Bed very comfortable, shower and toilet clean and functional. Quiet and private. Easy parking. Staff pleasant. Very well located for trip to Bilbao.
Located just across the River Nervión from Bilbao’s Guggenheim Museum, Hesperia Bilbao has an eye-catching coloured glass façade. Bilbao’s old town and city centre are 10 minutes’ walk away.

The location was great and the staff was very friendly.
Situated in Bilbao, 200 metres from Arriaga Theatre, Hotel Tayko Bilbao was built in 1924. The property is within just 0.2 km of Catedral de Santiago and 15 minutes' walk from Guggenheim Museum.

A great location for the old town. Well designed public areas. The hotel had a good atmosphere. It has a sensible balance between a boutique/designer type feel but being very practical and user friendly. Very friendly staff. Nice ground floor bar and breakfast room ( restaurant later on). Rooms are well designed. Reasonable sized bathroom. The breakfasts were very good with a bit of variety over the four days we were there.
Conveniently located in the Bilbao City Centre district of Bilbao, Sercotel Arenal Bilbao is set 100 metres from Arriaga Theatre, 300 metres from Catedral de Santiago and 100 metres from Casco Viejo...

Good location, close-by metro station, shops and caffes.
This innovatively designed hotel is very well located for exploring on foot all the main sights of the city, and is close to the river in the old part of central Bilbao.

Hotel is being refurbished and is in a very good location in the Casco Viejo.
This charming, Basque farmhouse has been carefully converted into an attractive, rural hotel, enjoying stunning panoramic views over the regional capital of Bilbao.

A fine hotel. My room was stylish, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The kettle was a nice touch. The buffet breakfast had a great selection of good food.
The hotel is at the top of a steep hill above the city. Great views and a country feel. Relying on public transport to get there, as I did, should not normally be a problem as Bilbobus A7 stops outside the hotel. Unfortunately at the time of my stay (April 2024) Bilbobuses were on indefinite weekday strike, which meant a taxi from central Bilbao or a walk from the nearest metro station - Deutsu. If walking, a free 24 hour cable car gets you from Deutsu to the hillside community of Arangoiti and the Berrizbidea path leads from there up to the hotel.
It’s really an awful place. I don’t see any good reason to stay there besides work commitments and/or the need to find a cheaper option than staying in Bilbao.
In the evening there’s no place around that offers food at normal times, they’re either closed or open only for drinking. I ended up at a Domino’s Pizza after a couple of wasted hours looking for a proper restaurant, on a Sunday evening.

The hotel was a short walk to the town centre and train...
The hotel was a short walk to the town centre and train station which has 3 trains an hour to Bilbao costing 3 euros 90 return and takes about 15 minutes. It is a very nice place with Lot's of bar's but very few shops and it was almost impossible to find somewhere to eat. I did find a Burger/Kebab /Pizza place but on a score of 1-10 I give it 1 and that's only because it was open.

What a beautiful and clean little town.
What a beautiful and clean little town. The railway station is like a little mansion and the staff there were so helpful in giving us help. The train ride into Bilbao was interesting and scenic. A little gem on our way back to UK.
Superb hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Free on site parking. Room was comfortable and clean. Hotel is easy to find and only a short walk to lovely town of Arrigorriaga. There we found some friendly bars offering excellent food and drink. The train is only 20 mins into the center of Bilbao.
What can I say? It is what it purports to be, a budget hotel. Very basic but served the purpose of a bed for the night after having just got off the Ferry.
Great location and only a 6 minute walk across the footbridge to town where there are plenty of restaurants.

Clean, comfortable and excellent value for money. I would particularly like to give a mention to the excellent Fish Restaurant which is located next to the hotel. Well worth a visit.
Staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel was clean as was the room. The bed was comfortable enough. Breakfast was nice, coffee, tea, boiled eggs, nice bread, jam, ham & cheese.
It's an Ibis Budget, it serves the needs for an odd night, it's cheap and cheerful.
The staff are always excellent in these hotels
The breakfast was great value for money
Good budget hotel, the most affordable within a large area. Clean and well kept, though a little outdated in some respects. Decent breakfast, kind and helpful staff.
