Beautiful building and very helpful staff. Amazing town and stunning views. It was my birthday and although we didn't tell the hotel there was some prosecco and a note left in our room. Bags were carried for us and helpful recommendation for restaurant.

The location is unbeatable! The hotel is right by the water, there is no other hotel like this on this long coastline. The hotel had a huge private beach, the sea had the most beautiful turquoise colour. We loved the food in the restaurant we ate there every lunch and dinner. Our hotel room had a balcony looking right on the sea.
Hotel Martino offers stunning views over the Policastro Gulf, a heated indoor pool, and free lobby Wi-Fi. The seaside and the private beach are a 10 minute's walk away. Parking is free.

It was in a superb location, the property was exceptionally picturesque, it was particularly serene and beautiful- a pleasure to sit outside on the balcony in the evening and enjoy the atmosphere.

Stunning location. Very off the beaten track for foreign travellers but if you are around that area would recommend staying in an instant. Very friendly staff who catered for anything we asked for, good rooms, excellent breakfast and the pool area is absolutely incredible.
Maratea is a dream destination. A tiny lovely village up in the mountains, stunning beaches and the charm of countryside in between. Safe, welcoming, affordable. Suitable for families and teenagers, there are plenty of boat excursions and water sport facilities so one doesn’t get bored. Social but not too crowded. Will definitely come back!
Just careful, it’s vertical so distances seem to be much bigger and a car/bus is often necessary

Spread over a wide area on a dizzying hill side you need a vehicle to enjoy it fully. Our experience was marred by an occlusion that kept the sun away the whole time. The main centre up a winding road was plagued with cars even in the pedestrian zone. There was nothing special to see. The beach in Fuimicello is grey shingle neither comfortable nor welcoming although there is one convenient hotel bar to enjoy. The statue on the hillside appeared occasionally through the gloom.

Very nice small town, geared towards tourism, set on a stunning landscape, between the sea and spectacular mountains. We only had a walk around as we wanted to spend our time on the beach. However we stopped at Pasticceria Panza to taste their bocconotti: delicious!

It is preferable that you take a car, but if you don’t mind waiting the local bus service is regular and you can obtain a local taxi.
Remember it is Italy and Sundays can be difficult on public transport.

It was a surprise how Maratea is split into different sections the actual town is 5 km up the mountain. It has a pleasant square and restaurants leading from it. We enjoyed the views and there is a Michelin restaurant here but we didn’t fancy the drive in the evening. We were staying lower down and could walk to a little cove and had wonderful fish restaurant each evening ,so depends what you are looking for ! Also the port at Maratea is pleasant with a few restaurants and canoe trips.

A lovely old town, set amid beautiful mountain scenery with spectacular coastline. Worth driving up to the Christ statue for the views. Local cafes and bars in Maratea and the port were great. Lovely people and good value. Delicious fish lunch at 1999 Resataurant and tasty pizza at Brussello.
Rita and Marco's place is beautiful. There's an amazing sea view and a nice garden. The room was huge and the shower is a complete luxury compared to other place we had stayed in south Italy. We arrived late at night and Marco was already waiting for us; he even turned the heating in advance so the room was not cold. To access the parking you need to go steep downhill and then you get to an ample space. We had breakfast in the terrace since it was a sunny morning. Definitely, I recommend this place
Even though we only stayed one night, it was by far the best stay during our week in Italy. Located just in front of the sea, a nicely decorated room that was heated up for our arrival (it was cold beginning of April). Very friendly owner, who served the very best breakfast (bread, butter, home made marmelade, ham, cheese, egg, youghurt, fruit and vegetables). Just above the house we had a perfect lunch at Ristorante Da Cesare, which we also recomend.
Was a stopover for us on a drive from Campania to Calabria, but it ended up being a beautiful place to explore and relax. The rooms were comfortable with a great design style. Probably the best bathroom I had in Italy. It was also a great value with easy gated parking and a delicious breakfast provided. Stay here if you get the chance to go to Maratea! Staff was very friendly and helpful.
The location could not be more central than La Stanza dell'Angolo's was. Our balcony was looking over a nice, central square. Clean, functional room, warm personal service. Our host even walked ahead to point where we could comfortably park our car. Overall, we were mesmerized by peaceful, off-season Maratea and its surrounding mountains -- and its shy but friendly inhabitants.
The location, ambience and quality of the hotel facilities were all exceptional. The space in the hotel grounds and the number of bars and dining places meant that there were never any queues. Everything about the hotel was top class. The breakfasts were 'out of this world' and the piano lounge decoration was extremely impressive.
The property was just as represented on Bookings.com. The location was excellent, near the old town and the Christ the Redeemer statue. Restaurants were within walking distance. The best feature was the owner, Giuseppe…kind, good hearted and most helpful! My wife loved his booklet that explained every single thing.
The room and bathroom were very clean. The bed was comfortable and there was a good shower. The shared breakfast room was well equipped. The B&B was a short walk from the centre of the old town of Maratea. Giuseppe was very helpful with advice and recommendations.
The Hotel has lots of green, a beautiful swimming pool, and a jacuzzi. The swimming pool is available at no extra cost.
I think it is great value for the price and a very good stay for a 3-star hotel. Feels more like 4 stars.
Positioning, cleanliness, service.
Breakfast was outstanding, really appreciated.
Fiumicello Beach was 2min walk from the hotel. The port is 5min by walk or you can rent the e-bike from the hotel and be there in seconds.
This hotel is a gem with the most beautiful location, good restaurant, nice staff, beautiful decoration, good parking, comfortable and very clean. If you're looking for a calm, romantic hotel, this is the place.
The host is a very nice and friendly who will really give you all the details and recommend you thr best places to go and visit in Maratea. The rooms are very clean and tidey and the breakfast is very good.
The location was perfect with a private beach, beautiful water for swimming and comfortable lounges. The staff were really nice and our dinner was surprisingly good which we didn’t expect at a beach hotel.
The location and setting of this hotel is unbelievably beautiful. The staff cooked whatever we asked for even when it was off the menu. the breakfast was perfect. Thank you Santavenre Hotel and Staff.
