Nothing, terrible hotel

The Embankment Hotel is in a beautiful location beside the River Ouse. Only a few minutes’ walk from the town centre, this riverside setting overlooks quiet gardens and a Victorian bridge.

Perfect location for the train into London. Easy to find and good parking. The staff were very welcoming and there was free bottled water in the room as well as a kettle and tea, coffee and biscuits. The room also had a mini fridge and hairdryer and access to an iron & ironing board. The adjoining restaurant looked lovely but unfortunately we already had plans so didn't have time to use it. The bed was clean and comfy.

The lady at the reception desk was very helpful. After arriving early for check in she explained how busy and full they were but managed to accommodate us, she was very polite and friendly. The room was a good size and had everything we needed.
