Had an amazing stay at Kon Tiki . Had previously read comments so knew to take face cloths and ear plugs. Although a nightclub next door and a roof top bar could not hear any noise .Staff were exceptionally friendly and very helpful with booking taxis . They all had reasonable English which was fantastic as we didn’t speak any french. Stayed in a studio with two single beds and a pull out couch all very comfortable and the most amazing shower. Was very central to shops and restaurants and across the road from the ferry terminal.

This place was perfect. Very clean, spacious, great views, safe and secure and had everything you would ever need. The hospital from Joy (the host of the property) was absolutely phenomenal and extremely helpful.

Leili Home is a very comfortable and well located apartment perfect for a short or long stay in Papeete. It had everything we needed, was tastefully furnished, well appointed and so close to restaurants, the supermarket and an easy walk into the main part of town. The host was incredibly friendly, helpful and responsive and for a small fee even drove us to the airport for our late night flight. Best of all the apartment was exceptional value for money. Would definitely stay here again.

Papeete is a lovely town. If you stay there be sure to book a room at a reputable hotel. We unfortunately booked a 3 Star Air B&B that was disgusting. Fortunately because of late arrival of our flight we only to spend one night at this site rather than 2 that were booked. Papeete at first glance could be a nice place to stay. Warm weather, good food and drinks. Seafront promenade is just gorgeous. But a lot of homeless people and dogs are as decay for the city. Well, some of the US cities like Phili are the same...

The French influence in Tahiti is everywhere and I loved it.
The French influence in Tahiti is everywhere and I loved it. Food is amazing, I had great meals out and the Carrefour supermarkets are better stocked than my local supermarkets here in the UK. I just liked the vibe. There are lots of places to eat and drink, decent shopping to be had and I liked the people. The port where you can catch boats to other islands is in town too!

I loved the fresh pastries - especially the bread sticks I found finding a place in town was better for us, as the cost for taxi's was very pricey. Little to do in the city aside from shopping. That all stops on Sundays entirely, and largely disappears on Saturday afternoons too. Public transport is almost impossible, not helped by the website or the tourism office. We stayed in the new extension and although basic it is exceptionally clean and comfortable. The location is ideal with walking access to central Papette, the marina and Champion supermarket. Their airport shuttle is a great service that is very well organised. The new restaurant/bar has a great atmosphere. Location is close proximity to Papeete and the airport but you do have to drive up and down the steep hill every day back and forth. Would definitely stay here again!
