The hotel is called Palazzo Pascal Luxury Experience and it is all about luxury. Our room was beautiful and clean. The terrace was amazing and we were given a complimentary bottle of bubbles to enjoy on the terrace. We loved our bath tubes and slippers and the lovely quality toiletries. We will definitely be back.

The location is amazing with probably some of the best views on the Amalfi coast including the rocks, sea and the picturesque Ravello hill. In addition to that the design combines in a very balanced way the authenticity of traditional Italian buildings (visible rocks on the room ceiling) with a modern clean look. The host (Imma) is extremely kind, helpful and nice while the breakfasts were rich and tasteful accompanied by that astonishing view. There are some stairs to climb (about 150) to get from the street to the location but that good effort is so worth it both for your health and for the reward you are getting for staying in this beautiful place.
Featuring a garden and a terrace with views of the sea and the Amalfi coast, Guest House Malu offers classic accommodation in Scala.

The accommodation and the host were very great. The host is very accessible and willing to help. The problem is getting there from the airport. In general, the movements along the Amalfi Coast are terrible. Taxis are outrageously expensive, buses don't stick to timetables, most are overcrowded, roads are narrow and very busy. After settling in, we took scooters, the only means of transportation to get around the coast. We recommend this accommodation, but in general take your time to get around if you're staying on the coast.
Set in Scala and only 1.4 km from Marina Grande Beach, Amalfi Sea View offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking.

View was amazing, it was quiet, and good walking distance to a handful of bars and restaurants. Facilities were perfect for our stay. Excellent walking shower as well! Also good parking, which felt safe.
Fly to Naples International Airport, then take a 60km drive to Scala, Italy. Alternatively, for domestic travellers, take a direct train to Salerno, followed by a 25km drive. No direct water transport available.
The most convenient airport for Scala, Italy is Naples International Airport, due to its proximity (approximately 60km) and frequent domestic and international flights. It offers easy access to Scala via public transport or car hire.

Scala is lovely and Ravello walkable If you are fit.
Scala is lovely and Ravello walkable If you are fit. The bus service to Amalfi and Ravello could be a little erratic. Having a car is more of a hinderance than a help. Restaurants and cafes are available. San Lorenzo Cathedral is worth a visit. They still use mules to deliver goods etc in the village. A very quaint town

There is only 1 restaurant and a pizzaria in the village.
There is only 1 restaurant and a pizzaria in the village. The shops are very basic but you should be able to get most things if you self-cater. It is easy to get to Ravello by bus (tickets must be purchased in advance from the "card shop"). Ideally you need your own transport as the terrain is very hilly. It is expensive to get to and from the airport by taxi.

Great little town, quite and off the busy Amalfi coast towns with a nice view. Having a car really helped. There was a great restaurant within a 20 minute walk of our B&B. You need to be in good shape to walk around, as very hilly.

Scala is quiet, authentic and charming, with beautiful views of Ravello and the Amalfi coast everywhere you go. There are a few decent café and restaurant options, mostly in the town center. This is a steep mountain village so having a car to go up and down the switchback slopes is highly recommended. Finding parking in the small town center was never an issue, not even in the middle of July.

Scala is a small, unspoilt town with several bars and restaurants on the main road. Further restaurants are dotted through the town, Zio Peppe was a great find up in the hills and Il Pinguino serve great food. Da Pietro snack bar in the town square has great views across the gorge and serves the best Aperol spritz.
If you want to explore further there is a great picnic area at Parco Paradiso, hidden high up in the hills, where you can bring your own food to cook on wood burning grills and pizza ovens with nothing but the sound of nature.
There is a regular bus service to Ravello and Amalfi and also a walking route down to Amalfi.
Parking spaces marked with blue are pay-parking.

