This place was great! I absolutely loved it. It was built in 1912 so it’s got that old charm to it. It’s a gorgeous apartment rented as a hotel room. I much prefer this over just a plain room. The living room and kitchen were nice and gave us that extra room to hang out.
This Burnaby hotel is just a 10-minute walk from the Royal Oak Skytrain. Free WiFi is available throughout the hotel and a hot breakfast is served daily.

Cleaning and sanitation work is very good, there are a few good room attendants treat guests very friendly, but the front desk staff on the morning of the check-out day constantly knock on the door to harass the guest is very dissatisfied, from the beginning of the thought that it is the guest's fault did not call them to explain, and I have lived in many other countries around the hotel, according to the practice is the morning front desk call to ask whether you need to continue the stay or check out, and then the guest will tell the approximate check-out time, just quietly pack yourself and your luggage and then leave beautifully. The front desk supervisor and service staff here do not have basic courtesy to treat the guests who stayed for more than ten days, the accommodation fee is basically equivalent to the average salary of the local people for a month, and then get such a result, my first day of check-in time is about three o'clock in the afternoon and the check-out time is eleven o'clock in the morning, I am an hour late, there are no 7, 8 strangers knocking on the door will not be delayed for so long, I told each of them that it was half an hour to leave, I don't know if the hotel owner will have such treatment here, you should take a good look at your staff management level。
The brick buildings are beautiful. It's nice walking along the river, and dining beside it. Lots of history. A couple of good museums. There's live theatre. Queen's Park is a lovely park, with a rose garden.

I love New Westminster!
I love New Westminster! Is it a little bit gritty down on Columbia Street? Yes, a little but it's real. There's a multitude of eating choices, great coffee shops, lots of shopping choices (especially bridal and prom dresses) including the Quay which is lovely for a wander and some lunch! (Currently seem to be doing construction in the immediate vicinity so interested to see what that will add). There's still lots of old buildings which I love and a walk around Queens Park is lovely on a nice day too. There's more shopping up sixth street with even more of everything you might need. There's good transport with skytrain and buses (and lots of big hills so the option to jump on a bus up is lovely!) I highly recommend a good wander around New West, you are unlikely to be disappointed! My favourite places include Angelina's Dutch Corner in the Quay for lunch, the Arundel Mansions or The Met Hotel to stay and a long wander around Queens Park!

See Queen's Park and the surrounding old-style homes (as seen on X-Files and Stargate Universe).
The Fraser River Discovery Centre is excellent.
The New Westminster River Market and Quay is worth checking out.
There are some nice restaurants nearby including at New Westminster Skytrain Station the very family-friendly Old Spaghetti Factory which is also a great place to hang out while you are waiting to get into your accommodation.
The Samson V Museum was also fun to check out - it's a Steamboat from 1937 also to be found on the Quay.

The atmosphere of the city is good, and there are many restaurants from casual to high-class,so you can spend a comfortable time. Because there were few travelers, I was able to spend time in a calm atmosphere, and I felt that it was a safe area.

It is slowly getting revitalized.
It is slowly getting revitalized. There is an awesome boardwalk promenade one can walk along parallel to the river. Market and skytrain (Vancouver' Subway) has 3 stations in New Westminster. Downtown main street is oid looking but very slowly getting refreshed and lots of new residential towers being built.

We chose this area as it far more affordable than a more central location and we had a car, so parking was a consideration.
However Vancouver traffic is very busy , so getting to dwontown was a good 45 -60 minute drive. It was not so bad for tha day trip to Whistler though.
If you chose to stay here a car is essential.
There are a lot of Chinese restaurants and grocery stores in the area.

This hotel is a fine example of a boutique hotel. Old but facilities have been restored, passionate staff!! Hats off to you guys and gals at the desk. 3 busroutes stop right outside the front door. Columbia Skytrain station is directly next door. So backpackers and others using transit, nirvana. I spent a few days here, parking is a bit of an issue. Many quality eating places are close.
Excellent value for money and possibly the best a 2-star hotel can get. Very clean, recently renovated rooms. Staff is friendly and they offer free snacks and bottled water to guests. Rooms have microwave ovens and fridges and a TV that has a full set of Cable TV channels. Very quiet as I never heard any of the other guests from my room despite the room being next to the staircase.
Lovely Airbnb in New Westminster … 2 bedroom, 1 bath, private deck, everything you need in the kitchen including coffee and tea, beds are soo comfortable and literally a 10 minute walk to restaurants, park etc. And the best part is the daily rate is cheaper than a basic hotel room! The hosts are lovey! IKEA is 15 min away.
- Really cool elevator!
- Lots of personal and private space.
- Really well kept historical architecture inside!
- Surprisingly comfortable bed. Best hotel sleep I’ve had to be honest.
- Complimentary items (wine, earplugs, etc).
- Host offered to and took the time to show us the unit before we signed and paid the deposit.
It is not a standard hotel. I is a re-purposed vintage apartment building. The originality of the decor, elevator, hallways, kitchen and living space were brilliant. The bathroom and bedroom were more than modern enough to be comfortable. The value was excellent considering the great location for my visit.
The front desk Staff are amazing: efficient, kind and very helpfull. The hotel is located in a quiet and nice area with a few shops and restaurants in walking distance. Easy and fast public transportation to downtown Vancouver (45 minutes).
The view over the Quay and the river is fantastic, and the rooms are nice and cozy. Everything was easy to find and convenient. I especially appreciated that the hotel is right next to Angelina's Dutch restaurant, which has great breakfast.
Clean and comfortable with good service and amenities. Located near station, convenience store and good food. Ride easily to downtown or Metrotown, walk or ride to New Westminster station for groceries, pharmacy and other daily needs.
It's far from downtown Vancouver, but it's a calm and luxurious corner, and the view from the hotel is also great!
The hotel was also beautiful, it was quiet because there were no group travelers, and the staff was very kind.
Easy check-in and very quiet neighborhood. Very clean place. Had an extra bed which was a nice surprise. Bathroom had towels and shampoo, things you would only expect in a hotel so this was a nice touch.
Great accommodations. Very charming and very roomy. The complimentary bottle of wine was an added bonus. In a convenient location in New Westminster with Skytrain and many greay eateries nearby.
Hotel is very clean and our king room was very spacious and super clean. All the room amenities was great and perfectly presented. Was comfortable feeling it was a clean environment.
Good proximity to river, restaurants and a good grocery store.
Parking is easy and close to hotel. Airport access is easy and location is more interesting than an airport hotel.
In revitalized historic center of New Westminster, next to Columbia Skytrain station and waterfront promenades. Hotel appeared to be somewhat low-budget renovated.
beautiful room on the 6th floor, private parking (not free)& a wonderful view of New Westminster and the Fraser River. great restaurants within walking distance!
