I didn't have much time, just two days. Would say that that's not enough to experience all the great things it has to offer. On my final night in the Sunset Hostel I met Samuel, host and nature guide. Apart from being a great and fun guy with tons of energy, he gave me all the tips I needed for my stay on the peninsula. And for eating out in town. Made my stay! Would have loved to go on a tour with him, from the stories he told. Also had a great experience swimming with whale sharks through Hamza of Baja Wild Adventures..Highly recommended too! Love La Paz and will return for sure

I live here part time so ... a little different angle than a visitor. This spot is actually right in front of my house (which I had rented out thinking we would be out of town) I love it, it's down a ways and quieter , closer to the nice beaches. However, you will want a car or ride share to get around and get stuff. There is an Oxxo and abbarotes store up the hill for basics. But those who want to get out and walk to restaurants and the malecon might want to stay elsewhere. It's an awesome walk to the malecon but not for everyone, a mile down (and back up) a steep hill. Lots of decent restaurants around, the one closest to here would be El Molinito and a great place for breakfast would be Vrentino in the Hotel El Moro. Many love the drinks and you can even pick up fruit at Cocos y Pinas Locas .

La Pazis a low-rise city with the cathedral and a few hotels poking their heads up.
It is definitely not Cabo, and that’s the way the locals like it and why we liked it. Mexico in general isn’t the bargain it used to be—where is?—but as Canadians it compared with prices at home.
We visited El Coromuel beach twice. Balandra post Covid has rules governing the number of people and Tecolote is a challenge to get to if like us you don’t have a car. But Ubers are real cheap.
A shout out to Allende Books, an English language bookstore where the attentive Sylvie is happy to chat. We even played and sang with a group of geezer guitarists who meet every Saturday at 1pm. Very welcoming group 😄
The fact that it’s difficult to get to with no Canadian airlines flying in meant we had to absorb the extra expense of hiring a car and driver from Day Trip. But it was worth it to have met Jose who could not have been more courteous and informative. Through him we were so fortunate to attend an amazing choir concert in the cathedral. Never to be forgotten.
Despite the challenge of getting there, we loved the place and the people. We are already planning to return, this time for a bit longer.

Stayed in L.P. in February during the Carnival: lots of people, entertainment/music and all types of food sold along the length of Malecon every evening. Felt very safe anywhere I went.
Daily excursions to Balandra/El Tecolote and hiking the surrounding hills were a highlight.
Temperatures in mid 20s C; water in the ocean pleasant enough to enjoy a swim.

Vibrant seaside city in Baja Sur - with a low key atmosphere and a multitude of options for dining, entertainment and outdoor activities. A complete respite from Cabo and a much more authentic taste of Mexico. The waterfront malecon is the focus of the community and offers exceptional views (and sunsets) while the city and old town offer much to explore.
Beautiful beaches and numerous watersports to take advantage of in the immediate area. A great base for world class snorkeling/diving, wildlife (whales, whale sharks, sea lions) and adventure (hiking, sand boarding, ATV's, etc.)

La Paz was a really pleasant surprise.
La Paz was a really pleasant surprise. I hadn't done too much research before our travels, but found everything about the city to be simply delightful. The Malecon is amazing, and there seems to be some really interesting food, drink, art, music and culture for everyone - not just tourists. We really loved the energy of the whole town - with beautiful pristine beaches and amazing desert landscapes just a few minutes (by car!) away. We can't wait to come back.
We stayed three nights at Adventure Inn La Paz, and really enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and WiFi was good and consistent. We parked our car on the street, which was free and safe. The location is great; on a quiet street, close to a supermarket and only 5 minutes walking to the malecon. The host was super responsive and accommodating. If we will ever return to La Paz, we will definitely stay here again!
I like this hotel because of its close locaton to the bus station, so getting the shuttle to the Los Cabos airport is an easy walk to the bus station. Also it is a couple of blocks up from the malecon, so quieter than being right on the malecon. The restaurant is very good. Had a great fish dinner. Staff is courteous and helpful. Rooms spacious and clean. I've stayed here 2 or 3 times in the past and will surely do so again.
This was our second time staying at this hotel this year. We came in January of this year, which was just right after they had opened. We came back because the room was spacious and very comfortable, and the facility was beautifully designed. I love the pool and lounge area as well. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful place in La Paz, this is a good place to stay.
This hotel is just lovely, and we couldn't have been happier with our stay. It's centrally located in the middle of all the seaside activity in La Paz and yet a quiet, clean refuge once you walk into the courtyard/lobby. We got a two bedroom suite which was actually on three floors, which was a nice surprise. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting La Paz.
We loved this place and had an amazing week in La Paz. Leo's place was a welcome oasis in the city. It was a safe and convenient walk into the city center and to the Malecon. Leo was a wonderful host, offering excellent suggestions for excursions and restaurants. Again, it was an unforgettable experience! We will be back.
Loved the location of the property. The front desk service was exceptional! The main lady at front desk was very helpful and knowledgable. She helped us book a tour and our covid test. I’m so glad I chose this hotel to stay in La Paz. The overall service from restaurant to bartenders was also superb.
Everything ran smoothly from check-in to check-out and the manager/volunteers were very helpful when needed. There was a small issue during my stay which was handled well by the team and I’d be happy to stay there again if I came back to La Paz. The taco stand out the back is a massive plus!
Rosario was the real surprise. She was there to great us, give us keys, arrange for car rental parking and help us with any questions we had about the area, shopping and restaurants. We can’t thank her enough for helping and guiding us through our La Paz trip. Thank you so much ♥️
The hotel is clean and new, located very centrally in La Paz. Be aware though that La Paz is a big city, so you definitively need a car to move around. Rooms are basic, bathroom is small, but works fine for a short stay. Breakfast is basic as well, but will do. Excellent wifi.
The location was decent but not beachfront as described in the ad. The bed was comfy and the kitchen was well equipped. The bathroom fixtures worked but were all loose and/or falling off the wall. Everything looked pretty but not everything worked well.
The sea view (Right in front of the sea, just across the Malecon of La Paz), and the recent refurbishment of the room. We appreciated 2 bottles of water every day complimentary.
We liked the kitchen area with fridge and cooking plates.
The hotel is located right on the Malecon, my room was large, clean, air-conditioned with a spacious bathroom and a balcony. All very nice and secure with 24 hour reception and a restaurant on-site.
Location, close to everything that you want to do in La Paz. Didn't have to cab/uber anywhere.
The rooftop bar/restaurant has an unparalleled view of the sunset each night.
We like staying here when we visit La Paz. The hotel is clean, the location is excellent, the staff is courteous and helpful and the included breakfast is excellent.