Higher up the hill.
Higher up the hill. Little village with view at Ravello and the Amalfi Coast, enjoy living between the locals. Just at walking distance you find Restaurants serve local dishes. We eat at Ristorante Il Pinguino, delicious dishes and pizza. In the morning we took the dog for a walk and met the donkeys in the narrow alleys op hill where you find a beautiful view over the coastline.
I loved everything about my stay. The property was situated among the iconic terraced gardens of the Amalfi Coast, offered an amazing view of the sea and of Ravello, included a relaxing outdoor area, and was a short walk to the center of Scala. The place felt like home- it had everything that I needed, and the hosts went out of their way to make me and my dogs feel comfortable and welcome. They helped me navigate the Amalfi Coast and the things it has to offer. They truly made the stay a special one.
The most amazing staff we have ever had at any hotel/home we have stayed in. Lidia took care of our every need, every single day, and the pool and restaurant staff were polite, super funny and incredibly service minded. The whole thing felt like staying with the most accommodating family and I recommend it dearly and sincerely to anyone who wants to stay with the nicest people in the Amalfi coast, and not feel like you are being treated like any other tourists. 10/10 stars!!!
The room was not corespondent to the pictures added on booking, our room was small and the bathroom was very uncomfortable. After talking to the staff to change room and even pay more there was no possibility because it was fully booked. We are convinced that the pictures showcased on booking are from hotel villa giuseppe as well as the swimming pool that located at villa giuseppe. The bed is very uncomfortable too, meaning you feel the bed suspensions in your back.
Amazing! If we ever go back we will go back to the same hotel for sure. Staff is amazing, sharing helpful information regarding transportation/ restaurants, we had an amazing room, overviewing Ravello, had breakfast on our balcony. Everyone was super friendly and the hotel is great. You can get taxi or bus that stops in front of the hotel to check out the other towns near by. Comfy beds, very clean, amazing views :) Thank you
Room is huge and modern, with ceramic decor typical of Amalfi Coast. Bathroom is big and modern with a spacious shower. Bed is really comfortable.
The hotel is nice and staff is hepfull and very gentle. Rooms have a balcony with a breathtaking view of the Amalfi gulf you hardly find in other accomodations. Same view is available in the breakfast area of the hotel.
Breakfast has a nice selection of both sweet and savory food.
Luigi was very solicitous and had great suggestions for restaurants and cafes. The Scala location was gorgeous and the room was tastefully decorated. I loved the terrace overlooking Ravello and spent time there. My husband was thrilled that there was a washing machine and he could leave Scala with clean clothes. The room was equipped with a stove and I could make tea.
I loved how non-touristic Scala was.
What a beautiful location !!! It’s really a 10, the location is great with parking slots in front of the Hotel (5€/day). Antonio and his family are flawlessly making sure your stay is amazing. The facilities are pleasant and beautifully designed / the swimming pool is good. Finally, the homemade breakfast prepared by Antonio’s mother & wife is great as well. Definitely a gem !!!
The owner was very sweet to pick me up from Amalfi since he knew I was pregnant and had heavy stuff, really well concerning. Breakfast was amazing, the only thing in general, in Amalfi, Ravello e Scala is there is barely public transport, so be aware to arrange a taxi and also be aware you will pay around €50,- to go from amalfi to scala.
Antonio and his family were incredibly kind and hospitable. They went above and beyond to make sure all our needs/desires were met, and were very gracious. The breakfast was a feast, and the coffee unlike any other. This hotel also offered the best views of our entire stay in Amalfi. We will definitely be back!
Beautiful hotel/property with impressive attention to detail. The staff are amazing. They are all extremely helpful and friendly. Amazing breakfast and exceptional on-site restaurant.
You can hike down to Amalfi (45-60 min), over to Ravello (30-45 min), as well as to other nearby towns.
Fantastic place! We absolutely loved it - the views are incredible, the location was great, the pool area was lovely, and the staff are always happy to help. A perfect stay for someone who is looking for an authentic, Italian family-owned hotel on the Amalfi coast.
The Hotel is Beautiful ❤️ , the staff very helpful and Friendly , the hotel is very clean , in a quiet area , a beautiful small village In top of Amalfi
The little Plus is : for the courageous one , there is a stairs going down from the Hotel to Amalfi .
Lovely, quiet place to stay. The beds were comfortable. The room and bathroom were a good size and clean. I loved the fact there was a balcony. I was pleased that we were staying up at Scala rather than with the masses of tourists at Amalfi.
Clean rooms, very nice service. Hotel owner Katya is very very helpful. Quite place, magnificent view and delicious breakfast with fascinating view. Freshly baked cakes , pies daily !
Owner also organized parking.
The sympathy of Carla our host, clean and comfortable accommodation (the jacuzzi too) and parking is most welcome on Amalfi coast. Scala/Ravello is very well situated in the middle of Amalfi coast main attractions.
The location is perfect, coupled with amazing staff at the restaurant and Walter is the best. They treated us like family and made our time in Scala special and memorable. The food is exceptional!!!
We were told and guaranteed by email that the pool would be ready and it was not and we only stayed one night instead of three and therefore we would like two nights refunded
The view from the balcony was stunning! The bus is easily accessible from the hotel (5 minute walk) and everything was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend :)
