Perfectly located on the lake edge in Bellagio, Hotel Florence has a rustic Italian charm to it. The bedroom and bathrooms were spacious and they had the best hair dryer in the room, long thick haired friends will understand the need for this!
Owned by 4 generations of women since 1880, Hotel Belvedere offers panoramic views of Lake Como. The private garden has a swimming pool with a hot tub. Parking is free.
Hotel Excelsior Splendide is an Art Nouveau building of 1907. It is set on Bellagio's lakeside promenade, right in front of Lake Como and a short walk from the ferry harbour.

Bellagio is such a cute town. I recommend staying there just for a day and then visiting the other small towns around it with the ferry. It is quite expensive compared to other cities but the landscapes and views are worth it.

Bellagio was by far the best village/town to stay in on Lake Como. Shopping, restaurants, bars, cafes were excellent. The streets were fantastic, and very photographic. Ferries were easy to catch to other parts of the lake. Sitting outside the Sports cafe bar near the church as a daily ritual to sip caffe or a Aperol Spritz.

Bellagio has the perfect location in Lake Como in order to visit other places around the lake. It is very picturesque and unique. It is much better than Como to stay during your trip since it's not a big town but rather a very beautiful village. The only problem is the road leading there, which is rather narrow, but this is the case for the whole of Lake Como. The alternative is moving around by boat.

The restaurants and bars and narrow lanes were great.
The restaurants and bars and narrow lanes were great. The lanes are mostly steep climbs so be fit or stop in a bar half way! Just out of town is the Alle Darsene di Loppia, very good restaurant.
Cars are generally excluded from the town centre so if you have your own car you need to make sure you can get to your accommodation. And if you have a car you need to be bold when driving, because the local Italians can fit a car through a tiny gap, at high speed, and you must do the same to get anywhere. Trust them and enjoy the ride!
The ferry trips around Lake Como were great - you can explore a lot of beautiful old towns from the ferry.

We loved Bellagio!
We loved Bellagio! we also spent a day in Varenna (via ferry) - quieter, but just as charming. Take the tour of the Melza Villa there (the interior plus gardens). Note that for all of the Villa tours, all accessible by public ferry, order your tickets well in advance because day of they will all be sold out. Bellagio and Varenna are similar in that both are built into the side of an Alp, and the "cross streets" all require navigating a hundred or more stairs. Folks who live there don't seem to notice, but in the hot sun we were sure stopping every ten stairs to rest. We just randomly picked "cute" restaurants and enjoyed every one.

Bellagio was a perfect 2 night stay.
Bellagio was a perfect 2 night stay. Our visit was in autumn but there were still lots of tourist. It has easy access via ferry to many of the other villages around Lake Como for day trips. Bellagio has many restaurants, shops and places for short walks.
The hotel is nice and clean with modern interior design, close to shops and restaurants. Excellent breakfast choices with the view of Lake Como. The hotel staff is super friendly. The young lady at the front desk gave us a very nice map of Bellagio and she also recommended a couple of places for us. On our first night, we had no idea that the bathroom door can open from the top(very modern door). We though it was broken and was going to fall down. We called the hotel line, the guy came to assist within 1 minute even though it was after-hours.
Amazing hospitality service provided like a family run hotel business. The views are amazing from the breakfast room and the hotel rooms in case you have a lake side view. The breakfast was delicious and also the dinner we had at the restaurant. Even if you don’t have a car I highly recommend staying here since the whole package is worth it - amazing food and views of the lake, a few minutes to downtown Bellagio, central location to visit the Bellagio-Menaggio-Varenna ferry triangle. Thanks for an amazing time in Lake Como!
Nicely designed boutique hotel in Bellagio!
Good location - very close to the pier, easily accessible.
Great staff - there was a landslide that disrupted the transport in lake como on the day before our check-in and the staff was very kind to message us on this information. Staff is also friendly throughout our stay
Breakfast - breakfast is offered at the patio restaurant of the hotel, which is very comfortable to start off the day. Staff in the restaurant is also very friendly and helpful!
The apartment was beautifully located up on the hill overseeing the lake Como. 10 minutes away from bellagio central and 5 mins to the supermarket and to nearby beach by car. I enjoyed my mornings looking at sunrise from the apartment. The apartment was also huge, can easily fit 4-6 people. The host was lovely, oriented us to town and gave very helpful tips, was very easy to reach to. Hassle free check in and check out too.
Spacious, and renovated in 2015 with all the latest top-tier furnishings and appliances made this a very comfortable choice for the two of us. Loved that the property overlooked Lake Como and was only a very easy ten or fifteen minute walk to the center of Bellagio. The parking garage was perfect for our Panda hybrid rental car and the entry gate and garage door were very convenient to operate.
Gorgeous, traditional quaint property in the heart of Bellagio. Quiet, well placed hotel with comfortable, clean rooms and lovely, helpful staff. Good breakfast with views of Lake Como from room and terrace. Excellent restaurants next door.
Enjoyed our stay in this beautiful part of the world especially watching an electrical storm through the windows from the comfort of our bed!
Perfect location with stunning view from the balcony. Parking is very near the apartment if you arrive by car. Clean, spacious, and secure. Netflix and wifi worked well. Kitchen is well equipped and there are plenty of towels and bathroom toiletries. Bellagio is worth the visit and is a good base for the other sites to see in this part of Lake Como.
Domus Bellagio had the best views of any hotel we’ve ever been in, looking directly over Lake Como. The staff there were amazing, picking us up from the ferry port initially and then dropping us there early so we could get back to Como for our train. Breakfast was phenomenal and was dropped off outside our door, two beautifully cooked croissants.
Meet and greet by owner! Alberto gave us all the tips and maps of the area upon arrival. They had stocked the kitchen with food, coffee, water and everything you need to start your trip. Their house was immaculent and clean and had an amazing view of Lake Como. The house was beautiful and the neighborhood bakery and restaurants were wonderful.
The service was exceptional!! We stayed in a few different spots during our Italy trip and this was by far our favourite. The staff were super accommodating and so kind! We were so impressed and couldn’t stop raving to our friends and they’ve booked their Como stay at Belvedere as well. We can’t wait to come back!
Amazing location in Bellagio. It was close to everything but still far away from main crowds.
We did not really feel like going out as the property was everything we wanted in Lake Como.
The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and kitchen was well appointed for cooking. The rooms were cleaned daily.
Clean ,modern and spacious house in a perfect location with amazing views of Lake Como. The terrace is so relaxing. Pictures do not show how beautiful Casa Ketty really is. I highly recommend that you see it for yourself. I am so happy we chose this property for our stay in Bellagio.
Great location-million dollar view of Lake Como. We enjoyed a drink at sunset on the 5th floor roof bar each night. Easy walk to ferry, restaurants, and shops. Staff very helpful and arranged a covid test at the nearest site a few miles away.
The hotel has an excellent location with a great view of Lake Como. Our room was very comfortable and clean.
The bathroom was also sparkling clean. Breakfast had nice options. It is very close to Bellagio by car. Internet speed was very good.
The view was incredible. The property manager, Arianna, was lovely and supportive when we had a challenge getting to Bellagio from Lake Como. Breakfast fare was simple, great local produce and tasty.
Our room had views to Lake Como and the mountains on the other side. The free access to the Villa Melli gardens was a bonus we used that to walk to the Bellagio Centre. Overall a great location.
