It was all lovely - from staff, restaurant/bar, leisure club & spa. The scenery from the room was great! It was for a birthday, and they gave us a champagne in the room and sweet decorations. We had a relaxing stay.

It's a pretty town and at one end of a walking/cycling Greenway with Athlone at the other end (about 46kms). I could definitely see taking my bike on the train from home to Athlone, biking the Greenway, taking a day or two to visit Mullingar, then the return trip to Athlone and home.

Mullingar is a very lively & musical town - always musical events going on. I was meeting an old friend for carvery lunch in Bloomfield. Although we dined at 12.15, the food was only warm, not hot! Dining situation was in the bar/lounge with beautiful view of lake & very comfortable seating. Serving staff extremely pleasant.
Mullingar is very easy to get around - fairly compact, but own car necessary. Plenty of parking available.
Next time I would demand to view my room before payment to make certain that I was not dumped in a childrens' room! There are other hotels.

I am from Mullingar so can highly recommend it.
I am from Mullingar so can highly recommend it. Lovely shops, bars and restaurants, beautiful scenery and friendly people. Lots to do in the surrounding areas. Easy access to motorways, public transport to Dublin. Close to lovely lakes and stately homes.
Stayed at Keyfield House for the last few days. We were given a warm welcome by Phyllis and appreciated the quiet house as we'd just flown in to Ireland. The room we were provided was just so comfortable and we had beautiful views through all our windows. Enda is a great host, the house feels like a lovely home away from home.
P.S: We enjoyed the beautiful continental breakfast with fresh fruit. Thank you Enda for the wonderful effort.
Excellent hotel the grounds and views fantastic the staff amazing.
The rooms are great beds comfy amenities are everything you need
The food is excellent and service is great.
I'm in the trade and I couldn't fault one thing.
Cost wise I was very surprised it's not as expensive as most four star hotels of lower quality.
Really can't recommend the Bloomfield high enough it's fantastic in every way
Cycling the green way from maynooth
The cycle shed was great to park our bikes
The staff were very friendly and helpful
Great location right in the center of the town
It was a shame the weather was bad when we stayed
Mullingar is a bustling town to visit right beside the old rail line and we used the train one the return journey. There too staff members were more than helpful .
Felt homely & welcoming. Food great & staff friendly. Looking forward to returning for rest & relaxation. Good location & broke the journey to Dublin. The fact that Mullingar Town's Park is adjacent to Hotel is a great asset & lovely to go for a stroll (weather permitting) after a big feed 😀 . That's it!
Room was nice and clean and so was the en suite.
Breakfast the next morning was very good and cooked fresh for us. Better than most hotels. The location was perfect, right in the town center and had enough parking for residents. Was very happy with my stay there.
We loved everything about our stay in the Bloomfield. My partner Hugh's and I got engaged down by the lake it was wonderful. Both of us loved our little trip to the Bloomfield Hotel we hope to have our wedding there also
