Strangely, we did not feel the brotherly love among the people who live there. In general, they were quite indifferent to visitors, almost unfriendly. I’ve stayed there several times and each time I could have stayed longer. It was peaceful and quiet. I would recommend more cookware and larger cookware as in pots and pans. Our stay was far too brief- only overnight. We did get to see the Bell and take in a tour of Independence Hall which is a DO NOT MISS experience. It was so uplifting to hear the history presented by a good presenter with a great sense of humor and patriotism in the most genuine way. Buddakan restaurant was absolutely delicious and reservations are a must as well. The people we encountered- both staff and regular citizens- were very friendly and helpful. Could not be nicer to us. Barnes museum is an eccentric curiosity with probably the largest collection of Renoir canvases - ranging from sublime to godawful- on the planet. Nice sprinkling of other Impressionist era work and some other interesting objets. We had hoped to hit the Reading Market and hear the Wanamaker organ and do the Rocky steps.
