Everything from start to finish was great, the communication from Susie, answering all our questions. Lovely and clean accommodation, with outside seating for breakfast in the morning. We spent the night there while going to the Uttoxeter Races. The train station was 10 minutes stroll from the B&B which itself was in a lovely village setting. Then 1 train stop to the racecourse nice clean train on time not overcrowded, all in all a fab stay.

The property was very charming and the hosts were very accommodating for our late arrival and late check out. We had our dogs with us, which worked quite nicely. It was beautiful space with lovely attention to detail and it’s a place we would definitely go back to.

Tutbury is a really lovely place in very nice countryside.
Tutbury is a really lovely place in very nice countryside. The high street has retained its quite select features, is clean and well cared for. The hotel is central to the street. Not a place for retail therapy but one excellent antique centre in the old Chapel plus a few eateries and take-seats. Overall it is a lovely central place to stay.

Lovely little village, quiet but went in March.
Lovely little village, quiet but went in March. Castle not open but we had a pleasant walk around the village. There are a few shops for browsing.
The Courtyard cafe is worth a visit - had a lovely brunch there and the coffee was great!
the Hourglass is also recommended - light evening meals - had the veggie platter; very nice

Nice quaint village with plenty of character and history. Nice food at the Dog and Partridge, bit tricky to get to using the Satnav from Alton Towers but might have been my navigation! Will be visiting again soon.

Tutbury was a lovely friendly town with everything you needed within walking distance. Our favourite place was Ye Olde Dog and Partridge Hotel where we stayed overnight and ate and drank there also..

A lovely little town, and very quiet at night, until a poor lady with mental health issues kicked off in the street in the middle of the night. Looking back, I should have called 999, but someone did come along and calm her down.
A lovely historic building which still felt 'old' but had modern comforts.
Nice selection of beers.
Very clean, and a decent bathroom
Plenty of free parking.
So much nicer than a corporate 'chain' budget hotel. I had a meeting at JCB the following day, and they wanted to know if it was suitable for corporate guests...I said it would be if they wanted to give visitors a 'historic English experience, but it had to be accepted that 'old' meant old.
From the moment I walked through the door, until the moment I left the staff went above and beyond to make me welcome, and comfortable. They felt like family. I traveled alone and at no time felt uncomfortable. They may feed you a little too much! Food is beautiful!! My room and hotel clean and very spacious!! All staff Amazing what more could you ask for. Will visit again 5 stars *****
The Hotel itself was lovely with great characteristics and a very homely and comfortable feeling. Our room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were also lovely, cheerful and very helpful and the food was delicious. Breakfast was also lovely. Overall, highly recommend.
Very stylish and luxurious. Huge bed was so comfortable. Perfect location as guests at a wedding at Tutbury Castle which we could see from the house! Gorgeous toiletries. Sarah the host was a fabulous communicator. Do not hesitate to book this. Worth paying the price for.
Communication from Sarah was excellent throughout my entire stay. The cottage was spotlessly clean and exceptionally well appointed. Tutbury is a charming village, plenty of great options for food and drinks. Bonus points for for the local peacocks!
A beautiful and sympathetic refurbishment of this old property made it a pleasure to just walk into! Amazing to be overlooked by the atmospheric castle ruins and a superb location so close to all the facilities in Tutbury.
It was self contained which was a lot better than a hotel. It can be booked for one or two nights which was perfect for us. It allowed dogs which is a bonus
