I write this review, I am dreaming of the amazing breakfasts prepared with such care by our host, Anneke. The pride that Anneke has in her beautiful home is shown by all the little details she puts into hosting her guests. Our accommodations were clean, cozy and comfortable and the location is secluded and quiet, but only 15 minutes from Parksville. Thank you again Anneke!
Jan’s property and hospitality were absolutely top notch. Even though we we’re visiting for work and on early morning and tight schedules, Jan was completely accommodating with breakfast and always a wonderful host. We had a fanstatic time and would absolutely stay again if up in the Parksville area.
Lovely location and our cabin was cozy, had everything we needed! Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Super pet friendly, lots of campers with dogs and they had a water dish etc set up ready at our cabin! The river was perfect for swimming while we were there in mid August.
Great location in Parksville; very walkable. Staff was helpful & super friendly. Overall, the room was clean. Parking was free and it was very easy to find a spot close to room. Nice little outdoor seating area with fire pits and BBQ. Enjoyed complimentary mini golf next door.
I loved everything, it's one of my favorite places to stay at in Parksville. So much to do. Can rent canoes, paddle boards, kayaks, and bikes. Have the hot tubs & indoor pool. I seen other reviews saying the rooms are paper thin for sound but it didn't bother us at all.
Super friendly staff; great restaurant that honours local food; nicely renovated rooms with beautiful views of Parksville beach. Clean and dog-friendly! Can’t beat it for the money.
You could bring a pet and there was a black dog in the counter, the beach was also wonderful. Plus this hotel has activities that are free, not like other hotels that have to pay.
Staff is very warm welcoming and courteous. Hotel is very clean. Rooms are good and comfy. Air conditioning in the room is good in these hot days. Location of Hotel is very nice.
Great value especially since it was pet friendly..really felt like a high end hotel...staff so helpful and friendly....and also an oceanside view...impressive
air conditioned, quiet, well located with good access to all facilities. will attempt to stay here whenever we visit parksville which is usually every year.
