Caravan was exceptionally good and had all amenities..
Needs more info on parking facilities for guests. We managed to park across the road from the pub but weren't sure if we could park outside the rooms or not.
Breakfast was disappointing in the pub.
Wished we had had more time to check out the area but our ferry was delayed so we arrived late. To their credit the chef waiting for us to arrive so we could have an evening meal though.

The Anchor was clean and welcoming. the staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Food was tasty and freshly cooked. We did not bother to go anywhere else to eat.
It is a good location for exploring the area around Loch Lomond.

I enjoyed the road from Tarbet to Garelochhead and our stay at the Anchor Inn. The spot may not be the nicest but our evening/night was really nice staying at the Anchor Inn after a good walk in the Highlands.

Garelochhead is not a place you would think of as being suitable for tourism, but it is nice and quiet despite there being a naval base close by. It is ideally located for exploring the wonderful Scottish countryside.

At the tidal top of the loch, at beginning of village .
At the tidal top of the loch, at beginning of village .Local facilities all nearby, small shops, post office, hairdresser, variety of food outlets and Thriving Pub. Faslane naval base further along the road, no problem. Pretty views across to the hills.
Fantastic welcome from wonderfully friendly and attentive staff. Bar area is very stylish and comfortable. Had an evening meal that was excellent quality and value. My room was compact but very nicely decorated and comfortable. I was looking out on to back of hotel but it was quiet (November) and I didn't have any noise from beer garden. Comfortable bed with good bedding. Good electric shower. Fantastic cooked breakfast. Would definitely recommend.
We chose this place because of the location. Garelochhead is situated near Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, and also ideal to make walks arround Loch Long and Loch Goil.
The room was quite small, but quiet. We had breakfast and dinner in the Inn and it was ok.
The staff was very friendly and helpfull
The hotel did an excellent job in organising accommodation at short notice after another local hotel let me down at the last minute. The staff were also able to allocate a second night, after some amendments to their schedules. their efforts were very much appreciated.
Brilliant in every way. Was lovely to be out the way for a while to relax in peace and comfort. Very close to the water, a few takeaways in the area and ashtrays provided in the grounds for smokers. Very thoughtful hotel.
The hotel is located in a beautiful and quiet village on loch side, with beautiful views and landscapes, 20 minutes drive from loch Lomond, with a good restaurant and pub, with free street side parking.
Cheapest option we could find in the area. We booked it for the value and weren't disappointed, but don't expect anything of the hotel itself or the town. Decent hub for hiking trips nearby.
Great host!!!! He was very helpful and the view is very beautiful and I would highly recommend this hotel.
P s:- Don't forget to checkout the bar and the drinks are very reasonable, 😀
The location was fantastic.
The hotel cleanliness, cannot pick any faults at all.
The staff were so lovely and friendly.
100% worth the money paid, and would highly recommend.
