Great location, in the heart of Onomichi! Short walking distance to convenience stores, ramen restaurants and the famous Onomichi walking/shopping mall.
The staff were very kind and helpful, providing maps and places to rent bikes for the Shimanami Kaido.
The room was cosy, had Japanese TV and the beds were clean and comfortable.
I also enjoyed the humidifier/air purifier.
Great place to stay for people wanting to go cycling or try the famous Onomichi Ramen!

The breakfast was 2 pieces of bread, 2 pats of butter, and jam. and a toaster. There was a coffee maker. I would not call this a bed a breakfast.

Everything!! So so stylish and beautiful, but also so comfortable. The bed was amazing and we had a stunning view of the water. We didn’t end up being able to do the shimanami kaido but this would be a great spot to stop halfway for the night. The staff were absolutely fabulous and helpful. The food from the restaurant downstairs was incredible

Quaint little town - lots of small, independent shops. Feels like you are stepping back in time. Everyone we met was very friendly. Perfect base for starting the Shimanino cycle ride across nearby islands. Good bike hire at docks.

Onomichi is easily one of the best places I've ever been to. There is so much beautiful scenery and so many hidden gems to enjoy. The people are marvelous and the food is amazing. And of course the great many cats to be seen make for a truly magical experience

My favourite place is the observation deck on the top of the mountain, which has a great view. You can take beautiful pictures of this city. For food, Onomichi Ramen is fatty for me, but there are other restaurants in city which have their own specialties. A city walk is recommended, since there are a lot of temples on the mountain, and you need to get there on foot, and explore their beauty. I will prepare a better shoes for the next trip and bring less item with me next time, because the tour on in the city requires a lot of physical strength.

For many Onomichi is the start of the Shimanami Kaido cycle route, but Onomichi has enough attractions that it is worth staying at least one day to look around. The Temple Walk is worth viewing the 25 temples along the route and the view from the top is great, and Cat Alley is great fun. A walk along the pier and having a snack or meal at one of the restaurants there is pleasant.

Onomichi is a nice seaside, port town and has a good vibe.
Onomichi is a nice seaside, port town and has a good vibe. Its the start, or end, of the Shimanami Kaido and attracts many people keen to do this cycling route. The town has a nice atmosphere as the people are friendly, helpful and accommodating. If I was keen I'd stay an extra day amd do the temple walking route as it seemed nice and went into the hills above town. Local ramen was demand served by super friendly hosts in the restaurants.

If you want to cycle the Shimanami Kaidou, be s7re to arrive early in Onomichi, since you are able to visit the main attractions, being Senkou-ji and the old temple course, in a few hours. After this you should be able to start cycling the Shimanami Kaidou.
We had a very nice stay at the Guest House, the host was friendly and gave us some recommendations for restaurants and activities. Our room was cosy with a beautiful harbour view, the futons beds comfortable and the facilities clean.
The house is very central to shops, activities and the sea (there are ferries to go to the islands where you can bike the Shimanami Kaido), and it is situated at less than 5min walk from the Onomichi station. What else to ask !
Yubune is in a fantastic location, right near the waterfront, and close to great cafes. It was the perfect stop for us overnight whilst rising the Shimanami Kaido.
Beautiful building, lovely modern Japanese decor, large room that stored our three bikes easily.
Hotel staff were lovely and helpful, and the breakfast included at a local restaurant was excellent quality! would definitely stay here again, and next time try the onsen.
Beautiful view of the Onomichi harbor and you can watch sunrise from the main bedroom. It is also a charming traditional Japanese house that has been repurposed as a guest house with a lovely simple garden, reuse of traditional tiles and you can enjoy seeing the beautiful original beams in the ceiling. It was also very comfortable temperature and the chairs and beds and towels and plates, cups, bowls all great quality.
I enjoyed the reception and welcome at check in. The place is an old traditional Japanese place, but it’s been kept very nice and clean and the facilities like bathrooms are all renovated. There is a very nice lounge and kitchen. There are tea and coffee, self service.
It’s almost in front of the ferry port, and in walking distance (~10 minutes) to Kousanji (temple) and the hill of hope.
Excellent property in a small, quaint but upscale area. The room had a Japanese style in appearance but had western comforts (a western style and sized bed, a table you could sit at, etc). Out of the four weeks we stayed in Japan this was one of the best properties we stayed at (we were a couple with a three year old). We highly recommend this property.
Great location at the end of Onomichi's long shopping street. The bed itself was very comfortable, though of you're a bigger person like I am, you might want a lower bunk, as the stairs to the top are kind of narrow. Izakaya downstairs is phenomenal, and common room is comfortable. Bathrooms were clean with nice toilets. Staff was kind and welcoming.
The building is really nice, made of wood and feels very organic and open, with lots of character. Bunks are big with generous curtains so there's plenty of privacy. The shared space is cozy and nice as well. The host was very friendly, as were other guests, and it was an easy place to socialize. It's also very centrally located in Onomichi.
Our stay in Onomichi View Hotel Seize was great! We only stayed for a night but everything was great! The staff are very friendly and helpful! They picked us up and brought us back to the train station! The view from the room is amazing! Nice quiet neighborhood close to sightseeing places! Would definitely come back :)
The house where the hotel is located is so special! That was a really amazing experience, even if the beds are a bit hard (but overall still good!) its really cool!
The area is very central, so its very convenient. Super simple check in, nice people stay there too!
One of the most stunning views I ever had in a hotel room. Waking up with this amazing landscape at your feet was truly breath taking and worth every penny. Staff was very nice and helpful, breakfast(tradition japanese) also was very good and price-worthy.
Liked the traditional Japanese house feel with tatami mats and steep stairs. The hosts were very friendly and even provided restaurant and attraction suggestions, as well as tips for luggage forwarding and renting a bike for the Shimanami Kaido.
Excellent location for family riding bikes on Shimanami Kaido. Small but comfortable room with bunk style beds. Shared bathroom but ok as only 3 rooms. Host very helpful. Not a traditional hotel but very good for our requirements (family of 4).
Very clean, great Location right in the middle of the shimanami Road, very close to a conbini and an onsen.
They also have washin machines (5. The max i saw in Japan was 2 for one hotel), and bycicle tuning equipment.
The view from my room was the best. The location of the hotel is amazing, less than 5 minutes walk to the station. In walking distance to landmarks, onomichi traditional market, and the sea.
