Location and price. If you are on a budget and wants to stay close to the bahnhof in Aachen this is very good. We did not use the dorm and choose our own room with private bathroom.
We tried the breakfast and for the price it was ok. But the corridor to the breakfast room was very dusty.
App check in and payment is good in theory but DONT use it. See below.

I really liked the accommodation - comfort, clean etc.
I really liked the accommodation - comfort, clean etc. The good thing about Stolberg were the very helpful friendly taxis. The town itself is quite run down and the train station has no wifi so I had to ask someone else to call a taxi. The train lines were being repaired so there was a replacement bus service which was OK, but running late which meant the long wait at Duren train station as we missed the train due to the bus running late.

A wonderful old town, which grew up around the copper/bronze...
A wonderful old town, which grew up around the copper/bronze industry, using hydopower. The old town centres on the oft-rebuilt castle, which hosts concerts, etc. The floods of July 2021 devastated the town, which is slowly rebuilding itself. Around the town, there are many forests for walks. And a 40-minute direct bus ride to Aachen. There are sufficient bars, restaurants, bakeries, food stores, etc.JudithLuxembourg
