As a trainee I booked my room with the hope of paying 132$ as posted. However, when I inquired to the amount went to 160$. My training allowance was not enough to cover the 160$ for 2 days so I confirmed with staff that I would not be checking in. Complete my training and stayed at a cheaper costing hotel and Grande Cache Inn& Suites still managed to clean my account out for one room and not 2 nights like i originally booked. I called the manager for reimbursement but was not considered. Left me stranded at grande cache since the Inn&Suites withdrew my last 156$ dollars. I did clarify at I would not be checking in to staff.

We come to Grande Cache often to train for the Canadian Death Race and to complete the Passport to the Peaks program. We love the wildness of the mountain range that surrounds this hamlet. Grande Cache has all the amenities we need including the best veggie cuisine at Dragon Palace, the local Chinese restaurant. Businesses here remember you by name and we always feel welcome.
Breakfast was in the restaurant attached to the hotel and was very good but not included in price. Location is excellent in the centre of Grande Cache. Room has good facilities, comfy bed, clean bathroom, everything you could want. View from room was of the mountains (room was at front of building). Warm public rooms and bedroom which was essential as it was during a cold snap. Staff very helpful and friendly. Coffee available all day in reception.
The staff were great, they loved my dog and had lots of treats for him. There was an issue when I arrived but they solved it right away for me. The beds aren’t the greatest but the pillows sort of make up for it. It is a nice hotel but I think new beds are in order for the price. Other than that everything was great! The restaurant server was very friendly as well and the food was good home cooked Canadian breakfast ❤️
The hotel is walkable to everything you need - restaurants, grocery, convenience, liquor stores. We had a family suite which had one queen in the main room and one in a separate room. The kitchenette is small (stove top, fridge, microwave, sink and a good supply of dishes/cookware) but did what we needed it to. The hotel is older but well kept and our room had been renovated. Great mountain views!
The hotel was located right off the highway and walking distance to restaurants. Our room was very clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable with great pillows. The bathroom sink was separate from the toilet/shower, allowing my friend and myself to be able to get ready at the same time. The front desk staff was very helpful with answering any questions.
Small town ambience where people have big hearts. Loved the interactions with the staff, the delicious breakfast and the amazing sun room with a million dollar view from our floor. Stayed for just one night but loved every bit of it. A big thank you to everyone at the Grande cache inn and suites!
The hotel was very conveniently located close to downtown, a short walk or drive to the trailheads for several hikes, and right next door to the Tourist Centre. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and we had a lovely view of the mountains.
The Alpine Motel is a wonderful little gem in Grande Cache. Although it’s a older property it is so well kept, exceptionally clean and the staff are amazing. We had a great stay with peace and quiet waking up to the beautiful view of the mountains.
Everything was excellent. It’s located in the centre of Grande Cache, as everything is. It’s therefore near everything. The room was immaculate, comfortable, large, properly furnished. The value was excellent, as were the staff.
The hotel is conveniently located close to the highway, is very clean with comfortable beds. Staff were friendly, helpful and provided information about the area.
