We were lucky to be almost the only ones in the hotel. The reception was closed on the day we arrived, but self check in was very easy if you follow the instructions. The kitchen was well equipped. After reading other reviews I knew exactly what to expect and was not disappointed. Yes, the beds could have been more comfortable or longer (beds are not suited for very tall people of 2 m height), yes, the accommodation might be in need for some refreshing, but the price performance is great if you are in need for one night layover with family.
There was a bit of a trouble with self checkout, but the property was easily reachable with a call to sort the issue out.

The location of the hotel was surprisingly good. Very close to the food shop if does not want to eat at the restaurant. This was wintertime (february), så rooms were warm. Ok, old style radiators, but works good. Also bath in the bathroom. We came late and left early, so does not know about city or facilities around, but in room was TV and WiFi. In the morning breakfast was good. In the room coffeemaker. Good mattress. Free parking in the front of the hotel.

We stayed at Nystuen on our way to the Vestland Fjords and our only regret is that we did not stay longer! Place is beautiful, well furnished and very confortable, view is stunning, location is very peaceful... and our host was really nice and responsive!!! Thanks a lot

Everything. Amazing view to the mountains, a quiet place, close to the downtown (with car) and very clean. The apartment has actually everything you need: 2 comfy bedrooms, one large living room, a very good equipped kitchen (including a laundry washing machine) and a decent bathroom. It has a separate entrance which means that you don’t interact at all with the house owners.

The host made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Cosy, rustic hut with a nice common area with a fireplace. Tasty and filling breakfast with bread, various yoghurts, cereal, warm rolls, waffles and boiled eggs. Delicious coffee and juices. For dinner we had a lovely lasagne together with a fresh salad and home baked focaccia followed by a divine chocolate cake served with coffee. Dinner time was adjusted to fit our return from a longer hike - this was truly appreciated. Great service all way through. Can't wait to be back at a later occasion.
Lærdalsøren Motor Guesthouse is the perfect hotel for car and motorcycle tourists. The hotel is surrounded by fantastic driving roads deep in the Sognefjord.
