The cutest small town any time of year.
The cutest small town any time of year. I've been in the summer when people fill the beaches and streets, and I've been in the winter when the buildings are decorated with lights and everyone hangs ornaments on a Christmas tree on the beach. Lots of places to walk and explore both along the water and inland, many historical and beautiful buildings to tour, vineyards and beaches to spend your time, and wonderful places to stay.

We loved it all, but especially the Red Parrot and Moorings where we had great food. Ma's Donuts on the outskirts of the town was excellent too, if no good for the waistline. Travel in town is easy out of season. We walked a lot and when driving easily found parking for free.

I only go to Newport for the Chowderfest in the spring and the seafood fest in the fall and it is a great place to hang out. So many great restaurants like the Black Pearl and Midtown Oyster Bar to name a couple...

Unfortunately, I reached the hotel on night of September 23rd whereas my booking Thro Booking.com was from September 24th
The hotel charged almost USD 1000 for one night, which I felt was terrible
Hotel was not full and charging more than double than per night rate of Booking.com left us with bad experience

Wonderful place to visit.
Wonderful place to visit.
When we bought the tickets to tour the mansion "The Breakers" we were told that we could upgrade our tickets to include more mansions when finished. For us, 1 mansion tour was sufficient, so I'm happy we didn't purchase a multi-tour upfront.
The Cliff Walk was a little more difficult than I had read in some reviews. We did the entire 3.5 miles & there were multiple spots of rocky terrain, not just one as I was expecting. However, it was worth it!
We timed the ocean drive for sunset & the views were gorgeous. There were multiple spots to stop to enjoy the view even more.
We got around Newport mostly by walking, it is do-able but many roads have no sidewalks, so if you need an even terrain, I wouldn't attempt walking everywhere.

Loved the Cliff walk, and the 40 steps, toured the Breakers and The Marble House. Wish we had planned for tea at the Marble House pagoda. The free trolley made getting around town. We ran out of time to do anything else.
location was great- right in the middle of Newport, between the tourist part on the port and the more local scene on broadway. bed was really comfortable. great price. great recommendations from Brian to go watch bands in Fifth Element (Monday night great house band - really enjoyed this) and the Fastway. nice food in Obrien’s Irish pub and gorgeous brunch in an Italian Bar Cino- all walking distance from the accomodation.
The hotel location was excellent for enjoying the Newport waterfront. Super convenient to all the attractions, restaurants, shopping, bars, trolley tours, etc. Brian was extremely helpful in helping us to arrange transportation and make recommendations for dining, etc The hotel was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Our room was equipped with all the necessities.
Cute old school charming hotel. Rooms were a little dated but charming in the New England way. the location could not be better and the price was amazing (also included nice breakfast spread). If you are there to explore Newport there is no better place. Stay somewhere else if you want resort feeling and seclusion from
town activities.
The location was phenomenal. The Inn is at the bottom of the main "downtown" area for Newport, so we could just step outside and head north until we found something that piqued our interest. Plus, being right on top of the bar, it was easy to find any wayward group members when we needed to regroup: They were at the bar.
Delightful boutique hotel in the historic Newport area. Well situated to the waterfront area. the rooms were newly renovated to a high standard and very comfortable. staff were friendly and helpful. will definitely stay again.
Lovey tea time treats and great and varied breakfast. Fabulous situation. You can walk the entire road with lots of restaurants and shops close by. Parking is directly across from the hotel. Would stay there again.
We liked the fact that it was very close to all the activity in Newport. The interior of the hotel was also nice and could be fun during non-corona times. The price in the off-season is much more affordable for many.
Room was comfortable and very clean. Hotel was on a quiet street and walkable to restaurants and sights. Breakfast included cereal, toast, pastry, hard boiled eggs and very good coffee. Nice rooftop seating area.
The hotel was centrally located, with access to the downtown Newport area, including shops and restaurants. The hotel was also very clean and modern, with many great amenities (e.g., pool and fitness center).
One of the more uniquely decorated hotels and rooms I've stayed in. Very relaxing and yet close to great places and sights in Newport.
Staff is very friendly and Morgan is a rock star concierge.
Staff was great, breakfast very good and the hotel was clean. The location within Newport was perfect for whatever you wanted to do and was easy walking distance to everything.
Very nice location far from the busy part of Newport but still walking distance from everything. Room was modern but coozy and very big. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious.
Luxury experience with meager off-season rates makes blending into Newport for a week in winter an annual event: two baths and two bedrooms at hotel room rates.
