We were a party of 4 staying in 3 separate rooms, for one night. The rooms were all spotlessly clean and freshly decorated.
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
After check out, we had a 5 hour wait before our train to Dusseldorf Airport. The staff were more than willing to store our suitcases until we needed then, for onward travel, which was very helpful.

The reception lady gave us directions to local restaurants.
Educated us on how to ask for our stake 'well done' in German.

The location was very central near shops, restaurants, historical places and buildings. Rich in history. Breakfast was ok, nothing to write home about.

A charming pictoresque town with very friendly people.
A charming pictoresque town with very friendly people. We had a delicious dinner in a brewery and by coincidence managed to go to a concert in a church.
Also the thermal spa in a neighbouring town is certainly worthy of a visit.

Soest was a lovely town to stay in and explore.
Soest was a lovely town to stay in and explore. Enjoyed the walk around the tree-lined historic city wall, the pedestrian-only shopping streets, the churches, and the central plaza was a perfect place to stop for a beer.

Our visit was sort of a coincidence - we came for a long hike in the Möhnesee forest but hadn't found a suitable overnight stay there. Thus I tried Soest (and had to check the pronunciation - "Sohst" and not "Suhst" or "Söhst"). We were very pleasantly surprised by this old Hanse town!

We visit friends in Soest but always take the opportunity to have a walk around the city walls and into the centre. Its a nice picturesque old town with very good shops, restaurants and cafes.
We ate in the Pilgrim Haus hotel restaurant which is excellent and also the town centre cafe near the pond.
You can walk everywhere within the centre, Soest is not that big.

Soest is very beautiful town when we were staying in City Motel Soest we notice that preparation were made for Christmas Market.
It's easy to get around Soest plenty of bars restaurants and historical
architectural buildings of interest.
We checked in late in the evening when there was no staff but the automatic check-in was smooth. The room was clean and ready. As I have stayed in this hotel before, they remembered my previous request and had provided it already in the room. City Motel is an excellent, budget place to stay in Soest. You can park your car directly in front of your room in most cases.
absolutely nothing, it was the worst hotel I have ever stayed my entire life.
The receptionist, it was a very very rude woman, not even let me talk, she just hang up the phone 🤦♀️
All I wanted was a blanket, because it was very cold and we were 2 people and only one blanket, and she just told me that she is too busy and simply hang up the phone 😕😤
We stayed at the house of Manuela for one month. Great place, feel like our own home, very guide. You can have your dinner at the garden as well. Kitchen is fully equipped. Manuela and his partner is very friendly and hospitable. After one month, we feel like that we have life-long friends at Soest. Highly recommended.
Its a clean hotel, good warm shower, proper bed, decent walk to city center
If you want decent comfort for decent prices and you willing to walk a bit this hotel is perfect.
At night there is not much noise, free parking for guests of the motel.
Been there twice now, perfect for my type of breakouts :)
A hotell in an ancient, very pretty building. The room was a bit outdated but very clean and nice. We had a good evening meal in the cosy beargarden.
The staff were really friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast.
A very short walk to the city center.
Great breakfast, pleasant room, with good selection of pillows. I've eaten at the restaurant on previous visits and it's also good. Directly on the old city wall which is great for a walk or a 3-4 km run around Soest.
The entire hotel was impeccably clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet was the best I’ve ever seen. I will be sure to visit here again when I’m in Germany.
The hotel is close to the railway station, and some 10-15 mins walk to city center. The hotel is very modern and clean, good size of room and bath. Very good breakfast (see comment below).
Wonderful Place with Amazing hostess. Clean modern and amazing rooms. Great location near train station and Soest. Great breakfast. Highly recommended for families.
Convenient location when returning from Brittany, France to Poland. An interesting area, the city of Soest is very charming. The place is clean, neat, accessible.
