A very nice comfortable hotel for a stopover on route home. All amenities necessary in the room. Short walk into town which is quite buzzy, lots of Spanish families. A nice touch would be a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities in room. There is a bar for drinks and meals but can be quite busy as the hotel has lots of coach travellers.

Excellent spread for breakfast. Eggs cooked to order and the coffee is good. Very clean, spacious room, with some good additions such as x shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, combe etc. Great location and near (not too near)to the station. Which we used to ho to Granada.

Friendly Pueblo Blanco town that’s easy to move through on foot or in car. It’s a central location to so much in Andalucía within 2-3 hours in a car, so you can spend a day in busy hectic Seville or Cordoba and sleep in peaceful Antequera.

Very friendly town.
Very friendly town. Recommend a guided tour to include the dolmens - we booked a combination tour of walking the town, visiting a chapel and a short ride in a 'micro bus' to the dolmens.
Buy cakes and pastries from a convent. Spend an evening in Bar Lola next to Plaza Coso Viejo for excellent food, friendly service and great atmosphere.
Antequera is an easy 45-minute drive from Málaga airport, so it's a great place to spend a couple of nights before heading off to explore Andalucía. Lots of free parking.

Antequera is a pretty town with a big church and castle. Also, you can visit dolmens (in the town) and El Torcal hiking area (nearby, some 20km maybe). The town seemed cozy during workdays and quite busy on Saturday with many people cruising the streets.

Antequera is a beautiful place with loads of churches and elaborate buildings. I could have done with another day here at least. I also never got to sample the food so I will definitely need to come back.

A cosy town, not too small, not too large.
A cosy town, not too small, not too large. The megalithic burial tomb complex dating back to Neolithic- Bronze Age (Dolmen de Menga, Dolmen de Vieta) is within walking distance from city center. Our main reason to visit Antequera was to see these 5000-6000 years old burial tombs. We loved the city.

It’s a beautiful city! Very antiquated very medieval.
It’s a beautiful city! Very antiquated very medieval.
The downtown area was wonderful with many restaurants and shops and bars.
The castle and church on the hill were spectacular! The areas surrounding the city is unbelievably beautiful.
It was very cozy. It rained the whole time we were there so we couldn't enjoy the outside patio. The waterfall and fish pond were a nice touch, although the pond needed to be cleaned. I loved that they had tea available as well as shampoo and body wash. After a rainy, muddy, hiking day the washer was a nice perk. Outside the town there is the vast nature preserve of Torcal de Antequera which has dramatic limestone tower rock formations. There are easy walks or more challenging that one can take within the park.
Great location and despite speaking very little English they really did their best to help us and give us details for our visit, friendly and kind. We had a hire car and it was great to be able to book a parking spot in advance and so close to the hotel.
We read the reviews of this Hotel and decided to stay as it was in our budget, so despite it not being 4 star or where we would usually stay we got what we paid for.
Wow. only 5 star in the area. Rates were about €150. Indoor pool surrounded by big windows with steam, sauna, etc. Gardens and gorgeous unspoiled green mountain views. Heritage building several centuries old with archaeologically removed ORIGINAL wall paintings throughout the arcades and cloister, a subterranean crypt, the works. Magic venue don’t miss this. Incredible gourmet dinner experience as well.
We stayed in La Yedra for one night while on our road trip in Andalucia. We needed to be close to Park Torcal de Antequera for the next morning and La Yedra was a perfect choice. The hotel accepted our late arrival, and the restaurant was still open, even though it was nearly 10pm so we could have our evening meal. The room was what we needed, the beds were comfortable, and the staff was friendly.
Charming hotel a bit away from the town of Antequera but well worth the 30 min drive. Beautiful farmland around. Lovely area to be peaceful and quiet. But close to magnificent El Torcal for a day hike. Staff were all warm and extremely friendly and went out of their way to help us when we had car troubles. Breakfast was lovely and dinner was outstanding.
A lovely simple hotel without breakfast right in the middle of the main old area. Ideal for visiting the close by sights. Staff were friendly & helpful. There was a few issues with our room which we reported to the staff but as we were only there for one night it didn't matter. Parking arranged via the hotel is also very helpful
The staff was very friendly. The location was excellent, very close to all monuments of Antequera (alcazaba, iglesias. etc.).
We did not have breakfast booked but finally we had it in the restaurant of the hotel and it was delicious (molletes con jamón y tomate). The room was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and clean.
Lovely room's in a very nicely run hotel. Very comfortable and in a very good location. The owner, and staff are kind helpful and attentive. The restaurant at the hotel is popular with guests and local people, for good reason as it is well run and good value, with a nice menu. We would definitely stay here again for certain.
The location of the hotel is very good for visiting the dolmens and the city, which is only 4 minutes away by car.
the atmosphere of the hotel is quite nice, but the cafeteria/breakfast bar area is very noisy due to the large number of guests from the surrounding area. the best alternative is to use the terrace.
The room and car park was excellent but obviously it isn’t cheap. There are cheaper hotels in Antequera but most don’t have the car park option and if they have, normally their car park is a bit complicated In the sense of location and size.
It was the most beautiful property that we’ve ever seen on our trips to Spain! It was so well appointed in a 18th century style. Absolutely beautiful throughout the entire apartment. It’s huge too. There are all the amenities.
The views are amazing and the hotel is in a really good location if you are looking to be situated outside of Antequera. The building is also beautiful but perhaps needs a bit of maintenance done to it
The hotel staff were helpful and happy. The town is somewhere we will definitely visit again. Lovely place. Great little restaurants and super friendly people.
Great 3 star hotel in city center, very clean, very comfortable beds. They have a beautiful patio, smoking zone, breakfast is good ,free parking in 250 meters
Confortable Hotel. Close to the city center and close to the historic monuments such as the Megolithic Ruins.
The Hotel restaurant was also first class.
